not worth your time
5 February 2003
This movie is among the worst I have ever seen. The direction is clumsy, the dialogue is painfully stupid and in general the movie is like any other soft core porn movie, just maybe even worse than average soft porns.

Vampire waitresses, lots and lots of strip tease girls and totally out of place flashbacks that take too much time from the overall plot. I watched this movie because I like Tim Abell (correction: I LIKED him before I saw this) but he was a letdown of the century. Well, there was not much to work for, either, the story is so weak.

The stripper girls had great bodies, so if someone wants to see beautiful girls in a movie with no story, this is their chance. Other viewers, avoid this movie at all costs.

Billy Elliot (2000)

For the better future
24 August 2002
Billy Elliot is a very touching movie. Seeing the bigger concept beneath the obvious story makes you gasp for breath. The state the society was in, the old do's and dont's that classify people from an early age, being able to rise against the circumstances and seeing the better future. Wonderful story, excellent cast (Jamie Bell is Oscar-worthy with every move and expression he makes) and glorious music makes this movie a real feast! Truly a feel-good-movie that you can watch over and over again, never tiring of it.

Mystery beyond belief

I was totally hooked by this action/thriller/mystery/drama movie. It really is hard to specify what genre would describe it best. The story itself is intriguing, making you want to know what really happened. The cast, including f.ex Vincent Cassel, Samuel le Bihan, Monica Bellucci and Mark Dacascos, does flawless job. Every scene is perfect: I enjoy the colors, the lights and shadows, the camera angles, the speed and slow motion, everything. The director Christophe Gans does extraordinary job in this movie. All mystery/legend lovers will love this movie!

adorable pooches - and owners

A really wonderful feel-good-movie set in dog show milieu. Everybody who has ever had anything to do with kennel world and / or dog shows will find many familiar things in this movie. Non-dog lovers can also enjoy the movie since it has wonderful actors and exellent story (done in a highly entertaining documentary style. By the way, the dogs in this movie really are show champions, all are the very best examples of the breed!

This bites and will not let go!

What a bloodfeast! Solid action through and through, from first minutes to the last. The Daywalker (Wesley Snipes) is even more invincible than in the first movie, a very good performance from Snipes. Kris Kristofferson is also doing a good job. Whistler may look like a Santa Clause, but when he opens his mouth he is a seen-it-all veteran who knows exactly what to do. Seldom have I walked out of the theater and straight back in line, wanting for more, but with this movie I made an exception.

The Base (1999 Video)

domestic enemies

This is a highly entertaining cat-and-mouse movie between Mark Dacascos and Tim Abell. Dacascos is sent into a military base to do undercover search concerning drug traffic. It seems some soldiers are not playing by the book... Enjoyable performances from both Dacascos and Abell, particularly the latter.

life is so bittersweet
24 August 2002
This love story just gets me every time, no matter how many times I see it. It feels so good that there is someone, who is so devoted to his love that he will keep the memory of their romance alive, even after she has passed away a long time ago. Wanting to believe in love larger than life lives in every woman's heart (and, I believe, many men want to believe it too) and finding The One becomes the most important matter in your life. Very solid performances from Kevin Costner and Robin Wright Penn, but the real scene stealer is Paul Newman. He is amazing in this movie. Have someone to cuddle beside you and watch this movie, you will not regret it.

Betrayed (1988)

Chilling movie about man's dualistic personality
29 April 2001
I've seen Betrayed for three times now, and each time it just gets better and better.

Tom Berenger is excellent as Gary Simmons. He is perfect for the role, that requires in-depth understanding about love and hate. This man loves his family dearly and is extremely loyal to things he believes to be justified, and at the same time he is capable of doing most savage deeds towards other people he think are sub-human. Simmons is so cold and yet such a nice man at the same time it makes my blood freeze in my veins.

Also Debra Winger is great as Katie Phillips. She finds herself falling in love with this man and then realizes that everything is not so perfect she thought it was. Her disappointment is almost palpable. I highly recommend this movie to all, who wonder with amazement the dark sides of human nature.
