Jack Ryan (2018)
Season 3 done right Jack is Back!
J. K did a fantastic job in season 1 but as we know I think the writers made some very poor choices for season 2. I'm happy to say Season 3 places Jack Ryan back at the top of the list. Mediocre will not do in this day and age as people are sick of iconic characters being ruined by sloppy writing and money hungry execs. I think Reacher showed how a character and storyline should be done properly and Jack Ryan season 3 follows suit. The story is full of twists and turns, a political thriller as well as a action packed mystery. Covert Ops, racing against the clock, double agents all work in season 3. Jack Ryan uses his analyst talents and his combat skills to try and uncover a plot to start a world war. I really enjoyed the pace of the series and there were no dull moments. Krasinki shows why he was born to play this roll and is supported well by fellow cast members. People will enjoy this thriller.
Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
Worth the wait
Waiting over a decade for the sequel left my mind as I was immediately immersed in Cameron's world. The story was well thought out with definite links back to the world we live in now. The melting pot of cultures plays heavily and acceptance regardless of looks. The everyday struggles are shown by parents but the true winner here is the under water scenes and world. I tip my hat to the actors but for J. C who makes the scenes look so realistic. I isn't ruined by crappy CGI (Black Adam) and the little details make this a must see movie for sure. The ever expanding world of Pandora will be on show in the next movie and I can't wait to see the finished production 2024.
IMDb on the Scene - Interviews: The Terminal List (2022)
So good I bought the books
Having never heard of Jack Carr and his series I thought this would be another run of the mill tv series. Man was I wrong. From the get go I was dragged into the world of James Reece. Having Pratt play the role, I was dubious, but the full range of his talents are shown in this show. Supported by a great cast and storyline, the action is believable and the training has paid off. I'm only 4 episodes deep but went and bought all 4 Carr books yesterday and 100 pages deep into The Terminal List already. Can't wait for the next series mate.
