Relevant with inconsistances
6 April 2024
Brilliant movie albeit a few inconsistances. The movie was well made with decent actors. The movie could be described as a 'what if' movie but sadly these incidences have happened in real life. It delves upon the undeducated minds of the public and the trolls of social media crrating something out of nothing with innocent people getting hurt. Society online unfortunately breeds a vast amount of stupidity and uneducatedness. It shows how most people will believe anything AND act upon false information. The inconsistency is of police not acting on relevent information immediately. Then again theres an argument for reality there too I suppose. It opens up the need to seek out the real perpetrators of such incidences ie the ones that start rumours and the ones that act on false information based on nothing. Also the mindsets of most people sadly. Most people following the masses instead of the truth is alas society in the modern era. All in all a pretty decent current movie.

Obvious green screen and bad lighting
27 January 2024
Watched this film on whim on Netflix without knowing too much about it or who starred in it. Pleasantly surprised by the cast. Sandra Bullock has never really been my favourite actor as she always seems to lack and true grit and is always namby pamby in her acting style. Daniel Radcliffe is always brilliant and brings life to this movie. If you can imagine Indiana Jones meets Magnum P. I. meets Murder she wrote then you get th epicture. A nice cameo by Brad Pitt looking as hot as ever adds to the attraction. My main gripe with this movie was the obvious green screening and terrible outdoor studio lighting. It was very obvious sadly and would've expected better editing in that respect. All in all it was an enjoyablr adventure but with probably an expected ending.

Sometimes a bit hard to follow
25 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Following on from the first movie I expected this to be on par with that but alas it did fall short in my opinion. Partly due to the unbelievability factor. Some scenes just seemed to jump straight to the location but we were left wondering how they got there as this was not explained. The rescuing from prison in an apparently covert op saw him literally turn up at the prison (unexplained) hand the guard some money and proceeded to get them out of their cell and 'extract' them. The fight scenes seemed to be pretty constant but again unbelievable. We have one man fighting literally hundreds in hand to hand combat but yet seemingly come off the victor. We have a man that was near paralyzed after being shot and yet within six weeks was fully functioning and able bodied combat fit and ready. Chris Hemsworth fans will love this and for action fans it's a great movie but just be aware that some of the movie doesn't add up.

Terrible acting!!!
28 March 2023
If you're thinking that this Amityville instalment is on par with the previous instalments in this franchise you'll be sadly disappointed. The acting alone is just so amateur. You'd be forgiven for thinking these actors came straight out of a porn movie with the dialogue and acting. It's a shame as the previous movies were made quite well but this is just a rip off on the cheap. The music has been robbed from Halloween also. You just get the impression that a student has been given the green light to make this and they've just got the first actors out of stage school and overlaid it with horror stereotypes. This franchise should be left to the pros. All in all it was a bad decision to make this in it's current format.

Linda Hamilton spoilt it
19 December 2022
Not the best in the franchise. Linda Hamilton, sounding like the devil from the exorcist movie doesn't do the film credit. Trying to be the attitude ridden cool older woman just isn't needed and doesn't work imo. Same old storyline too. It's as if they can't think of a different story to tell. Some decent effects and the newish lead actors are brilliant. Obviously Arnie is an oap now so cgi is needed OORRRR they could've written it differently to incorporate a different actor or character. If you're a fan of the terminator franchise you'll no doubt enjoy this but as I say it's not the best in the series .

Boring and sllllooowwwww
5 October 2022
If you're expecting classic Stephen King then sadly this is not it.

This was 2 hours of drawn out tedious story telling.

There really isn't much to the film.

Donald Sutherland you'd think would've brought something to the film but alas he did not.

The story revolves around Craig, who reads books for a poor eye sighted and demising Donald Sutherland.

Craig gets an iPhone for Christmas and also buys Donald one. They communicate via the phones but Donald dies.

Craig believes he is getting messages from Donald from beyond the grave and that he is responsible for some peoples deaths.

There's no gore, no real basis for this to be a King film.

As I say if you're expecting the usual Stephen King then this will disappoint you.

Inciteful yet predictable
3 October 2022
This series tends to play heavily on the investigating officers emotions. Nearly every one interviewed broke down. Now I'm not saying that this isn't warranted for an officer in a job like this to get affected but it's the fact that jobs like these are not for the feint hearted. It comes across as though they're not cut out to do the job. It's a job that requires a strong stomach and mind. I personally wouldn't say that even the average guy on the street would be this affected in similar circumstances. Just annoying to a degree but that's just me. Others will probably disagree. The actual investigations were inciteful and educating. I see a lot of this kind of stuff so perhaps I'm hardened to it.

gripping and slow at the same time.
22 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This series concentrated on the effects of Dahmer's crimes that affected those in his life. It was quite in-depth and insightful. You'll be able to skip some parts as it's slow in places. If you think you've seen the lead actor you may remember Evan peters as quicksilver in X men. Peters gave a good performance which to my knowledge of Dahmer portrayed him quite well. From what I've read on Dahmer this story seems to keep to the story. Will we ever know why he committed these atrocious acts? Probably not. It also shows how a parents love for a child can still survive such a crime. There is also a side to this series that touches on the 'Is it really the fault of the perpetrator' if there is a problem with the wiring of the brain and should that be taken into consideration when treating such offenders. All in all it was good viewing albeit a bit slow in places. There are some graphic scenes both sexual and gore so be warned but probably necessary to the story.

How did this get past the censors!
8 July 2022
After watching this on Netflix the first thing you tend to question is how it got past the censors due to a 15 year old Kiera knightly doing a topless scene. 1) shame on the director, Kiera and her parents for thinking this was acceptable. The scene wasn't even needed. 2) Why is it not been censored out and 3) How was this not investigated! Weird stuff aside the movie was a bit of a mis mash of scenes with teen celebs in early career roles. Accents were acceptable. It was gripping in places and well filmed etc. The end didn't make too much sense as things would've been sorted differently if the police would've found what the kids found in the hole in the first place ie the recording devices (if they were real) but this was never mentioned at the end. Enjoyable to a degree but just a bit uncomfortable with the knowledge of needless underage nudity.

Not the best
18 April 2022
Very amateur movie sadly. Acting was plastic by unknowns and came across like one of those 80's cardboard soap operas. Audio was a bit off too. For a Netflix movie I'd of expected a bit more professionalism.

Could've been better
11 December 2021
Decent storyline. Decent actors. Filled with flaws. Milla's character was supposed to be a security expert but spent half the film in plain site, unchanged appearance and with a scarred face when supposedly trying to keep a low profile. I think that is what let this down as just wasn't believable on that level.

I'd give it a miss
2 December 2021
From previous Fairbrass films I was expecting a more hardened character. However this lacked any grit as such and just didn't really move along. His character just seemed to lack the hardman in some scenes whereas in other scenes he was the hardman. Just didn't add up. Felt the character could've been more tougher with the crime bosses etc. Story needed more punch. Critical I know but if you're expecting a no holds barred non stop action film then this isn't it.

Give it a miss
29 September 2021
Definitely not the best story telling of Ted Bundy. I honestly thought that it was going to break into a porn movie. It had that kind of acting and actors about it. There were certain scenes that needed exploring more but just seemed to cut off and pick up at a different time. There are better versions of this story out there.

Obvious CGI but brilliantly made movie.
26 September 2021
Great movie. Excellent plot, acting etc. The younger Will was obvious CGI but I guess how else would they do it. It was really good CGI but anyone who plays AAA games would recognise the animated scenes. However that aside it was a really well made movie and would definitely recommend this.

Could've been better
18 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Decently made movie to a degree but a tad slow. That was probably due to the lead John David Washington. He just came across a bit awkward in his mannerisms and dialogue. Alicia Vikander's role was short lived and could probably of still worked had she not died in the film as it wasn't really instrumental to the story. The ending wasn't explained enough and we were left wondering what became of the bad guys etc. I think really Alicia in the lead would've worked better. I know there's a lot of negative reviewing here but that's how it was.

Not Craig Roberts best performance
26 August 2021
Not Craig Roberts best performance in my opinion. Very wooden and stiff acting by him sadly. Just seemed very inexperienced. Otherwise an ok film with some decent acting but could've been more storyline. Ran a bit bland for some of it.

Well made
23 July 2021
I was a bit dubious when I first read that this was German but with a few known American actors in it so I didn't know what to expect. There was obvious dubbed voices for a few actors that I can only assume couldn't speak English. There were Scottish actors too lol so quite a varied array of nations. The story was quite unique and the movie itself was quite well made really. The dubbing and language didn't really interfere though with the movie. Dominique Purcell was a bit underrated in this and a bit out of place possibly (due to the international aspect of who made it) but I assume it was just a project that he was interested in. All in all it had me gripped and I would recommend this movie.

Older actors trying to be teens yawn
11 July 2021
Why do these movies insist on blatantly obvious older actors in their 30's thinking they can pass for teens. It's just ridiculous. Use teen actors. We're not stupid!!!

Crap. Avoid.
9 July 2021
An independent film and not badly made. Good photography and passable acting but it didn't really go anywhere and ended rather flatly sadly. The ending would've been so much better if there was some hardcore action to it. Sadly this didn't deliver.

Absolutely amazing

I can't credit this movie enough. It was amazing from start to finish. Well acted. Well filmed. Based on a true story these actors which to the western world maybe unheard of did an excellent job throughout. Must watch.

The beginning and the end didn't make sense!! Starts with dad trying to kill son which alludes to what's to happen but nowhere in the film is this seen or explained?

Flat. Never picks up.
25 June 2021
Decent concept and storyline but doesn't really pick up. Some needless and awkward nudity from characterized 17 year old schoolgirl (actress is actually 27). Just didn't need it and why? This could've been much better if the main character had more action and drama. Instead it was just flat and plodded along. As for the ending!! What ending!!
