Squid Game: The Challenge (2023)
Not for the fans
If you enjoyed The Squid Games you probably won't enjoy this.
It's basically a game show with contestants instead of actors... Or so I thought.
At the beginning we are introduced to some of them and why they think they are going to win, what their goals and inspirations are. Although none of these characters are related to the original series, so none of this matters, it's just a waste of time and the scripts that each of them have to read is a dangerous injection of cringe for your brain.
In short, if you thought this would be fun because you liked the series, think again. Telling you that I couldn't even endure the entire first episode is a complete sleeping pill for me and no one should subject themselves to this torture.
Love, Death & Robots: Ice Age (2019)
Dumb as hell
Let me see if I understand... You find a civilization in your freezer, you become fascinated by its accelerated evolution and one of the first things you think is... Let's go order a pizza... Seriously, don't call the police, no call the local scientists, a professor, not even your own mother, you don't have to order a pizza... The couple in this episode have to be the worst characters and actors I've ever seen, what's the point of using effects specials so good if the actors are going to pretend what is something they see every day? They need to learn to feel the moment, but most importantly, they need some common sense, real people don't act like that.
Trigun Stampede (2023)
Not the Trigun we watched and loved
I'll start by saying that this Trigun is simply a feast for the eyes, the animation and the effects of modern cinema really give a unique atmosphere to each episode, although I can end here with the positive section of the series.
Now, an incredible animation is not the same as a work full of life, in this case it is a product lacking soul if we compare it with the classic series.
All the goofy expressions of our friendly protagonist have been eliminated and everything that made each character stand out too, instead they feel like Mad Max survivors who simply come together thanks to the magic of the script.
The music is something redeemable, it is quite good.
Five Nights at Freddy's (2023)
One of the worst I've seen.
First I must say that I saw the movie together with a friend who is a big fan of the franchise, he liked it and I hated it. The story is one of the most absurd and inconsistent things I have ever seen in my life. Animatronics that come to life because ghosts of kidnapped children take control of the machines, it is the perfect formula for disaster and a bad movie of clichés. To add salt to the wound, the characters are terrible and the animatronics act as if they were in the Barney and his friends show, when they started to build a fort to play in I wanted to destroy my headset and rip out my eyes, the good thing is that I didn't pay to see it. Let's say it was a good touch for my friend, and I'm glad he liked it, but this movie is a mess for anyone who isn't a fan and a very desperate attempt to squeeze the cash cow.
Invincible: It's Been a While (2023)
The series is back!
After several falls this season, the series returned to what makes it interesting, superheroes having to deal with real problems that threaten the world as we know it. Includes family dramas that will of course have you glued to your seat. Honestly, at first I had no faith in an episode that would once again involve Omni-man in a relationship with her son, but it was a pleasant surprise since they did it in a completely shocking way, thus demonstrating feelings of the superhero that had not been expressed. Seen before. And to put the icing on the cake, we had an epic fight where father and son join forces against a real threat, so far the best of the season.
Invincible: A Lesson for Your Next Life (2023)
Invincible meets Rick and Morty
There's not much to say other than it's a pretty weak episode.
After an epic season finale, we are introduced to the multiverses of the series... Don't you think there are already MANY multiverses in the world of entertainment? Let's see...Rick and Morty, Avengers, Sonic, Spider-Man, South Park, Adventure Time, Regular Show, I can go on and on. The big difference is that it works on THOSE shows and not THIS one. The direction of this series indicates that we should care about what happens to planet Earth in the hands of Omni-Man, but this episode only shows us that the series is no longer taking itself seriously, and that any character of any It might actually mean nothing.
The Amazing World of Gumball (2011)
Smart comedy... but also dumb
Gumball is a fun series with an extremely intelligent style of comedy...sometimes, other times the comedy can be the most basic and base that the human brain allows.
I have seen almost all the episodes and although I can recommend many of them, many others are better avoided due to their high level of stupidity.
But being objective, it is a series that I do recommend to the general public if they know which episodes to choose so as not to end up hating the series from the beginning.
Its satire of today's society is simply delicious, it is those clips that you can find on Facebook that make you love the series in its superficiality. In short, it is good fun that you can watch as a family, but if you are somewhat demanding it is better to only watch the highest rated episodes.
Death Note: Desu nôto (2006)
A series that should have ended in chapter 26
Despite the fact that the series is quite good, it is impossible for me to give it a higher rating due to the terrible creative decisions from episode 26 on.
Removing the best character from the equation just leaves us with a bunch of horrible and annoying characters... I had a lot of faith in this anime because everyone has seen it, but it's hard for me to take in the way they ruined the series after L's death.
After that incident, a lot of characters appear that are difficult to get attached to after we finished the best arc of the series.
Then the formula just repeats itself: someone else ends up taking over one of the Death Notes and we meet more unimportant characters just to lengthen the series.
Mulan (2020)
Great and enjoyable movie
Awesome work, acting was on point and every scene is a piece of art
Disney did it again ladies and gentlemen
