Your Highness (2011)
Not really a "stoner comedy" but not too bad
It's kind of a parody of medieval adventure movies, in which Rasmus Hardiker parodies Simon Helberg in The Big Bang Theory and Danny McBride parodies Matt Berry in basically everything, and there's this "edgy twist" where Natalie Portman as a woman warrior basically ends up saving all the men. Some good moments and some big groaners.
The Saint: Sophia (1964)
Starring Oliver Reed as John Travolta
Seriously, the resemblance is uncanny...even with an American gangster accent!
Apart from that, this is a very satisfying story line, very believable, and on top of all that...directed by Roger Moore himself! A must see for Saint fans.
Eureka: Here Come the Suns (2008)
Perhaps Alan Moore should get partial writing credit?
"Tomorrow Stories #1"...is the place.
"Jack B. Quick"...is the character.
"Smalltown Stardom"...is the title.
No further details provided to avoid being tagged as a "spoiler"...but this story is from 1999, which way predates the Eureka episode.
And yes, it's a comic book, but so was Batman and Watchmen and V For Vendetta.
And no, it's not a perfect plot match, because Alan Moore didn't invent Eureka, but when I (just) read this particular story, this Eureka episode was the first thing I thought of. Why, it hit me like a ton of bricks!
