The Last of Us: Long, Long Time (2023)
Superb! Magnificent!
Best episode so far. What a beautiful side story to be told. It shows how this series is not only about zombies, but also about humanity and truly heroes. I am not really sure why the rating for this episode is the lowest, maybe people were not prepared to watch such an amazing take on a post apocalyptic scenario. The "us" is truly represented by Frank and Bill's story which allows us to remember that human beings are made of love, strong relationships and care. I'm so happy we were able to watch this. I wasn't expecting but now I understand why this series is so so good. Well done writers and directors, this episode is a piece of art.
Harry & Meghan: The Complete Story (2022)
The true story, finally!
Not surprise with so many haters here. This documentary is light, authentic and super easy to watch. It's great to see that they both wanted to finally take back control of the narrative about their own lives (fair enough) and expose all the absurds British tabloids would publicise about them. Harry and Meghan come across like very approachable, sensible and down to earth people. Fair play to them for being able to share their true story with the wider public, even after having their lives & mental health almost completely destroyed by overexposure in the media. If you want to know the truth about them, you should defo watch this.
Easy (2016)
Amazing series!
Love everything about this series. Light, fun, modern and as the name suggests, so easy to watch. I love that the stories are interconnected somehow, but you don't have to watch every episode to understand the the whole series. Such a great tv show, definitely worth it.
The Rachel Divide (2018)
What the news didn't show you
This story always intrigued me as I couldn't understand the rationale behind her decision of defining herself as a black woman. Thanks to the documentary I could understand that Rachel and her siblings were victims of extremely abusive and extremist catholics parents. She is so traumatised by her childhood that she associated her whiteness to her parents and all horrible memories related to them. And in order to completely get disassociated to them and to all her traumas, she started to see herself as a black woman. It doesn't make any sense for us, but traumas can really disturb the human brain and it can act in strange ways. This is just the way she's found to not deal with her identity as a submissive, mentally/physically/sexually abused white girl back in Montana.
Ojing-eo geim (2021)
Don't waste your time
Extremely bad acting (including the amazing VIP characters - WTF was that?), predictable ending and scenes that dragged on for too long. There is no character development and your don't feel connected to them or their dramas.
Two Distant Strangers (2020)
Great short movie
Wow I'm shocked with the amount of bad comments about this movie. It's simple, straight forward and it shows what happens in America when you're a black person. Don't give me that shallow argument of "not all white cops are like that". This is not what is being discussed. We are discussing systemic racism which means that we have systems and institutions that produce racially disparate outcomes, regardless of the intentions of the people who work within them.
