Ari is disintegrating, Vince is spiraling
16 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
In what may will be the finest acting Adrian Grenier has done on the series his portrayal of events, battling addiction, battling an unfamiliar territory of insecurity with Sasha is quite compelling. Adrian does a fantastic job of taking us on a ride little by little Vince, losing who he is, we are seeing Vince start to alienate his friends to them lying to Sasha, and most importantly lying to himself. This episode brings us to a heightened sense advance is in real trouble bigger than any we've ever seen him, and a concern for his safety has reached a fever pitch by the end of the episode. Ari who has masterfully navigated every episode of every season, continues his on screen, dominance, battling for everything that he holds, including his company, his dream of owning an NFL team, and most importantly not losing face to the most important person in his life, which is his wife. We see similar to Johnny drama losing out to his anger until finally at the restaurant when it comes to a dreadful explosive turn when Ari confronts Amanda and loses his school his composure, and most importantly, an opportunity to salvage working with the NFL. There is a sense that this may be too broken of a bridge for his wife to cross with him. We see Ari in the state we have never seen him in beyond beyond defeated, and we have a similar sense of worry for him as we do Vince.

A Fun Comic Book Movie
19 November 2023
Poor Marvel fans and critics have gotten so lost in their seriousness that they forgot these movies are based on comic books and meant to be fun. This movie was fun great action sequences especially the bonding scene. We got to see some new places we haven't seen before and a twist on communication we have seen. Kamala warms this movie and steals pretty much every scene she's in. Kamala's family, Nick Fury and Monica are all great roles to keep the movie lite. We get a deeper look into Captain Marvel's character and some backstory we weren't aware of previously (at least from a film perspective). Take yourself, a kid or significant other if you just want a good time out of the house. Leave the seriousness for documentaries or the real world because it's heavy enough out here for all of us.

John Henry
2 July 2023
I feel like John Henry and Nat anchored this episode. John is vulnerable much more than we tend to recall. He watched his lowest die in front of his eyes. He lost his entire planet and thought he lost his daughter. Now he's watching this Lois deal with a life-threatening illness. He mentioned a few episodes ago that it bothered him more than he was willing to allow himself to feel. I think that is very telling for the journey. His character is on, he has faced Bruno more than anyone else, and understands the brutality they are facing. I am reminded of just how brutal Bruno's wife was when she attacked John and Lana. Don't forget Bruno also killed the John Irons of this world. I think the other characters are missing out on this deeper perspective the John sees.

A Father's Love vs Mortality
11 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
There was a moment in Episode 8 that really hit me in the heart. As a father the tears of your daughter crying out for your help Will literally make you fight off death. When the doors opened it was a deeply emotional moment and powerful expression of love. No matter what our children do we will love them and try to protect them until our last breath. It was a combination of his greatly deteriorating health when we see him at the beginning of the episode. The masterful performance by Considine of the constant pain both emotional and physical. The realization of a final desperate attempt to make his mark on his family was fantastically captured.

Great Acting, Yet a Middling Final Presentation
9 October 2022
It's odd even as I write this. The concept is strong and based on true events, the overall story is intriguing and the acting superb. Yet... the pacing or maybe the editing just takes away pockets of momentum. I so desperately wonder if the greatness is missing integral parts that ended up on the cutting room. Imagine iconic movie moments cut differently like Jack Nicholson's "here's Johnny" said from behind the closed door or him saying "I'm here." I feel like that with this movie. As if we just missed amazing powerful moments. Still it's enjoyable and I will watch again at a later date through HBO Max, Netflix or Amazon Prime.

It's A Movie, Not History Channel
17 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The cultural reference of the Dahomey May not be accurately representative of their culture however, r this film is meant for entertainment. The performances a passionate and support the overall storyline faithfully. The main cast shine in their respective roles. Viola Davis is powerful as leader, Lashana Lynch is inspiring as a commander and role model. John Boyega is measured in his best performance. Thuso Mbedu digs deep into the complexities of her character masterfully. Sheila Atim is what a right hand warrior is all about. I've been following Shaina West's rise as an action star and she did not disappoint (Love her). I'll happily use multiple A-List rewards to see this again. The film has a strong storyline and solid character development.

Go Jordan
6 August 2022
I'm really loving Jordan's character development. Like many young people he can do so much more than he realizes but the fear of failing holds him back. He does however, when those he loves are in peril shed the fear and his love pushes him through. Great subplot with he and Sarah as well. Also, Nat and John have great father daughter chemistry. One of my favorite episodes yet.

Cringe Fest

This was just utterly terrible. The storyline had one goal and tossed out any possibility of evolving or trying to showcase any creative effort. I only kept watching with the hope it would somehow get better.... It didn't only worse.

Turn off the rational part of your brain
7 March 2022
I really enjoyed most of the action. I don't mind oh snap action moments. I don't mind wait a minute stunts. But if there are no superpowers, supernatural or magic involved then don't go too much further than the submarine. Welp! I almost could've bought the magnets with guns and jewelry. But then it got literally dialed up past the ridiculous (looked cool as heck though). Brothers would've been more believable with Dom and Hobbs (I'll leave it at that). I did however believe Mr. Nobody could pull off the stunt proposed. Unanswered question "how long has Giselle been deceased?" My biggest gripe was the most disrespectful stunt with two brothers from the hood SMH! All that said the movie was still fun and I enjoyed it at the movies with my kids. Two requests for the last one. Please let Tej and Ramses get together and bring back Hobbs and Shaw!

Mages, Rebels and Swords Oh My!
18 September 2021
Good fun, people take themselves too serious for an action semi period piece. A modern take on the Arthur story was great fun and I've watched 3 times!

It's The Chemistry and Growth
13 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The evolution of Riggs and Murtaugh continues to pay high dividends in this film. Murtaugh battles so many issues in each movie but this one saw him dealing with true remorse for his actions in an impossible situation. It plays so well in juxtaposition to the first movie in how Riggs was originally on the edge and Murtaugh's stability and compassion lead him to a better place. Now it is Murtaugh on the edge and the more refined Riggs returns the favor to hold up his only friend in his personally darkest hour

Lethal Weapon 3 gives a new character to the team Lorna who is Riggs match in many ways. One of the great things about Lorna's addition to the story is how similar she is to Riggs but with a more level head. In addition this movie truly gives a peak into the biggest hole in Riggs life which is family. Having lost out on love twice he finally meets a woman who is badass enough to not only protect herself but him as well. Something he never knew he needed.

Leo's continued evolution as the irritant who just wants to fit in is well played. Leo provides great laughs and represents the audience in a way. We too would love to be able to hang with these guys and be considered family.

Well done movie with a solid mix of action, romance, danger, sadness, hope and laughs.

Darker than Expected and Good
19 April 2021
This was dark and those kids are in over their heads. I really like the development of the characters over the 7 episodes. In the real world kids grow up quick. The last two episodes really kicked things way up and I'm eagerly anticipating season 2.

Nice for Kids
4 April 2021
I remember watching this as a kid. Wasn't the Star Wars I expected but a nice story with the Ewoks. Watching it now in 2021 I notice how the boy favors Luke Skywalker. Seems like a smart casting decision at the time. The main theme sounds like an interpolation of the Star Trek theme.

This is decent. People just like to hate Jaden.
4 December 2020
This was a decent romantic young people movie. I've seen both better and worse. People just hate Jaden for the most ridiculous reasons. It debuted on Prime it's not like you had to buy a ticket. Jaden is okay in his scenes. However, he brings heavy emotion quite well. I wouldn't have bought a ticket for this but I'm okay with it being in the Prime library. The more experienced actors did very well. I do respect the acceptance without making it preachy. If you watch it you'll know. Overall, it's a decent romance movie. Watch appreciate life a bit, respect folks fighting for their lives and folks whose lives were ended too soon.
