Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part V (2022)
This is what we waited for.
Part V is exactly what the title implies. It's what we waited for, the episode brings back Kenobi almost to what we knew in the prequels while also giving the emotional character moments we needed.
SPOILERS AHEAD...
This is the first episode to contain full flashbacks giving us a better look at reva's backstory and showing meaningful moments in Kenobi/Anakind history, despite some ineffective de-aging on Hayden Christensen they were very well executed linking into the story at the same time.
Also Vader was no joke in this episode with the improvements since the late 70s early 80s they can really show of Vader at full potential and he is nothing short of terrifying.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part II (2022)
A very solid second episode
The second episode clocks in at just under 35 minutes (excluding credits) and in that time it progresses further in the story set up in episode one looking to possibly wrap it up in the next episode. It's only focus is on that story and nothing else takes place besides moving it forward. The child acting is pretty good and the 2 main leads have entertaining chemistry together. The ending of the episode left me wanting more. Not just in I wanted more episodes but that I wished more had happened. In the just over an hour of combined run time of the first two episodes not much happened at all besides the small story arc and setting up a very intriguing character return. It's enjoyable to see an out of touch obi-wan try and return to his roots one last (but not really) time. Ewan perfectly slips back into the role like he never left.
Overall a small bit lacklustre looking back but really enjoyable in the moment despite leaving you in a "is that it" state. 9/10 massive grin for the whole two episodes.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part I (2022)
A fantastic return
The long awaited return of Ewan Macgregor's titular character is here. And he's not messing around. The opening episode runs for about 48 minutes (excluding credits) and effectively revisits the past as a recap while also filling in the gap between this show and Revenge Of The Sith. The episode sets up and interesting premise that is looking to last a few episodes or more. The characters feel the same as they did in 2005 while also including subtle nods to what comes later in the timeline. A very intriguing first episode that excites me to see the rest.
Music Box: Juice WRLD: Into The Abyss (2021)
Rollercoaster
This doc goes in depth into the behind the scenes of the late rapper "Juice WRLD"
It shows all aspects of his life from music to the drug use often a heavy theme in his music. Shows a lot of moments right up until he dies and can be quite distressing to fans of the late artist.
Free Guy (2021)
Better than expected
Free guy was made to be a goofy fun movie for people who love and enjoy games and movies. And it does that perfectly. This movie has well timed comedy with a outstanding cast. Give it a watch and if you don't like it that's fair but everyone should give it a shot.
Lucifer (2016)
An semi-unbiased review
Personally I am not the biggest fan of lucifer. I watched the first 3 seasons and then dropped out. But note I am not calling it bad. The performances specifically from Tom Ellis and Lauren German are particularly memorable. This show is great it's just not for me.
