John Light (2019)
Touches the heart, makes you laugh, stirs up faith--RECOMMENDED!
I really loved "John Light." It is rare for me to find a film and characters that both hooked me and made me wish for more.
The film isn't perfect, but it handles the journey of John Light well. The message is heartfelt and moving, with several laugh out loud moments, and a compelling story which many of us will identify with. The power of faith, of people who use their faith for good, and of being able to belong to a family, despite one's past, is something all people desire. This film is worthy and should be watched.
Highly recommended!
Wild Faith (2018)
A Post-Civil War Yarn w/a Redemptive Arc! Recommended!
A really well-done.post-Civil War-slash-western with a redemptive arc and a message against bigotry. When a circus train breaks down, all hell breaks loose!
It has good acting, memorable characters, quite good CGI (except for one scene) and some unexpected storyline surprises.
And it has a great finish!
I really appreciated "Wild Faith"! Recommended!
Tapestry (2019)
Keep an Open Mind; This Film Does What It Sets Out to Do!
"Tapestry" starring Stephen Baldwin (Ryan) tells the story of a man who seems to be at the zenith of his career when he unexpectedly loses his job. His marriage in trouble, his kids strangers to him, and his mother battling terminal cancer, Ryan played by charismatic Stephen Baldwin begins to experience several coincidences that lead him back to that which is most important.
The production values are fair (would've been a 10 if better). It's the overall story that I liked, and that touched my heart. The acting is good to very good. If there's a novel or true story upon which this film is based, I'd like to read it.
Recommended. Watch with an open mind. It's worth a watch!

(A lot of haters out there of anything Conservative sadly is the reality nowadays.)
The Chosen (2017)
Amazing; Can't Recommend This Series Enough!!
"The Chosen" is a series focused on the events and characters surrounding the coming of Jesus of Nazareth. It's clear this series punches above its weight in it's production values, story-telling, and characters. In most films about Christ, the peripheral characters are 2-dimensional and for the most part uninteresting. In "The Chosen", the series focuses in on the biblical characters in astonishing ways. The characters are interesting because they are like us, facing hardships, difficult choices, and flawed--until Jesus comes into the picture.
I love the Jewish flavor we see throughout the series. The actor playing Jesus, Jonathan Rournie, gives a superb performance. He displays charisma while retaining a down to earth persona. He's quite funny at times too. The soundtrack of the series is probably not you'd expect of a Biblical story, but it is fresh and welcomed!
The whole first season series is a wonder to watch. I can't wait for season 2!
I highly recommend this series!
