Coyote Ugly (2000)
Well done!
This was a very good coming-of-age movie. Piper is a very good actress, and she really lit up the stage. I love Maria Bello from ER, and it was good to see her still into the groove. A wonderful cast made this movie great.
North and South, Book II (1986)
Another wonderful plot from John Jakes!
Well, what can I say about the sequal to the best Civil War movie ever made. The same cast was there including a few new ones, and I happy to see old Bent get his in the end, and Ashton too. Although Bent did come back in the third movie. What was that about? This movie depicted a very accurate account of the events during the Civil War and shortly afterward. If you have seen the first movie, and then watch the second. It is not disappointing. Patrick Swayze and James Ried are at their absolute best. The cast and crew pulled off a second hit!
North and South (1985)
An action packed, emotion-filled, wonderful movie.
This was the one movie to see about the Civi War. My aunt actually played in this movie as an extra in the Justin and Madeline wedding scene, and my uncle was an extra on a horse. The script was genuine, and accurate. The costumes were tastefully done, the seqence was in order and even the accents were good. I dearly love Patrick Swayze and James Ried. They were the best 2 choices, and it even had a great supporting cast. The Civil War is my favorite thing in American History, and I love movies about it. I have seen quite a few, and this movie and it's sequal North and South Book 2 took the cake. If you haven't seen it, rent it. As soon as possible. It's quite an eduation.
The Green Mile (1999)
Stephen King has done it again.
This was a wonderful movie. I read the books, and hoped that they would make a movie based on them. It was really nice to see a good book come to life like that. Tom Hanks and Micheal Clark Duncan made this movie what it turned out to be. Stephen King is a really talented writer, and I look forward to seeing more to come in the future.
The Deep End of the Ocean (1999)
Emotion at it's best!
This movie was wonderfully played, and I recommend that anyone who loves a good movie to watch this one. Michelle Pfeiffer was at her best. Treat Williams gives an emotion-filled performance. And Jonathon Jackson was a wonderful supporting actor. This is the movie to see.
Armageddon (1998)
This was the best sci-fi thriller I've ever seen!
This is a movie of great interest, especially because this is not a subject that is entirely impossible. In fact, just the opposite. The possibility of a rock the size of Texas hitting the Earth is very real. This movie was very well made, and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck give stellar performances, and Liv Tyler really shows her acting abilities are very strong. The writers and actors of this movie deserve two thumbs up for making this the movie of 1998!
In a Child's Name (1991)
This is the best true story movie I have ever seen.
This movie is heartwarming and a real tearjerker. I have a copy of it on tape, and I watch it all the time. I never get tired of watching the Taylor's get what they deserved. I really enjoyed watching it over and over again.
