Die Säge des Todes (1981)
Worst Giallo movie
A painful watch from start to end, forgettable characters, extremely boring and unoriginal "pLoT tWiSt" and predictable killers, christ, that's an hour and a half I'm never getting back. I feel bad for the real life snake that was killed on the set for the movie just so it could be featured in whatever tf this film is
I cannot stress enough how boring this movie truly is, the ending was absolute dog and like I said, completely unoriginal, just like the killer's motive which had already been done multiple times throughout history on the big screen in other horror films, giallo's and other slashers, etc. Please just do me a favour and don't waste your time on this sh**, there are plenty of incredible Giallo masterpieces out of there such as the cat o'nine tails and knife of Ice, so please make sure you watch one of them if you're looking for a genuinely good Giallo movie instead of this.
Trauma (1993)
Argento's best movie
Not only was I blown away by the story but also by the insane twists at the end, I genuinely didn't see that coming, wow. I dived blindly into this film not expecting too much but man was I wrong, extremely original and dare I say an actual masterpiece...
I was pleasantly surprised when Brad Dourif appeared on the screen as I had no clue he was going to be starring in this movie, I have only seen him star in the Chucky franchise and one flew over a cuckoos nest (1975), so it was a good change up to see him in this legendary feature. The kills within this film were done impeccably and not too graphic, I can't stress how much I loved this movie, most definitely in my top 10 movie plot twists and films in general💯
Cerdita (2018)
Where was this man when I was being bullied?
Incredible storyline and revenge scene, I enjoyed every second of it, seeing bullies get what's coming to them makes my day, I honestly hope that anyone who's being bullied badly has a man like this in their life, the director sure knows how to keep the audience entertained, I would absolutely kill to see more movies like this in the future, the message in this short film is very significant and crucial. I will most definitely be watching the full feature length 2022 movie remake as soon as I can, films like these just go to show that you should just treat people kindly, being a victim of bullying myself around 10 years ago and then seeing this short film gave me comfort, an incredible masterpiece that everyone should watch, 10/10💪
The Town That Dreaded Sundown (2014)
Surprising, intriguing and very well done
This film absolutely blew my mind, kept me hooked to the screen.
This movie had some absolutely creative deaths, some like I had never seen before, and an interesting storyline.
It had me thinking there wasn't going to be a killer reveal but I was absolutely shook when the big reveal took place in act 3 not only about there being 2 killers all along, but along with the fact the supposedly "dead" boyfriend was the 2nd killer, fooled the mess outta me. Amazing double plot twist, I literally could not believe my eyes. I hope there are more movies similar to this and scream that are made In the future.
Black Mirror: Shut Up and Dance (2016)
BEST episode by far
Not only was this episode mindbending but was absolutely disturbing and very well done, the final twist was absolutely shocking. This episode was thoroughly enjoyable and extremely suspenseful, loved every single moment, however I do wish we could've seen the hacker's real identity, but I guess the fact they never had the hacker's real identity shown made it more disturbing for the audience. I wouldn't recommend this episode for people who are easily disturbed, but I personally enjoyed it.
