Hijack (2023)
Who wrote this?
What teenager with zero to none logical and critical thinking wrote this script? The story is terribly told, you lose all interest in the series at half of episode one, mediocre direction and editing. Avoid at all cost and save your time, there is already too many options nowadays to lose your time on stuff like this, this is unacceptable, I just don't understand why apple set the bar so low.
Is this really the quality that a trillion dollar company can deliver?
Terrible dialogues, weak trama, illogical situations one after another, unlikeable characters and the list goes on, I'm starting to believe the rumors that the script was written by AI.
13:14. The Challenge of Helping (2022)
I don't get why the low reviews
An interesting view on how the modern-age influencers can take a leap out of the superficial digital world and make a difference in the tangible world.
This is a well executed documentary that portraits the difficulties faced by the LoveArmy charitable organization and its financial and most importantly mediatic struggle to rebuild 50 houses destroyed by a devastating earthquake in Mexico in 2017.
Even when it lacks of deeper context for viewers outside of Mexico to understand the plot, this documentary should be a go-to guide for any starting small independent fund raiser trying to make a big impact in a developing world community.
The Lodge (2019)
The little girl acting deserves an oscar
Good psych horror movie, worth seeing if you are a fan of the genre, upsetting finale as most of this type of movies, good directing, nice photography, edition could be better. But the must-seen in the movie is the little girl acting, simply amazing, the strength and realism of the character emotions is outstanding. You can feel the pain she is feeling. 5 stars top tier acting.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Dammit Disney, stop and watch The Mandalorian
Disney: Somehow you managed to get Ewan McGregor to play the OWK role again, you have millions of dollars for budget, and you decide, again, to make a very basic production, no direction, terrible acting, sad photography, sitcom script. I mean cmon, is not THAT hard, you guys did it great on The Mandalorian, it's been the single most "new subscribers" show you have produced and somehow your moron executives decided, "you know what, let's produce this Obi Wan series using the same structure as the episodes 7, 8, 9 which NOBODY liked" Look this is not a matter you guys keep making more child-friendly content, I don't care about that, is just the terrible writing and directing in the whole production. Shame.
The Midnight Sky (2020)
Oh god Netflix you gotta stop financing this fiascos
Yes. Basically what everyone else is saying is true slow, pointless a soulless film. People arguing this is a drama, it is not, and even if it was is a pointless drama with no plot or climax.
