Velma (2023)
Is it really worth 1 star?
YES... 1 star means that it's a thing. I mean a lot of people worked (not very hard) on the project so it deserves at least 1 star. But why only 1 star?
Let's start with visuals, it seems at times that the artists didn't have enough time to make enough frames, this not only resulted in boring or overly generic backdrops but the character animations seem jittery at times.
Audio- the audio quality is weird. It's almost like the characters didn't record their conversations together so the quality between characters in the same scene having the same conversation have 2 different audio qualities to listen to... imagine listening to 2 people talk in a room and one persons voice is unnaturally crystal clear and the other sounds like they have several layers of napkins infront of their mouth.
Characters: it seems like someone wrote a spoof of each character but was allowed to keep the names. It's like using the Venture Brothers characters but releasing the show as "Johnny quest 2023"
Dialogue: this show really needs laugh tracks... because nothing they say/do is remotely funny. I feel like we need an audio queue to know when a joke bombed.
Plot: well the first episode did a great job of assuming you should know what's going on without really going into detail of what is actually happening.
I am glad I survived the first episode, I don't know if I'll make it through the 2nd.
What Is a Woman? (2022)
What a hard question!!
I never would have thought asking "people of science" a question would lead to such anger and disdain. I've seen videos of scientists reacting to "flat earthers" and this is the exact opposite. No attempt to educate or show the science behind what they say! I can't believe this is actually a something that is up for debate.
Everything's Gonna Be All White (2022)
Which is worse, The writing or the acting?
This is one of those shows where you don't know who's to blame... the writers inability to write a coherent conversation -or- the actors ability to deliver. Without going into detail... just skip this.
Santa Inc. (2021)
One of the most offensive shows ever.
Look/listen at all the main characters in the show... then listen to the reindeer. How was this green-lit?
If you look at Seth Rogans movies, look who he chooses as his lead actresses... he's starting to look more like Harvey Weinstein every movie he's in!! Disgusting!!

Eternals (2021)
Not Your Normal Marvel Movie
If you're looking for a BORING superhero movie with no real sense of danger and TO MANY main characters... this is for you!!
You don't need to worry about story or substance because it's written in a way that allows each character to take turns either giving a "1 liner gotcha comment" or setting up the next character to have a quick "1 liner".
Do you want to take a nap? Watch the first 15-20 minutes, and wake up for the last 15 minutes and you'll feel like it was money well spent.
Dune (2021)
This movie is cinema NOT a cookie cutter marvel movie.
This movie isn't filled with lens flare, 1 liners and focuses on a fight scene. It actually requires you to pay attention in order to enjoy it.
This movie, is visually amazing, and the first part in hopefully a series. Of course there is action, but it focuses on telling a story. The story set the pace for modern sci-fi.
Cruella (2021)
All over the place
The movie started out as most Disney princess movies do. Then took a HARD turn into several other movies... as you watch the movie you'll notice the writer Dana Fox was at home with a movie marathon as she wrote this. So as you watch Cruella you'll notice
It starts out as every other Disney princess movie
Turns into
Devil Wears Prada.
Then "Oceans 11"
Then "she's all that" (with no love interest)
Then "the Italian job"
Then ends as a Disney princess movie with a "twist" where she's not a princess, just a baroness.
Don't get me wrong Ema Stone did great... but it wasn't Cruella De Vil... the writers just used the name for a pop reference.
The movie was about an Angry little girl that grows up, gets revenge and takes over. Shortly after the closing credits, she goes crazy enough to start smoking and ends up having her henchmen steal a bunch of puppies in order to skin them and turn them into a coat.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
A must watch!!!!
If you want to witness first hand the complete destruction of a great hero in order to create a film to meet china's stringent requirements.
Ironically, it's not the worst movie out there... but it has so much missed potential to be a "meh" movie... but instead, it's almost as if they had a "blockbuster checklist" in order to film the movie
1) Hot actress with skimpy outfits... check
2) token male sidekick that can't do anything on his own, extra check if he is well established actor ... check check
3)Main actress is a princess that abandoned the crown and wants to do things her own way!... check
4)Bad guy is super rich billionaire that can afford anything and everything he could ever ask for but still wants to destroy the world, with no real explanation... check (although he played the role perfect, it was just badly written)
5) the fight scenes involve hiring highly skilled martial artists and body builders to fight and lose to the untrained main characters, then record it in 4K for everyone to enjoy- check
