Nice production, good cast, muddled plot. I wish we didn't keep getting completely stupid characters in this type pf drama. The daughter in this is a brainless, pointless numbskull. It's as if scriptwriters feel that a prat is needed to give a production credibility. Why? The strong cast work hard to make this work - just about. It's easy, lightweight viewing. That's all I can say, really. Don't fret too much if you miss it when walking the dog.

The Drowning

Ridiculous first episode

Yet another TV drama that disappoints. People just do not behave like this in the real world, and as for for being able to wander in and around a school with no identification, without being challenged, that's just stupid. Alarm bells should have been ringing the moment she attended the job interview, but the headmaster was obviously a total numbskull. Then she creeps out a child's Dad and nothing is said. Get real, please.

Truly Awful

A good cast struggling with a preposterous script. The title character, played by the great Keeley Hawes, is totally unbelievable. Nobody does EVERYTHING wrong. The other characters aren't much better. I think that ITV were scratching around for something to screen during Covid lockdown and found this in an old Primark bag, propping open the door to the wheelie bin cupboard. I hope the actors were paid, because they must have suffered making this nonsense.
