If you love food, you will love this movie. This movie is very simple and light hearted. This movie reminds me about the old proverb, a man's heart is through his stomach, which is definitely true.

This movie does not have much reality into it, but I can definitely say that, I will definitely get attracted to a girl who is a brilliant cook.

I recommend this movie to all people who are food lovers and guys whose girlfriends & wives are brilliant cook.

I see there are few very bad reviews on this movie. I think most of these reviews have come from British viewers who did not like mockery of themselves. I understand it is hard sometime to see the mockery of yourself, specially if you the one who mocks others. Well this is 21st century and British are no more ruling the world. Face it man.

Rise of the Taj is quite a fair reflection of a confident Indian facing the British with confidence and pride. It is also a reflection of the fact that Britain is still divided into two classes the cynical asshole snobs ( who wouldn't mind of conquer the world again) and the liberal class who accepts everyone one in the British Society with open arms.

One bad thing I would like to say about this movie is the ending. The characters of Taj's parents were really not required. They were bit pushy with their comic. The ending could have been also a little sensible.

All in all it is a good movie and I recommend people from both Britain and India to see the movie. For British viewers I would only like to say please enjoy the pun and don't draw conclusions.

Well I was a student of Pentasoft. I am a passionate about animation as well.

I agree with the comments that animation is not just technology but a sense of creativity and humor.

But I really cannot agree that it is that worse.

At the same time I would say from experience that I am sure the commenter is an animator himself because animators have the bad habit of picking up technicalities which the common viewer may not pickup.

Well what I can say is that Pentamedia graphics did something that no production company even tried all these years. India is full of big production houses like the Dharma and Yashraj and so many others but nobody even tried to come up with a decent 2d animation.

What Pentamedia started has become a rage now. Disney/Pixer now has labs in India to create their animation.Today there are thousands of Indians into animation designing, lip syncing etc and Pentamedia definitely has an important role.

Pentamedia has showed the world that with no prior experience India can come of with this "PASSION" call "Pandavas", then imagine what it can do with experience and skill.

Anything that is created for the 1st time is never a master piece it is Passion.

What Pentamedia did so many years age was a stepping stone which has led to animations like Hanuman and Krishna and so many more to follow. Apart from that it has brought India on the animation map of the world.

Something about this movie, it was really not that bad. At the same time I will say for the common viewer who does not understand the technicalities of animation like lip sync and shadow effect and motion blur that don't take these comments much seriously. Enjoy the movie.

Kudos to Pentamedia.

This movie is simply great. This movie had debutant actors who came up with good performance. The actors will get unnoticed since they are so real in the movie. The story is not something you have never heard, but still it is a well narrated story with good comedy. The movie is not also just a dumb comedy but also has some message for the society. Movies like this should be definitely screened on in USA and Europe. It is no wonder that one of the debutant Arshad Warsi ( who plays Ballu) has turned out to be a one of the good actors from India. People have finally accepted him after his performance in Munna Bhai MBBS. One of the actress Priya Gill also did not have much success in Bollywood but she was good too but really could not impress the audience because she was not the typical Bollywood typecast actress.As very important part of any Indian commercial movie it has good songs which are both melodies as well as peppy.

I don't know bow many people in India has seen this movie. I did not about Selena at all before this movie. I had not seen any movie of Jenifer Lopez as well before this. One thing I can say the world definitely lost a great singer very early and Ms.Lopez is definitely an under rated actress. She is better off going good cinema than her pop singing career. Over all a great movie with excellent songs. The star cast was good and deserves a credit for the casting director. The director also goes a good job. But not to ignore that the storyline was true so that added to the whole effect of the movie. Deserves a all 10 star rating.
