I really enjoyed my time with this film. It's creepy, mysterious, cute, and sad. With this film, you don't quite know what to expect. It throws lots of surprises to keep you on your toes and wondering what's gonna happen next. Maria played by Noomi Rapace, delivers a great performance here. I've seen a few of her other works and this is certainly one of her better performances. The cinematography is amazing as each shot is done meticulously well. It was a breath of fresh air from some of my recent watches in theaters. I do wish the ending was handled a little differently but all in all, I recommend watching this film as it'll certainly be something you haven't seen before. A24 knocks it out of the park again!

Being a huge Blomkamp fan, I was excited to see what he would do as his next project. While this isn't his best work, it certainly isn't his worst. There were moments where the film is slow/dragged on, however it didn't bother me too much. Another thing I didn't like was how there were moments where I wish could've played out but instead it's the aftermath of something that happened. I definitely wanna rewatch it again to see if I missed anything but altogether I thought the film had a good story, acting, and effects. It was great to see another full length feature film from Blomkamp again.

Spiral: From the Book of Saw is an excellent new addition to the Saw franchise. Everything was improved on. From the locations to the traps, it's amazing. Series veteran Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw 2, 3, 4) directs this film and was a perfect choice to come back and take the helm again. Jigsaw (2017) writers Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg return to write. Combining Darren with the writers was a great choice. They keep elements that made the films iconic and changed it up. New puppet, voice, etc. With all these new changes and seeing how it all played out, I'm really excited to see where this all leads next. All in all I'd say this was worth the wait. Go ahead and give it a watch as soon as you can!

Yes there are moments where the CGI isn't the best or the acting, but underneath it all is actually a pretty good movie. I recently rewatched the first two movies in anticipation for this and I'd say this one is definitely better than the first one but a little weaker compared to the second one. It helps to have watched the other ones as well. Overall I enjoyed Lindsey Morgan's performance and there are some great visually looking scenes.
