Silent Steel (1995)
Really Good!
This game is a really fun FMV the first time around. If you get stuck in it definitely get a walkthrough and unfortunately it gets old by the second time around. However the acting is generally good and it's consistently exciting. I fail to see how this never got real big.
Mute Witness (1995)
Excellent leading actress, overall suspenseful film
I like to watch independent films. Some of them are way better than anything Hollywood could ever create. That's why I'm happy I get IFC (Independent Film Channel) on my TV. I saw this film was going to be on IFC. I didn't really know much about the film at the time I decided to watch it, but I felt like watching a thriller movie.
It is a good thing I caught this film. It is definitely a superior indie suspense picture. The leading actress, Marina Sudina, is beautiful and sexy and acts in her role very well. It is too bad that none of her other film work is available on video or DVD in the U.S.A. I would definitely see another one of her films.
Anyhow, I think very highly of this film, not only as an indie thriller, but just as an overall excellent movie.
Gattaca (1997)
One of the best Sci- Fi films ever! (spoilers)
Star Trek- First Contact, the Star Wars Trilogy, Jurassic Park, The
Matrix. These are certified Sci-Fi classics and it's time to add a new film to that list - Gattaca. Gattaca tells the story of a man with a heart problem who wants to travel in space.
He changes identities with another man (Jude Law, who is nothing short of brilliant) to enter the
program. A week before his scheduled launch he falls in love and is suspected of murder.
Gattaca tells an excellent story with amazing visuals and music.
The acting is impeccable and I personally believe it deserves some Oscars for Law and Niccol. Simply an astounding work of art.
Jane Doe (2001)
Very good movie; I give it about a 7 & 1/2
Very good movie. It had mysterious surprises from beginning to end. It stars one of my favorite newer actresses, Teri Hatcher, whose performance I enjoyed in Tomorrow Never Dies. Overall, I would like to say that this is an exceptional film that I would watch more than once.
