The Michaels (2014 TV Movie)
6/10
Somewhat disappointing
29 December 2020
The general story was relatively stupid, the main character is an intelligent lawyer, but for some reason, she believes some fortune teller about her true love. And then she makes every decision in the movie based on that seemingly ridiculous piece of information. It just doesn't seem to be that believable.

At the same time, her co-star's story didn't really go anywhere, and we barely even got to know him, instead, we get to see a lot of unnecessary information about relatively minor roles like the new boyfriend's coworker and her client's, neither of which progressed anything at all.

At the end of the movie, as expected the couple discovers they were there all long for each other, but there was no real journey. In fact, the ending was completely pointless from the perspective of the main characters, she is miserable at work and he got a letter telling him to move on, but no real change for either one.

To conclude, the acting could have been better, but it wasn't terrible, as opposed to the problematic script. I recommend you see this movie only if you are really bored, otherwise, i would pass on this one.

Chateau Christmas (2020 TV Movie)

That's what Hallmark does best

Such a lovely movie, "so simple yet charming" is the best way to describe it.

The story is somewhat different but still very familiar to most Hallmark movies, but that's not a bad thing. The musical aspects of the movie gave it an original direction, something more than the standard event planner or bakery angle.

But the best thing about this movie is without a doubt the actors, Margot (Merritt Patterson) is just unbelievable as always, every one of her lines radiates charm effortlessly, as for her co-star Jackson (Luke Macfarlane) he compliments her perfectly, this is definitely one of his better performances.

Another strong aspect of this movie is the supporting cast, without a doubt one of the better ones i have seen in a while, nothing extraordinary, just plain good acting all around with no exception.

I would strongly recommend seeing this delightful movie.

The Story of Us (2019 TV Movie)

That's what we expect from Hallmark

Not the most original story, but it just works. If you expect an enjoyable movie, you can go no wrong with this one.

The 2 main characters create a nice base for the entire movie, Jamie (Maggie Lawson) delightful as always sets up the tone and Sawyer (Sam Page) compliments her perfectly. Their chemistry is not outstanding, but it just gives us an easy feeling thought the movie.

The rest of the cast compliments the same pleasant atmosphere that gives the viewer a warm feeling without doing too much.

I recommend this one, to anyone who wants a nice movie without expecting a lot.

Love on the Rise (2020 TV Movie)

Not up to Hallmark standards
30 October 2020
The story was predictable but ok, nothing new or original but it still kinda works.

The real problem starts with the acting, aside from the 2 main actors everyone was absolutely unwatchable. Every interaction or line felt so badly performed, it was almost laughable.

The only good thing about the movie was the main characters, Jacob(Brad Benedict) was a stiff but relatively good enough, As for his co-star Victoria(Katrina Norman), she was a true breath of fresh air, the only shining star in the movie. Her charm just bursts out and colors the rest of an otherwise bleak movie. Please let us see more of her, and next time in a movie she can really shine through.
