The Gray Man (2022)
6 underground meets Bourne Identity meets Civil War
It's not a waste of your time by any means! It was enjoyable but it has been done several times before.
It kinda felt like Captain America: Civil War with the big capitals introducing all the different locations across the globe. A lot of the actors from
the movie make cameos as well.
Loved Ryan Gosling In the role but Evans' character had the most campy dialogue it was cringy at times.
Lightyear (2022)
Sox was the star.
Yikes.
Hard to sit through. It didn't have that Pixar magic.
I feel like the film was geared to adults, but it didn't have any of the toy story magic. I don't think they were true to the buzz character at all. The film tried to be funny but only succeeded when Sox was on the screen.
365 Days: This Day (2022)
Let's be honest - we aren't here for the story line
Was this movie good? No. Was the story line easy to follow? No. Was the acting good? No.
Does this matter? Also no. We aren't here to watch it for any of those things. Watch it for what it is meant to be: a corny, sex filled romp with oddly placed party music and a horrendous script.
White Hot: The Rise & Fall of Abercrombie & Fitch (2022)
Wish it went further
I mean, I don't think anything in this documentary is a surprise but I feel like they just glossed over the sex abuse scandal that they casually mention. I wish it went deeper.
The Pursuit of Love (2021)
Enjoyable
The acting, costumes, set etc were great but there was just something missing. The episodes were beautiful I just wish there was a bit more substance.
Tenet (2020)
Enjoyable - but I have no clue what happened
This movie has the suave of a bond film with a really neat sci-fi element. I truly enjoyed the movie but like 50% of the premise went over my head. I feel kinda dumb that I couldn't grasp it. I enjoyed it but I wish they toned it down a bit. Inverting people is a cool concept, they didn't need to add several inversions of inversions of inversions.
Justice League (2017)
So bad I watched it twice
I had an "edible" and finally gave into the Netflix (you know how Netflix would start playing Justice league as an advertisement when you first logged in?). After Netflix persisting, I thought: "how bad can it be?"
The answer is bad. So bad. It was so bad that the next morning when I woke up sober I thought "no... it couldn't have been that bad". So I then proceeded to watch it sober. I watched justice league twice and I can confirm it was/is terrible.
I wish to one day be as confident as the producer who watched the final product and thought "ahhh yes, it is ready for the world".
Obvious Child (2014)
Jenny Slate is dynamite
This movie started my Jenny slate addiction. This is the role she will always be known for. As a 20-something woman, this film hits all the notes (and feels) about such a sensitive topic. Absolutely loved this film. I laughed, I cried, and I am now Jenny slates biggest fan.
Rebecca (2020)
Skip
I've never seen the Hitchcock original and so I went into this movie very open minded. Was this movie meant to be a psychological thriller? A romance? A murder mystery? Honestly I don't really know. I mean, the set and costume were 10/10 and really made a case for visiting both the English coast and the south of France, but the story was forgettable and disappointing.
If you are distracted by pretty things, you will likely love this movie. If not, you may wish to skip it.
