Organize Isler: Sazan Sarmali (2019)
Thoroughly loved it
Kivanc was amazing and soo entertaining as the psycho mafia boss. He was so good, I would break into laughing at his scenes. Yilmaz Erdogan is a natural, hic acting was great. His polished accent was funny also. The scenes with the midget at the end was funny, he ended up saving the day.
Storyline was somewhat cliche but entertaining. People do fall for schemes like this everyday. Things do not go as well as they did in this movie.
On the negative side, there wasn't much time to develop romance between Nazli and Bahadir.
I enjoyed it a lot. Maybe more than the first one. It helped that it was a clean movie. No sex, foul language, or explicit violence.
Fatma (2021)
Forgive us Fatma
An intense drama. Scenes from it played in my head for a while after I finished watching it. Acting by the titular lead is flawless. The plot is definitely plausible, within margins of life. One could be careless with the safe if he is going to a meeting in the next room in his office. Cops might take a person into the police station without taking her through the X-ray if she is not a suspect, esp in Turkey. And gang members, people in general, have a certain level of respect towards conservative women. Maybe the least plausible aspect of the plot is how completely a society can let a person down like that, that won't happen.
Kuzey Yildizi (2019)
Lighthearted good humor
It is a lighthearted show that doesn't take itself too seriously. The storyline is good, the landscape where it was filmed is beautiful. The actors and actresses do a decent job. If you would like a good laugh while watching a lighthearted drama, this is your show.
Menekse ile Halil (2007)
Sad chase story
I watched this show years ago. I say sad story, because it had a sad ending and we don't like these :) The antagonist, Mustafa, had his own reasons for seeking revenge, but still what he was after was not justified. The acting was good.
Bir Baskadir (2020)
Refreshing series
I don't understand the comments calling the series depressing. It was refreshing to me. Every single adult on this earth has his/her problems and regrets without exception. At least in the society in these series, people had support in the form of family and friends (and therapists). People cared for each other and lent a hand to each other. Individualist nonsenses such as "This is my life and I do whatever I want with it", "no unsolicited help" did not take much root in this society yet. And women are doing just great, thank you. They are not left alone in the wilderness to be picked up and used by foreign men. No free sex service, sorry. In the end, all characters did great and moved on to better stages of their lives.
Masumlar Apartmani (2020)
Amazing
What amazes me about this series is that the story does not get stuck as it does in many other series (as of episode 23). Kudos to the script writers for their creativity. The way they build up peoples' backgrounds are remarkable as well. You understand why people behave the way they do over time, your dislike towards certain characters turn into sympathy. Needless to say, acting is flawless.
50M² (2021)
Pretty good
I liked the personality of the male lead. He is a killer with a sense of humor. Interesting to see how he can engage and convince other people. The older duo are really funny. Aybuke is always an eye candy.
It has a different flavor than other turkish series. The holes in the plot are a bit bigger, maybe because it is shorter, so less time to explain stuff.
Overall, it left a nice taste in my mouth. Looking forward to the next season.
