Anna (2022)
Watch the Director's Cut!
Both the cut down version and the much superior 8 episode version are on PrimeVideo.
I made the mistake of starting the 6 episode version and it felt like stuff was missing. After googling, I found out the Director took her name off of the 6 episode stripped down version.
I've watched the first 3 episodes and wow did they cut important scenes out!
This show is a breath of fresh air for me. I've grown weary of Kdramas that are just there for the ML and FL to fall in love by the end of the show.
Bae Suzy is terrific in this show as are all the younger versions of her as well and acting is top notch.
The story is so rich. I'm glad I found out about this version after only watching 2 episodes of the mediocre stripped down version.
The characters are so much better developed with the extra time per episode. I can't wait to binge the rest!!
Tiny Beautiful Things (2023)
Don't understand the time line.
I find this series a muddled mess with some good things sprinkled in every now and again.
Hawn is good, but her character is extremely annoying if that makes sense.
How is she 49 and the actress playing her younger self 33??? If her daughter is 16. She had a child just out of school it looks like? So confused with flashbacks coming at random and plot points never talked about. Heroine addict?
I really wanted to like it. There are certain moments that work but they are just overshadowed by a train-wreck of a person that is so unlikeable it is hard to root for her in any way.
It was an extremely frustrating watch.

Excellent Supernatural Show
I got hooked from episode one. The story was intriguing and each episode started with a short speech about the lore behind what was going on.
Beautiful scenery and good acting as well as good writing sustained the show.
There were a couple of episodes that dragged, imo. Also, the differentiation between "body switching" and that being ok and the shadows creatures being evil made me think a bit. The Shadow Creatures are indeed evil, but the people living eternal lives by taking bodies, continuously, seems morally questionable to me. Not sure if I lost something in the translation. If they were switching bodies to offer protection against the shadow creatures but Nico did it and locked her soul out.
The ending was too abrupt and there needs to be a Season 2.
