The Married Woman (2021)
Motivation, Self Discovery, Freedom, and Self Love
This is not just a lesbian love story. It catches lots of issues about modern world and narrow thinking of old generational hindu people. I love how they showcased love between a muslim and hindu. It was very beautifully done.
Both actresses did a phenomenal job. Riddhi did a mindblowing job by creating a character who's yet to discover herself, shy, and lonely. Meanwhile, Monica also did a fabulous job. She was flirty, and protective. Both had amazing chemistry. I wish if they were a couple irl lol(jk).
About story, it was motivational. Astha's character is all about gaining freedom. I think the series is not a love story. It may be a story about self discovery and freedom. This series was created for women's day so I guess my assumptions might be right. Astha is a character who doesn't have freedom while Monica is someone, who has freedom and does things whatever she wants, not caring about the world. Both have different personality. Monica taught Astha things about freedom and helped her to live and talk back to people for things she cares about.
The cinemagraphy was fine overall. The music was very catchy and soothing to the series. I just don't like one thing about this series and it's, its ending. They literally destroyed Peeplika's character just to end the show. I think she was an amazing and inspirational character overall. But when she made a decision in Astha's life to gain her fastly, that didn't seem approciate and fitting to her character. Imo the ending didn't fit the show. If the show is all about freedom and women's rights and then why ruin a character who taught someone about freedom and self love? I feel sorry for Peeplika's character to have been destroyed. About Astha, I wish if she had choosen her 'happiness and freedom' instead of her narrow minded family.
But despite the salty ending, I'm hoping for a S2 where both Astha and Peeplika are together, forever. Seriously, they've such an amazing chemistry. I hope they'll do more series in future together.
Imagine Me & You (2005)

I Can't Think Straight (2008)

Both of the actresses were amazing. It felt as if they were really in love with each other! Plot was simple ans educational. Definitely a movie to watch on holidays or to fresh your mind.
Fire (1996)
One of the best lesbian themed Indian/Asian movie
This is one of the best lesbian themed indian/asian movie. The movie has succeeded to show some of the social problems of narrow minded society and many more. The movie is not only about lesbians. Interesting movie with great actresses. Both did an amazing job.
Call Me by Your Name (2017)
Boring, Overrated and wrong in so many levels
The plot is very boring. The age gap is very disgusting. The movie isn't as good as most people claim. Definitely an 'overrated' movie with an odd and disgusting relationship between an adult and a 17 y/o boy. Please don't waste your time watching this nonsense crap.
Kanojo (2021)
Beautiful
Finally, I watched this movie. I haven't read 'Gunjou' yet but I did hear about its depressing tones. I was expecting more darker scenes but gladly the movie wasn't that depressing.
The movie is very beautiful. Both actresses did a phenomenal job. I also liked the actresses who played the young leads. They were also very beautiful and talented. Both main leads have lowkey toxic relationship. But despite that, I still loved them seeing together. They make a good chemistry together. Cinemagraphy was also very beautiful. I loved the plot too. It's very rare for us to get such kind of different thriller crimed lesbian based movies these years so I'm thankful for the crew who decided to make this movie. Also, this movie isn't for everyone. Don't watch this movie if you're expecting some bubbly cliche lesbian romance. This movie has thriller, suspense, high nudity, graphics, etc. I also suggest you not to watch it in front of your parents.
There's 1 thing that I didn't like about the movie. Some camera shots were repititive which made me feel out of plot and bored sometimes. Otherwise, it's a great movie. I suggest everyone to watch it. The ending is also absolutely beautiful and it made sense to the plot.
Teenage Bounty Hunters (2020)
Has sense of humour, talks about some serious issues, great wlw represensation
I love this series. The trailer did it dirty. It's better than I had expected. Also, wlw couple April and Sterlin makes the show more great. Their chemistry is mindblowing. I love Sterlin's character. And I hope they renew it and make a season 2 because honestly it deserves it!
Ah-ga-ssi (2016)
Breathetaking
The plot is catchy. It has many plot twists and it'll make the story more interesting and captivating. Simple beautiful!
Carol (2015)
Magnificent, beautiful, masterpiece
OMY GOSH! OMY GOSH!!!
I've no words. I had been avoiding this movie for a long time and now I completely regret watching it after 5 years of its release. I didn't expect the movie to be so beautiful. I was moved by it. I thought it would be a typical cliche love story but oh boi did I know I was wrong. Everything is so beautiful about this movie. Cate and Ronnie have good chemisty together. The tunnel scene was one of the best scene in the whole movie. Their love making scenes were absolutely breathe taking. I could feel their desire and love for each other. This is one of the best love story I have ever watched beside Portrait of Lady on Fire. We need more movies like this!
Portrait de la jeune fille en feu (2019)
A masterpiece
I wasn't expecting it to be that good. Everything from starting to end is just PERFECT, too perfect, magnificent. This is a perfect example of true love. Not every love story have to end in happy way. I couldn't hold my tears at the ending scene. This is the type of movie which is going to stuck in your head even after years and years. Their love story is bitter yet sweet. This makes me want to fall in love with someone. The more you keep watching it, the more it'll feel as if time is running very slow. The 18+ scenes were also very beautiful and subtle. I'll definitely watch it again.
