Labyrinth (2012)
Long drawn out dribble
I just finished watching the second episode and I couldn't wait for it to end. How John Hurt put his name to this I do not know. The other actors must've been hard up for work or Kate Moss is personal friends with all of them.
The long, drawn out scenes are reminisce of American TV shows that use this ploy to make a show seem longer than it really is. The public is intelligent enough to fill in the gaps- really. But maybe it was made for American audiences. It's incredibly predictable and looks like they've used left over sets (and actors) from the Merlin TV series. The plastic chain mail is unconvincing but was forgiven in Merlin, which didn't take itself too seriously.
Another component which I found irritating was the editing- extremely bad. The transitions between eras (and some scenes)is clumsy and this seems to be prevalent not only in TV shows these days, but major movies which seem to be rushed and slapped together.
I honestly thought there would be a lot more depth to the plot than there was.
VERY disappointing.

It's crap
I never thought I'd find a movie as bad as Wolf creek. This is it. It's slow, boring, mundane and a waste of good talent.I can't really think of 10 lines to waste on this movie but here goes. The story is choppy and it looks like it was made up as they went.Obviously a very low budget flick that began with a premise of trying to make an artsy fartsie film. It's much more fartsie than artsy. Agreed there is some beautiful scenery but there is absolutely no point to the storyline.you sit there yawning and pushing the fast forward button until you think it might be a good bit but nope...not gonna happen. If you must watch it,then download it because it's not worth buying. Maybe get the blue-ray version and snatch some stills to print out and hang on the wall. That's all it's good for.

I'm Australian but not proud of our movies
Whoever it was that said "What the heck is wrong with you people? " I AGREE 100%. I'm Australian and I'm ashamed of MOST Australian films and TV productions these days. It seems they are tailored to the benign populous who wander around with their heads stuck up their proverbial with no idea of what's going on around them or on the screen in front of them for that matter. Many film critics raved about this piece of crap and I feel that too many people are hesitant to disagree with the Status Quo and maybe appear "Art dumb" It's like standing next to Jackson Pollocks "Blue Poles" at the art gallery and telling everyone how amazing it is when in actual fact, all it is, is a drug induced mess of paint and spew. (yes, spew) Just like this film.
It is horrendously STUPID and mind numbing but would probably appeal to people who drink too much Adelaide tap water.
