Bob Marley: One Love (2024)
Poor and unjust to Bob Marley's memory
The actors have more talent than was shown in this poorly made movie about Bob Marley. They skip any of his upbringing by dropping a few captions before launching straight into a unity concert before he randomly disappears to England with no real explanation, then he gets cancer and randomly goes back home to do a unity concert and that's it. There's zero depth to the story and it's a real injustice to this rare genius that walked amongst us mere mortals. The film was lazy and had the story had 10x more to give...Ben Kingsley Adir is a brilliant actor and he could've really made this story even great whilst Lashana Lynch also was under-utilised considering what she did do in the film.
This movie had all the right ingredients, the incredible music, a once in a lifetime genius true story, brilliant actors but all round it was a complete let down that gave away all the Oscars, plaudits and tears that would have clenched at the heart strings.
Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty (2022)
Absolute Class
An absolute classic tv series based on classic true story of the rise of Magic Johnson, Dr Buss and the LA Lakers. Two seasons of incredible story telling, naturally embellished to create the drama to keep people's attention but almost near perfect to the truth. I am so sad that has been cancelled by hbo to continue the journey of the rise of the Lakers...they could've so told this for generations to come with the Kobe and Shaq story along with the ownership change to "Jean Bean" aka Jeanie Buss, followed by Dwayne Wade and Lebron...what an incredible story telling drama series this could've been. The mind boggles why HBO didn't do more to sell this because I watched this since day one but no-one else I know has caught on in the same way I watched Game of Thrones from Day 1 and I don't think it really took off until season 4 or 5 when everyone then jumped on the bandwagon.
Shame on HBO for making such a great drama and then losing their balls.
Mr Bates vs. The Post Office (2024)
Nadhim Zahawi
Why in the hell was that corrupt Tory mp acting on the true story of government and corporate corruption that resulted in the death, suicide, depression, criminal convictions and proceedings etc etc of hundreds of business people? The whole thing was made a joke of...all those innocent people who were gaslit by the system that continues to gaslight us all on as daily basis. Absolutely morally and criminally corrupt, completely devoid of any human sense of what is right and wrong. This is just one small example of the huge impact our professional criminal mafia aka the government has on everyone's daily lives and you had that scumbag involved in it as if to make a mockery of us all...we see you and one day, normal honest hardworking human beings will come together!
Hijack (2023)
What a dead series!
The acting from the start to the end is completely crap...at every point there's nothing realistic that takes place in a real life hijacking. God knows who made this but come on, did you not watch this and think how does anyone watching including your clown ass self think this is real...? I thought the whole premise of tv or film series is escapism but all this did was make us question what kind of joke this is, couldn't engage in any of the emotion of the drama because at every turn the acting and story line was a pile of poop. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone if you paid me, you're just fooling yourselves making this in the first place and every clown who rated this to achieve 7+ is obviously biased or dumb af.
Social Currency (2023)
The destruction of society and rise of the idiot generation
The ultimate destruction of human beings...we were given a brain so that we could get out of the jungle but these lot only want to turn society back into jungle animals...Sakshi was the epitome of this with zero tolerance and strength to handle a single thing, she throws a tantrum at every angle and manipulates the situation for her benefit only...completely emotion driven loser who spends her money to make herself feel better about the worthless state she's created within herself while she spurs abuse at everyone else. Also shows the valueless system being created in humans that they'll sell anything to make it.
Rana Naidu (2023)
Ray Donovan
This is a complete copy of Ray Donovan except it's in Hindi and with average acting...I have zero interest and watching it all over again when I've already seen the original. They haven't changed a thing, that's how embarrassing the whole thing is...at least you could've used Ray Donovan as a base and created your own story but no...youngest brother abused by priest, oldest has Parkinson's and works in a gym and middle being the fixer for the rich and famous with a jailhouse clanger of a dad...so unoriginal and lacking any kind of imagination. Why would an actor even consider being a part of this? What a joke!
Luther: The Fallen Sun (2023)
Is this Luther or Doctors?
This is literally Doctors style acting, the dialogue delivery is so poor at every point. It's a shame that BBC have let down Idris Elba so badly by not supporting his ability with better actors, dialogue, suspense etc.
How did they watch this and think it was on anywhere near the same level as the series which were gripping...those you can watch over and over again without getting bored but 17mins into the film and already I'm dropping off with zero interest in continuing...
Such a shame having waited for this to come out for some time...BBC really need to take a look at themselves and stop making everything appear like Doctors.
Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam (2022)
I don't understand all the good reviews
I don't understand all the good reviews, did I need some drugs or something to help me through this bore? I genuinely feel like I'm on a different planet to have watched that film which is rated over 8/10. Are these reviews actually from real people??
Half way through, I had to speed it up to 1.5x to rush through the long silences and pauses just get to the end and make sure I wasn't missing something special that everyone else is talking about but yeah no there was nothing special about this film.
It's one of the most random stories delivered in probably the worst way possible. Maybe I need to be from that part of the world to be able relate to it or something, god knows but it wasn't good in the slightest.
Cirkus (2022)
Film for 7 year olds
Why has Ranveer made a film for 7 year olds?!?
It's like watching Richie Rich now you're almost 40...the worst acting you can imagine that can only make a child under 10 laugh. 1.5B INR spent making this, it's a scam...I'm so glad it was on Netflix and I didn't waste money or time going to see it at the cinema...who would ever sign up to making this film and then did they not watch it after they made it?
The biggest gasiyo you'll ever watch...I don't think there's one thing you could say about this that is the slightest of compliments...everyone is a joke and they made a joke of themselves. I only gave it one because Johnny Lever appeared otherwise this was fully a zero rated film.
I Used to Be Famous (2022)
The feel good film of the year
We watched this on Xmas Day and it was just the perfect film we didn't know we needed to see. Ed Skrein was class...I'm tempted to watch Ill Manors now just because of him.
The music isn't the greatest hence the 8 and not a 10 but the acting and storyline will make you warm inside with good vibes only!!
Stevie's acting was superb too...loved his drumming and how he grew in the story.
Highly recommend watching this film if you have a soul...people without empathy will find it boring hence the average 6.6 rating...it's definitely way better than that. Just don't watch it if you have high expectations of everything in life and then you can't spoil it for the people who live with joy and gratitude for the simple things.
Killer Sally (2022)
Losing against the District Attorney Game
This is a documentary about how the District Attorney will play the system to defeat anyone they come up against regardless of whether they're innocent or guilty...they only want to win and Dan Goldstein is a prime example of this. Just look at how he's aged and riddled with the disgusting things he has said and done to people. He cannot conceive that everyone is different, he simply worked to box Sally up as a violent woman, he used drug addicts/pedlars to provide witness testimony and he basically worked on the notion that mental health issues do not exist especially when you're battered.
The guy literally shows how he celebrated this as a victory when he took her life. It's pretty inconceivable that this battered woman was planned a murder, called 911 and had herself locked up, away from her children and basically lose her own life to take one...there's zero sense in that, zero.
It shows how fraudulent the "justice" system in the US is.
Gangs of London (2020)
Season 1 9/10; Season 2 2/10
They smashed season one but season 2's an absolute flop. No flow, no character depth, poor dialogue and delivery...completely disjointed and a waste of 8 hours of my life.
There's is no realistic content to season 2. If this was London, it would be shutdown quite early on...you wouldn't have an ongoing war zone the way they've portrayed it. It's just completely inconceivable.
You can't connect with anyone, it's predictable and lacks thought/effort in making.
This is a bigger flop than season 8 game of thrones because you can actually see the complete dregs of this production in full colour, at least with GOT you couldn't even see it.
Maja Ma (2022)
Brilliant
Small minded people might struggle with this as they do in life in general but we as a family really enjoyed this from the start to finish...well done all round and ignore the unintelligent.
Super acting from Madhuri, she's not lost a single ounce of talent as she's aged, she's got better if anything and made a film that crosses many boundaries of the unblessed, ignorant souls that walk our planet unfortunately.
There's not many films I could watch again but I would definitely watch this another time and would enjoy just as much...some people should be really proud to make a great film like this against tradition and cultural expectations and others should hang their head in shame that they reviewed this badly.
Cosmic Love (2022)
Why copy Netflix?? Make it your own!
The whole Astro voice copying Netflix's Too Hot To Handle is bizarre...why would you want to make it a similar format rather than believe in your format and find 2 great hosts to deliver the Astro messages. Rubbish on the whole just because of that.
The Pogmentary (2022)
This guy is deluded and drinking his own sauce wayyy too much
"Wherever he goes, he's shining...like a walking star hahahahhaahahahaha what drugs have these lot been taking, I want some! He's a walking clown who's been overpaid and suffers delusions of grandeur as we see throughout the series. He was let go by Sir Alex Ferguson who knew he was rotten to the core. I used to argue that Mourinho should've tried to inspire him but his arrogance is over inflated what the teams he has played in have achieve (note the words I used, they are not achievements as a result of Paul Pogba being in those teams), so Jose would never have been able to get anything out of him, just like OGS and Rangnick. He's an embarrassment to people of colour, he makes us look lazy, he lack the ability to take his responsibility seriously, as a POC, as a man, as a supposed leader and as a footballer who was paid vast sums of money to walk around. You could argue it is the French in him and he needs to feel the love but Cantona was similar except he earnt the love and adoration every single time he stepped on the pitch. Even when he was sent off, he brought a sense of pride to it but this clown shows how low a human being can go pointing the finger at everyone else...it's always everyone else and never himself.
If anyone in normal job trying to survive performed the way he does and has as you see, the way he behaves, the serious lack of focus and dedication to changing his and the teams fortune...you wouldn't last more than 3-6 months but this guy says he deserved a pay rise...
This documentary is the worst case of gaslighting we will experience courtesy of Paul Pogba and the awful Amazon team who already have a shoddy reputation that is worse off by making this.
Below Deck Mediterranean (2016)
Idiotic people apparently dishing out 5 star service
The guys are complete idiots and the girls are just desperate...like how can you fancy such losers. Every season it's exactly the same over and over and basically that's what this show is about. Most of the guests are over privileged snobs and the chefs aka Adam are spoilt brats who throw their toys out the pram.
The Fame Game (2022)
Poor story...only Madhuri made it half decent
The story is poor, not very gripping. Madhuri's acting keeps you semi engaged otherwise I would've completely turned it off. I should've finished this in a day but I dragged it out over 10 days whilst I watched the whole of The Afterparty in one day and another series which says it all.
The actress who plays the daughter is awful in every sense and it's pretty unrealistic how the series ends to think she will be the next star...shows just how bang average the series is.
The Tinder Swindler (2022)
The world thinking they're better than they are
6/10 women thinking they're 10's getting swindled by a fraud, the world thinking they're better than they are.
The story of the world today where people think they are better than they are and getting hitched to people who are basically frauds. I know so many people married into this same story and falling for the same BS.
Temple (2019)
Poor acting ruined a decent film...
Season 1 was decent but the acting in season 2 is so so bad, it just gets worse episode after episode. Just to give you an example, Daniel is with Anna in the woods to move the body, he goes to kiss her and she rejects him right, when she walks away she's smiling because it's a comical scene...that's how unbelievably bad this show becomes. Sad because it had potential!
Sardar Udham (2021)
Brilliant and heart wrenching at the same time
This film should be shown in British museums, schools etc to educate the illiterate in their real history. Vicky Kaushal deserves an Oscar for his performance in telling this story. The low scoring reviews are appalling, expectations of this film being entertaining are ridiculous.
