Brick (2005)
10/10
Best film I have ever seen, My favorite by far to watch.

Warning: Spoilers
"Brick" Is such an amazing film. The plot is a masterpiece especially how it's hard to follow for some parts but it works out because it makes you think. It is not essential that you follow the plot the entire movie because it will let your mind think of what's happening. It is truly amazing how it makes you think which is hard to explain how but once you watch it, it will blow you away. This goes to show that not every film needs to always explain itself and that it can leave some mysteries for the viewer that will leave them not clueless but make them think of what happened next. In Brick "The Pin" really clicked for me. I loved the character how he was so mysterious and always was the classic villain, with his all black outfit and cane it really came out amazing. The way they made his house really helped with the empty room and one desk and how he lived with his sweet mom. Every little thing made his character so mysterious and it really came all together awesome. Specially the car scene with him in the back on a couch and a lamp. All these little things made the film so amazing because its a little cliché and it really worked out. Brick is definitely a film because it makes the viewer think and doesn't just explain itself and give you all the answers. The setting of the high school was fantastic because of how they dressed and the slang. The outfits of this film fit perfectly with stereo types of people in high school. I really liked how they were very stereotypic with the football player and "The Pin's" second man "Tugger" who was the basic big guy with the jeans and white tank top. All of the stereotypes came together well with the high school setting. The character that i really liked was "Tugger". I really liked how he was the classic tough guy and how him and "The Pin" got into a feud and the families fought. "Tuggers" family was a bunch of tough guys in jeans and white tank tops which i really liked because it was funny how they were all watching cartoons when their the big tough guys.

Sunset Blvd. Review by Juan

Warning: Spoilers
Sunset Blvd is an amazing film, with an incredible plot. This film teaches you so much about the influence fame can affect a person. This film has such an impact on the viewer. This film really keeps the viewer wanting to know what happens next. The plot twists are incredible and keeps you intrigued every second of the film. There wasn't a moment where i lost interest or didn't want to keep watching. Sunset Blvd is definitely a film because of the way it teaches you about the film industry back then and how people were treated. This film does a great job on showing how money isn't everything in life because of how William Holden lied to Norma Desmond about his life and who he was and his income. He did all this just for money and was very happy and thought all his problems had gone away but later in the movie he would find himself bored and unhappy even though he was very rich and had no financial problems. He then had an affair and was offered any amount of money but he left without any valuables or money and just wanted to go back to his old job and not be rich but be happy.

The Artist (I) (2011)
9/10
Amazing movie that will leave you without words to explain it's greatness.

"The Artist" is a fantastic movie. It kept having plot twists that just keeps you at the edge of your seat all of the time and you cannot stop watching because you have to know what happens next. The plot of this film is just so intriguing that even if you don't know much about film and its history it makes you interested and gives you a lot of education on film history and how it was when it began and how the actors would change over the years. This film has a great beginning and end. I really like how the end was a great story line, all the ups and downs in the story just changes how you think the ending will turn out. Overall this is a fantastic film and it just keeps you intrigued and teaches you a lot about the film industry and how it changed and how people reacted to the change. Over the years filmmaking and story telling has gone so far since it began and this story is just so fascinating on showing the progression. This film shows how colour and audio came into the film industry and how they wanted to make film more new and upcoming by hiring new actors. This film does such an amazing job on showing how old actors were fired because they just couldn't compete with the new actors. This shows on how they were "Out with the old and in with the new". It's absolutely stunning how they did all this without the audience even needing dialog. Anyone could watch this film and be left speechless without them knowing much or even anything about the film industry.

Chaplin Today: The Kid (2003 TV Movie)
9/10
The kid review by Juan
26 September 2020
The Kid is an incredible film that keeps the audience intrigued. This film no matter the age is humorous and interesting. This is a film I would say is great for the family and very funny. Chaplin did a fantastic job to make this film comedic and with a lot of plot twists which keep the audience keep wanting to watch. This film is still relevant because of the obvious comedy which does not need context and is funny to everyone. Society has changed a lot from 100 years ago where they were more judgmental and less sympathetic to what other people go through. Chaplin's acting adds to the film by adding humor and drama to the film. It is so crucial to the film that i believe the film wouldn't be humorous or as respected famous. The scene with the angels and devils I believe is to show morals of Chaplin of right and wrong and his beliefs. Chaplin showed some of his believes and religious impact of the way he thinks. The star of this film is the kid because his acting is phenomenal and just committed to the roll and really gave the film more reasons of why it did so well and why is still relevant today. Overall this is a great film and really timeless because anyone can enjoy it up to today.

Hugo (2011)
8/10
Hugo review by Juan
26 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Hugo is a film that has a very good plot and theme to the story. The theme of this film is that anyone can achieve their goals if they put their mind to it such as what Hugo did by fixing the automaton which he put his mind to and was determined and succeeded. The film is amazing however there was some parts where the film had gone too long and looses the audience attention but overall is a pretty amazing film. The acting was really good in this film and the kids are extremely talented by their acting specially at such a young age. This is why I gave this movie an 8 out of 10.
