The Hitcher (2007)
Suspense to the extreme!
You never know just why the Hitcher does what he does.. you're a smart kid, figure it out. You don't know where this cold blooded killer came from, or where he is going.. but you know that when you're in his sights you will never be safe until you're dead. Did you do something wrong? Are you a zealot, a rich brat, holier than thou? Did you do something to get this guy angry? Doesn't matter, cause if he has his way- you'll be just like him.
Great movie, BETTER than the original. Fantastic deleted scenes, loved the behind the scenes shorts that really gave some insight on how good movies are really made. Sean Bean is excellent, taking over Rutger Hauer's original character perfectly. He really has a way of making you gulp over the smallest, innocent gesture- because you know its not small, its everything with the Hitcher. Sophia Bush is okay, the cute girlfriend that steals the show from her whiney boyfriend. Zachary Knighton is forgettable, though whiney just like C. Thomas Howell from the original made him. Neal McDonough is fantastic as the one cop who wants to believe the kids, and knows there is more than meets the eye to this story- he seems to be the only one. Mr. McDonough was just surprisingly excellent. This is the movie to see before any cross country trip!
Patient J (Joker) (2005)
Wow!
I have to say, to date this is the best Fan-type Batman film I've seen. Great acting by Paul Molnar, as the Joker!! Makes you really wish there was more to watch! This has got to be the best Bat in the Sun production, yet. I hope to see more in the near future. There are a few confusing parts, but you instantly forget them as you are swept into a new scene. Would have liked to have more Batman, but the scene between Joker & Batman was honestly... the BEST. I love the filming style, and the writing was excellent, soundtrack was perfect! This really has all the ear-marks of being a major motion picture, Bat in the Sun have exactly what it takes and the ~style~ of this film is what will make them big! Grayson has NOTHING on this film. I've watched all of the other films listed for Bat in the Sun, but honestly I was so excited when I finished watching this that I really wished there were more films. I hadn't heard of Bat in the Sun productions before, but now I'm such a fan of their work. All of the films are well worth the look, though Patient J is the best of all of them (so far!).
