Confusing storyline.....
30 September 2023
Where do I begin?

The movie has a storyline that is like getting lost in a maze. The actors do a pretty good job considering the craziness of the script. As a whole the movies is "sappy", whiney, excessive emotion and crying. Then the monetizing of the music. By playing the same song over and over in every episode. The confusion in the story is almost impossible to comprehend. The settings are well done and acting scenes as well. It had potential but got lost in the tug of war of the story most the K dramas have more depth in the story. It's really hard to recommend this movie for anyone. Take a pass.

Where do I begin.......
21 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The story was like a real life election here in the US with endless dirty scandals, lying and all the things that go with on with political campaigns. The downside is the excessive emotionalism, whining, crying and self righteous pompous exclamations. Then there is the "Iam going the kill you" repeated have a dozen times always following endless empty threats. They take you all the way down for episodes and then up for 5 minutes. You you don't have time to enjoy the upside because they continually want to take you emotionally down down down. Wasted emotion throughout it just gets weary some after so many episodes of the same without the proper sustain ned revenge.

Where do I begin?......
14 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The main actress thinks she is smarter than everyone else and deserves and has a the right to be a tv personality. Thinking herself to be wise but is instead incredibly stupid and ends up in involving her whole family in illegal activities. The writers justify because of their background they had no choice but to turn to crime. Same old victimization and while doing it, although she is a cement nal try to show that the cops are in redibly stupid and incompetent. At a point in the story you actually hope she gets it just due tomorrow her pure arrogance and of course the boyfriend loves her, but she blames her circumstances on him as to her reduced position. A lot of excessive yelling and whining. Surprisingly some of the a ting is s quite good.

To be or not to be
9 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The series had such huge potential and could have been a 10 rating. As most the other reviews said this is not the Perry Mason of old this is an entire new series that should have been named something else. The acting was quite excellent and the scenes disturbingly realistic. Perry Mason himself as the character had many conflicts that didn't sync up. How could a war veteran who killed the enemy could beat up half a dozen times and look like a coward? I think this was the most disturbing part you want him to be a hero but he's such a down and out loser he never really is. He doesn't have to be Clint Eastwood or but he does have to have some physical wherewithal about him. If the backdrop is a war hero. Some of the story was quite excellent but the contradictions in the plot sometimes flat out didn't make sense I just weren't logical. And the character they call Della Street as gay it's definitely not Perry Mason of it's definitely not Perry Mason of old.

To real for comfort... Nerve-racking storyline
5 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The storyline is very real and reminds us of what is going on with the Mexican cartels and the border. As Americans were insulated but the poor people on the border that live in Mexico and the United States are the ones who suffer from this. Emily Blunt would not have been my choices leading actress she's a good actress but she's not an action actress and this role really called for an action actress. The rest of the acting was 10, everyone fitting their role perfectly. The action scenes of Mexico and Arizona where iauthentic as they get and the action was nerve-racking which made it so exciting. Absolutely worth the watch.

Here we go again and again and again.....
22 February 2023
A story with huge potential but..the same issue with many Korean movies..repetition. The story could have been easily done in 12 episodes, but rambled and bordered stupid along the way to 16 episodes. Then the acting which has some vreat moments while the main a tir could only stare like she couldn't remember her lines and failed to speak. So to show emotion, they act like they are unable to put words together. Ridiculous. Such a waste when the scenes, filming ,nothing are top quality. The idea of there being no such thing as private lives is quite awakening in the light of businesses turnimg into scams. Makes you wonder if this is where the US is heading.

30 very long episodes.....
12 February 2023
The series reminds me of the Korean dramas that should be finished in 10 or 12 episodes but extend to thirty. The storyline is decent but then it has parts that are so predictable like the ending. You watch 30 episodes and then on the ending it's "air". The actors are very talented and did a good job with all their parts. The actors dress beautifully and the Lebanon scenery is amazing as well as the scene depictions. It does show the complex society at the current time at 11:00 on where the rich have everything and the poor are very poor all at the same vices that are everywhere. It's a shame because it did have potential.

Lebanese beauty ....story and actors...
5 February 2023
As American to me to Lebanon several times, it one can't help but be struck by the beauty of it's people and love of life, in spite of the circumstances. This is true-life story of the wealthy, the poor, the governmental problems and Lebanese people's hope of getting me the most out of life in spite if it's corrupt government. The two seasons are about two girls that grow up as strong women trying to out live their desperate origins. The story demonstrates how difficult it is to simply earn a living and provide for their families and the corrupt who do anything to rise above the property. Acting, clothing and scenes are masterful. A little redundant in parts but overall a winner with actors who could give the Americans lessons.

Where do I begin.......a series of pity-parties!
9 January 2023
This is probably the worst most consulted Korean series that I have ever seen. Constant whining, high pitched voices, excessive crying are characteristic of the series. The story could have had potential, but the acting is just so poor, I had to finish the series just to see if it could get better, no it only got worse. The affluent are characterized as self serving opportunistic predators and the poor girls upbringing as a justification for their constant strving and having pity-parties making the wealthy appear "all" bad. The constant pettiness of the poor downtrodden makes the viewer dislike their sheer stupidity and lack of drive to overcome. Woe is me!

The Best of Korean ....
12 December 2022
This is a beautiful story with beautiful people great actors great scenery different locations than usual storyline just excellent. Is it American watch in Korean movies the problem with most has been the repetition of scenes throughout a series. In most cases the Korean series should be 12 instead of 16. And then when you get to the 16th it's unfulfilling. This series storyline is so unusual and the filming is excellent with beautiful locations and many of them so you're not just in one spot or a few buildings throughout the entire series you're at a large number of different locations. The photography includes birds and animals of the regions beautiful mountains and sky the love of food and friendship. Just a great love story with no politics forced on your throat and forget about it being Korean it's just a great movie series and enjoyable and light-hearted.

Where do I begin....
10 December 2022
The hypocrisy is so off the charts even a non royal individual can throw up over it. Let's start with Meghan. She appears on Deal or No Deal and says she was exploited and yet she will cash the check. She will take the financial benefits of royalty and not only ridicule but mock the monarchy. As one British religious leader indicated,"She thinks it's ridiculous to bow to the Queen, but has no problem being bowed to". Her disrespect for the monarchy and by the way makes her husband look exactly as bad as we all thought he was. The Queen became his mother after his own dies but how short a spoiled couple are. They epitomize spoiled, never really worked , ungrateful couple. Don't bother, it's infuriating.

Huge potential
16 November 2022
The story is fascinating with various locations, beautiful filming and top notch story. The main female lead however; is the weak point in the series. No matter how serious the scene, she seems to be smiling. Really harmful to the geat job by the rest of the acting crew. The sound affects ar excellent with no music monetization point on which is quite common in Korean series. The stars in Korean series are always young which is to make them marketable. They have not figured out seasoned older actors are just as interesting and more real to life. The series avoided the other corny luv that is common in other Korean series. Good series over all.

Oppressively dark.....
13 November 2022
No question this is an an unusual and cringe-worthy story. It's very depressing to think that some of the opinions of wealthy people is so hated and completely ignorsnt of those who built true legitimate wealth and then are at risk by the type of nutjuobs depicted in the drama. The actors did a very good job and the filmaking good as well. It makes one wonder how widespread is this type type of class jealousy. The main criminal is a far off the charts narcissist and social deviate which is so evil it makes it hard time sleep es especially when it's based on a true story. Wonder why too they put it off as a is a Mexican drama when ithe Pacheco family was actually in Argentina?

Another great Korean series but consistent issues...
10 November 2022
The series has a great storyline with beautiful actors great filming and intense drama. I'm an American who likes Korean movies because of the beauty and the artfulness of the dramas. No different in this one, unique and different storyline with attractive actors good action and some humor. What I'm finding with Korean dramas are they are typically repeat episodes after episode 12. They bring you back the scenes that you've already seen earlier to remind you of what happened previously although you don't really need it. It's also humorous that instead of a kiss in a movie they play music so they monetize the music and use the same songs throughout all 16 episodes and it's not just this series but others. They don't have to be 16 episodes and you don't need to hear a song repeatedly to enjoy the series I wish the producers of Korean movies would get this.

Great Korean series ..
13 October 2022
This is an excellent Korean film with superb filming, beautiful locations. The series as in most Korean films include too many episodes to keep complete following logically. There is also overacting at all of the emotional parts and just packed with excessive sentimentality. A US audience will have trouble taking the emotional side that is frequently on display. Excluding the excessive sentimentality the plot was exciting and it drew in your interest. The actors are are such that you can relate to them in a very real way. It also did have it's exciting moments to keep it from feeling love kena soap opera. Overall a good series and worth the watch.

Emotionally affecting....
27 September 2022
This is an extraordinary drama with the actors doing their job at the highest level. Abigail Spencer, J Smith-Cameron, Aden Young and even the supporting actors all amazing with JD Evermore in particular as Sheriff. The subject matter is dark and off-putting as something you may not view because of the serious and dark nature the first two season; which at certain points wants you to hurt someone just because of the injustice. This carries on till the last two seasons when daylight begins to appear and the good guys start to win. It really is a wonderful and thought provoking series, not for light entertainment but for real drama, its there.

Good start ......but redundant...
21 September 2022
This drama, this one for the first 12 episodes we're excellent, the last 6 episodes we're redundant and tiring. The actors are flawless in their character acting and beautifully done with across the board. The clothing as well as photography is beautiful. The Korean culture is still about saving face and it's in full display during the program. So far so good but then we get to the storyline. It became redundant repeats of the same scenes over trying to get to the almost predictable end. Then there is the twisted modernization view of religion. Just doesn't fly for those who know better. Should have been 12 episodes instead of 16.

Brit drama worth your time...
14 September 2022
The Brit actors are quite good and believable in their roles. The story goes down as expected as to who the Liar is, but it turns out just about everybody is a Liar thus the name for the film. The twists and turns along the way make it interesting. The filming is quite good with various scene locations near the water. It is a common theme of victimizing the victim and there is more concern about the guilty than all the people who can be hurt in a crime indirectly who care. We often forget about the stress and anxiety it puts on everyone in the vicinity. Modernn theme with modern script and acting. Worth a watch.

Fabulous period piece...
11 September 2022
This is the big and great surprise. It is a cold war story that can be really appreciated in today's world. It was the beginning of the Russia vs England/ Russia spyworld. Everything from the dressing of the characters to the locations used , the accents of the actors all cery skillfully done. It takes intelligence to be patient to understand the history of the time and the accuracy of the cold war environment. The intrique is similar to the modern day Bourne movies ,but more plot and less action. It is so Brit with all it's formality and so reminiscent of simpler but stilll very dangerous times. If your looking for a tion, no, but if your looking for plot and intrique. It's a winner.

A real surprise!
10 September 2022
The S Korea culture is capitalism on steroids This not only has a great story which is modern and unique but excellent acting and beautiful surrounding and filming. S Korea is ultra modern ,clean and beautiful. This matches perfectly with the people in the show who are very attractive, witty and smart. It all surrounds around "fixed" marriage according to class status. This of course is a conflict between love and business. Then you add cultural mores, politics, family and you get you get this amazing mix of what is life. The main female character was a little off from a character standpoint, but one must think perhaps it was cultural? Overall a high grade series worth the watch and can match up to most American movies.

Great potential but came short ....
8 September 2022
The story line had huge potential and the acting was barely average but there are parts that were just too predictable and sappy. It could have been very intense based upon the theme of extortion and the fact this type of situation could happen would build a very intense drama , but they made it more soap opera style than a real drama. Potential was huge, but result fell short. One could imagine a character like Michael Douglas or Stallone, or how about Banderas? They could have really made it an interesting and frightening suspenseful story. The photography was well done but wasted on the overall effort. Was it worth the watch? Maybe.

Could have been fun.....
5 September 2022
Out side of a few humorous lines and some highlights of acting you have a political agenda that runs throughout the storyline. The actors and characters we're fun at times and other times downright depressing and oppressive. Movies are to escape ,relax and be entertained. If I wanted to watch more opinated news stories I would just turn on one of the propoganda news channels and let them continually wash their opinions all over me hour after hour. Why are the writers finding it necessary to be our moral conscience instead of entertaining ning us which is really what they are paid to do or just go to work for news.

Dark and stressful...
25 June 2022
Acting was excellent as expected from Caranado, but...the story left you empty and a feeling of dissatisfaction, on other words redeeming quality. The character as written is a passive agressive powerless ass. How can you admire the actor and hate the character? It's not the acting it's the storyline.

Surprising edgy and funny not what you expect
10 June 2022
A funny, serious saitre. The movies is full of unexpectations which is what gave it's humor and edge. Rapace is in perfect form and supporting actors were right on with their roles.

So different and not the usual normal predictable plot which made it so much fun. Not for the squeamish of heart, but a real diversion from the norm.
