The Winchesters (2022)
It's ok
If you're expecting anything like supernatural then don't watch. It's a passable show, but I find the characters a bit weak. Continuity aside (a few massive clangers) it doesn't have the juxtaposed comedy of Dean with the seriousness of Sam, that I feel this type of programme needs.
I've only watched the first two but not overly impressed. As a stand-alone show it's average at best, but cannot be compared to supernatural in any way other than their names.
Great to see Dean again even he can't save this programme. I don't think there will be a 2nd season, unless it picks up massively, or Dean and Sam appear from the future.
Black Site (2022)
Very poor
This had real promise, and some decent actors, so I was really looking forward to it.
The saying you can't polish a t*rd comes to mind.
The last words of the film were "they won't know what's coming".
Hopefully it's not a sequel.
The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey (2022)
Love this.
Once I got over Samuel L Jackson with hair I got right into this series.
The script is brilliant and is keeping me on the edge of my seat, although I do hate series that start with, what appears to be the end of the series.
Great acting, especially from Mr Jackson and "Bird".
Strongly recommend this show.
Dodger (2022)
Charles Dickens inspired, it's not.
If you are over the age of 10 this is probably not for you.
As you'd expect, the costumes and sets a really good, however, the script and a large proportion of the acting is terrible.
Bel-Air (2022)
Trite
You are always going to struggle, following Will Smith, and the joyous writing of the original.
I didn't think I was going to like it, but gave it a chance.
It was, as I expected a little left wing, but I put up with it, as I quite liked the characters.
Episode 7. The gender bomb started, with its justification politics. Spoilt it for me, so no longer watching.
If you enjoy the preachy side of American programmes, then this is for you. If not, don't watch.
The Wheel of Time (2021)
Dross
I watched with anticipation of "the next game of thrones".
The first episode started slowly and totally ground to a halt after 30-35 minutes. An "action scene for 5 minutes was no redemption.
I gave the second episode a try in case it got better. It didn't, I lasted 20 minutes.
The script is mind numbingly boring and the acting is terrible. There are no redeeming features.
The Sopranos (1999)
Awesome
Just finished watching it for the second time. Witty, gruesome, brilliantly acted. Just as good the second time around, if not better.
If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favour.
Deputy (2020)
Decent.
The rating would have been higher if the left wing agenda, and yet another gender battle were not so front line.
If you can ignore that the actual stories are pretty good. Stephen Dorff is excellent and very believable.
The Green Knight (2021)
I watched it so you don't have to.
Please don't waste your time or money. The most
unbelievable drivel I have ever watched. This is not an exaggeration.
False Positive (2021)
I watched this so you don't have to.
Wow. Truly terrible film.
A disjointed mess, that never really explains itself. Do not watch. You have been warned.
Professor T (2021)
Decent start
Unfortunately, I watched the Belgian one first. Tough act to follow. Not sure they cast the professor very well. There are quirkier actors out there.
Evil (2019)
Interesting, and a bit spooky.
Really enjoying this programme. Great characters, both main and supporting.
It's a bit spooky but Without scaring the **** out of you.
Pretty thought provoking as well.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020)
Boring Tat
Please do not waste your time with this rubbish. The characters are dull, there are no real "baddies". It's got the stereo typical teenager rallying against --- do you know what I've wasted enough time.
