Arrow: The Sin-Eater (2017)
Arrow, 5th TV series, episode 14.
Continuing the theme of vigilante by night, mayor by day, Oliver Queen is still working with the law and his team, now having recruited his third black canary, Queen works with the Star city police, but still under scrutiny. All the while he has been having mental flashbacks from his time in Russia before his days as Arrow, and when he worked with mafia.
Black Sails (2014)
Pirate tv series.
The TV show was made to a specification displaying exact ship and costume details, based on the era of the pirate republic in Bahamas early 18 c.
The cast and crew obviously went to great lengths to replicate the times and those personalities who sailed the Atlantic pirating and warring against British and Spanish fleets. The accuracy of the story is debated, as it is a fictionalized serial; but it offers tremendous accuracy into the time scale, battles and characters of that era.
Vinland Saga (2019)
Vinland saga from Norse expansion
The TV series is adapted from a comic book series written in Japan, it follows an Icelandic boy called Thorfinn who comes of age during the series and is heavily involved in the Danelaw era of the Viking expansion in northern Europe, with the show mostly set in England a millennium ago.
The series has a detailed historical accuracy and has historical figures as main characters, also it actually follows events that occurred in Norse expansion of the north Atlantic. Whilst going into detail of events typical to have happened during the a day and age.
It is a great series to watch to better understand the era and protagonists in the story of north American settlement by Vikings centuries before Columbus, and to further explain how England developed as a country alongside Celtic nations. Then also the show is action packed with a good story about war and royalty and families.
Penny Dreadful (2014)
TV series based on 19th century fiction.
The show assembles an award winning cast with great scenes set in Victorian times all the while they play incredible roles made famous for over a century now.
Based in London UK with a plot from the Wild West USA; the characters are fictional yet famous in their own right and assembled as a greatest hits based drama where fiction is reality erstwhile keeping an original tone in dressage and settings.
Inheritance (2020)
Inheritance; a movie about giving money to those dedicated to ones life.
The movie will pick up a crowd who are looking for a heiress in a magnificent New York estate and all the riches of upper class folk; however the movie comes with intrigue, by really delving into the word and finding a story that is original the movie exposes a dark side of wealth and secrecy. The cast is small but great, although it isn't a cinema movie, Netflix did a good job here.
Outlander (2014)
Outlander, Scottish based period drama with a twist.
The show is based on novels and uses an educated perspective on highland life in the 18th century, the with a shake up where time travel from post world war 2 transports a family between times and then also between Great Britain at its time to the new world east coast America.
The actors, costumes and settings are great. The show really is gripping with dramas and action and a love story where the main characters make the show as great as it is.
Sherlock: A Scandal in Belgravia (2012)
Scandal in Belgravia, to put it simple.
To put it simple, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle continues the series for Sherlock Holmes whereas the BBC never made a movie, this TV series encapsulates the spirit of the novels in the 21st century.
Benedict playing the lead role effectively gives a flawless performance, furthermore the series episode is key to the integrity of the whole drama, being Sherlock meets his female crush; and the episode is played out in magnificent settings all playing a part in the whole story of Mr. Holmes & Dr. Watson.
Hinterland: Penwyllt (2013)
Penwyllt village drama.
The episode centres around a village community in mid Wales where a murder takes place. The episode is actually filmed in South Wales and is a remake of the original Welsh language show which was filmed in dual languages.
As per every episode of Hinterland the show focuses on the local police force acting out duties to solve a murder. The show is set in beautiful a countryside setting but with a specific focus on an former mining area with a quarry and garages and a pub, mystery and intrigue is key as to how the crime was committed and by who.
Vivir sin permiso (2018)
Spanish Netflix TV show.
The show is epic, focusing in on a costal town in Spain taken over by a drug type cartel family who all have their own demons and are becoming their own demise.
The show is thrilling with each episode going over an hour and the characters and filming locations are just right in a beautiful setting; also is a great insight into behind the scenes of illegal drug trades.
Lawrence of Arabia (1962)

A timeless classic movie which has proved doubters for decades has been digitally remastered.
The movie show the real life story of a British military officer who rose the ranks due specially to his ambition in fighting for the cause of the Bedouin tribes against the Ottoman Empire.
The movie is filmed in separate locations, but brings the true character of the era together with great costume, and acting. The film is long at nearing 4 hours, with an intermission halfway in the style of the era the film is based on. Unfortunately the voices are a bit quiet at time during the film, but it doesn't back off the surreal story of the formation of the countries in the region specifically Jordan and Syria.
Lucifer: Spoiler Alert (2020)
Lucifer in action.
Lucifer a demon on earth continues his life with his closest friends and allies working for the Police as a consultant. He defies the laws of nature and is ever present in Los Angeles as a character who has lived since the days of the bible. The episode brings together characters involved in the a serial killer jeopardizing the Police sanctity on the city.
The Fattest Man in Britain (2009)
Jack Taylor unofficial movie.
The story evolves around the true story of heavyweight man Jack Taylor. A miracle man's story of someone who would eat enough for a medium sized family daily; he also used his habits to create fame involving using his home as a seeing gallery for tourists and locals wanting to pay for his time.
The movie epitomizes the real life story with its own cast making a adaptation by changing the names of the people and locations and background story.
Unfortunately the real life character dies of a heart attack one night alone in his home, and this story is a homage to his death as one of the largest person's in history, also it pays respect to his own life as a well loved individual in his own society.
The film was a TV movie for ITV UK, and made a very good first impression to the home audience.
Frontier (2016)
Upper Canada fur trading.
The story that evolves around the Great Britain army pre Canada era attempting to control the upper Canada region north to Quebec, it's also loosely based on a true story.
The factions attempting to control the fur trade are working with native Canadians, in doing so also try fixing societal issues and the monopoly of the British in the region.
The show brings together a star in Jason Momoa as the main protagonist and was a real hit on the Discovery channel, it was picked up to Netflix and is 4 seasons long.

Sense and Sensibility (1995)
Novel come movie.
The novel by Jane Austen is a timeless classic descended generations by coveted book lovers. The movie itself being together a stella English cast and setting in the countryside with excellent costume for the time and era. In terms of romantic movies, it's with an the director Ang Lee that the film goes above and beyond in nailing the movie, it is done by showing the talent of the actors to work to a high standard to recreate a classic story with pride.

Jack Taylor based on the book series is a detective styled show starring a fiery character living in Galway, Ireland.
The tv series incorporates a movie style show with continuity between episodes, but does follow the books closely. It's an exciting show and offers grit and drama with some violent scenes, and an ongoing connection between the lead and an apprentice wannabe private investigator.

The series has progressed and Sherlock and Watson a dynamic duo find themselves out of work trying a new role with the FBI. Sherlock himself has personal problems which are being resolved with his Dad who makes his first appearance in the show Elementary. As for the details of the episode the detectives once again work to a higher standard than most, making them consultants, and are once more breaking down mysteries with ease, this time based on an international spy case boiling over on the streets of NYC, involving a murder investigation from a scientific experimentation heisted by a mystery individual.
