Art that will future generations will enjoy
13 June 2023
This movie, beyond the Sipderman script itfself, which is a really good job, will be a milestone in the history of animation, and movie. The junction of different styles, as the development of the characters are things that must be studied for future artists. I'm not joking that this movie may be as dramatic, fun, and complex as the very best productions of all the times. You should enjoy this in theaters, but you should re-watch it in home in HD, and check every detail of every frame. This won't let you down as a masterpiece as its finest form. Music, script, feelings, action, funny moments. This movie only lacks of your presence!!!

Metal Family (2018– )

From metalheads to metalheads
4 March 2022
This cartoon is made with a lot of details. Even though it's made with very simple techniques, the simplicity gives a lot of liberty to the creators, and also, we can see the progress in every episode.

You will find a family that may look disfunctional, but the reallity is that they are more united and lovely that many of the other normal families. You will find their backgrounds, their believes and their learnings about life, more than metal itself. Of course, you will listen to metal; but it's not really about music, but about family, unity, growing and liberation of past traumas.

It may be an Addams Family for metalheads; but more philosophical and dramatic than comical.

The creators, Alina and Dima, offer also extra information and bloopers during voice-recording. There are a lot of fans around the world that would help to translate (subtitled or voice acting).

Thank you, Kurt
10 February 2022
It's because of Kurt Warner that I love football. I started to watch the game with my mom because I wanted to make some more connection and important moments with her. If it wasn't because of the amazing game of this man, I would have quit, as I quit following soccer. This man made me love football, and achieve beautiful moments with my mother. And now, with my own family. Thank you Kurt for this, you are for me the best QB in the world.

It's good to see a man that improves himself in every way of his humankind, you don't start like a star that is invisible to the people and for good luck it shines so bright that nobody can deny it. You were from below, building yourself to become what you are. I like that in this movie.

I also like the fact that he didn't give up his spirituality and still the movie is enjoyable by a heathen like me. It's not like other movies that are christian blurb and nothing else. That's is something that I like about him, he lives what he believes, he isn't just empty words.

So why 9 stars and don't 10? Well, I wish some scene were more intense, I think he skipped things; but, ok, the movie would be too long. I think 9 is the correct score this film.

Playhouse 90: Days of Wine and Roses (1958)
Season 3, Episode 2

Which version is better...
4 October 2021
Ok, reader, you'll find this review in both versions.

1958 uses a flashback to join the story timeline, because as a tv show, there are pauses for commercials. Some people like this, some other do not.

1962 is lineal, no flashbacks, no loops. Better camera technology, better photography.

Both versions have great performances, making version 1958 a little more raw, but version 1962 had more production on it. I sugget to watch both and love one or both. My heart goes to 1962.

Not from the book of Saw at all
9 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Well, I rated 9 because I hope this is the beginning of a new saga and the things will get better, so this flaws could be forgiven

Flaws from my point of view: 1) All the characters that took Jigsaw's mission were tested. This one didn't 2) All the idea was give mercy and the chance to change your life. This tests were too fast, they were more motivated by revenge and with few time to solve them (this two things are part of the book of the gospel of Kramer) 3) The time was messed up in the movie, changing from past to present randomly, or at least, I felt that way 4) The story was so well done using the James Wan formula that if you are a fan of the original saga, you may find the new Jigsaw copycat

By the way, I liked the character of Zeke. Depressed, full of anger, telling jokes with irony and sarcasm; but when things get really heavy he stays on tune. I hope this isn't a ladder of "flanderization" and the saga finishes in comedy

I would rate 8 if the things don't improve with the saga, and I would rate 10 or stay on 9 if the things get better. But by now it's a 9.

I can't rate 9 for this movie
2 May 2021
As I wrote in the first movie, I wouldn't watch this movie several times; but still a great movie that deserves a higher rate than 9. A good play of times (past and present) and a good second part. Deserves more than 9 but not 10, at least for me.

It's immoral to rate below 10
2 May 2021
I rate 10 stars for movies that I watch again and again. But if I rate 9 the average will count down, and I can't do that. This movie is great, best than the book, a piece of art, and the favorite of my mom. She can watch it again daily; but I can't, a little long and slow to me in some parts. So, 10 stars deserved; but for my personal taste, 9.

Silent Hill (2006)

I would give 10 if it would stay loyal to the characters.
22 April 2021
This movie is what every fan of Silent Hill must watch. They made the town with a lot of detail, the story is good and even though not 100% loyal to the game, it's still good and worth to watch.

I would give 10 stars if they were loyal to the characters and the meaning of the monsters. Of course, it is difficult to choose, to stay loyal and make it hard to understand, or make it easy for everybody and give what the fans want... I think they had this discussion and for the good of the money and for the good of the fans, they agreed in a middle point.

Barely with shoehorn.
22 April 2021
When I knew about this movie I was afraid that they will destroy the saga, as the world destroys everything that I love; but fortunately, it didn't happen.

Even though I would love to see a logical and organical following of the 7th movie, they made it fit to the saga, barely with shoehorn.

Yes, I liked it, it stayed with the message and idea of the movie in its core; but the out-of-the-art business made it taste like something new must happen if they don't want to destroy the saga.

Saw 3D (2010)

Lovely, as all the saga.
22 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I didn't review all the movies despite of I love them, because I would write the same thing again and again: That my wife doesn't let me write that this saga is a gospel of love and mercy; but this movie is the end that I was waiting for, the message didn't die, it only has another face. It was so great to watch everything fit in place.

Well, I must confess that the 3D was something disappointing. Maybe I watched it too old to enjoy such features.

By the way, if the poster suggests you that there is a MechaJigsaw, I'm afraid that it won't happen... sadly.

Saw (2004)

This movie is an epiphany for me.
22 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I was tired of bad movies at that time. All the horror movies were the same wasted and well-known formula, with bad special effects and dumb stories. A partner in the university told me that this movie was really good; but she couldn't tell me the end. I love spoilers, they help me to know if the movie is good or not before I watch it. So I told her that it's ok to me, and when I knew it, I watched it.

I loved this movie a lot, I watch the whole series every year. My wife told me that I shouldn't say that to me this movie is a gospel of love and mercy because people would say that I'm crazy. So I won't write it.

A friend says that this movie is cruel, it's not horror, it's torture. Well, nobody has to think like you, that's what diversity is about, right?

Of course the plot has few fails; but the movie is still amazing.

A movie to watch several times
21 April 2021
This movie is what a lot of Spiderfans would love. It has a lot of details in each corner and frame that you must watch it several times to enjoy it. It moves almost every feeling and of course, don't miss post credits scene!!

A beautiful movie for a beautiful human
21 April 2021
Based on the life of Joseph Merrick, the movie shows us his soul more than his body. As the movie goes on you can't think on a freak, but in a noble gentleman with huge intellect and a bright soul. The monsters are now the normals. Not perfectly made because of some historical mistakes; but a must watch film for sure.

Dakota stole the screen!!!
18 April 2021
I enjoyed how the production fixed the technological span of the book to the times when the movie was filmed. They made an excellent remake and book-to-screen work... But Dakota, amazing. The best of the movie aren't the adults or the special effects. That girl was outstanding.

An intelligent comedy

I can't stop laughing whenever I watch an episode. Too intelligent, well performed, a lot of talented people around. Simply wonderful. The characters evolve naturally and the plot never goes down in quality. Enjoy it!!!

If it were more original, I would give 10
17 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Nordic languages are strong, perfect for horror movies.

I liked the level of violence and as the movie went on, I was like "hey, I have seen this plot". And yes, it is Evil Dead without funny parts (I appreciate that). As a tribute I consider this a good job; but I wish it were something original.

Excellent make up, good special effects, and once you got the idea it is viking Evil Dead, you see more and more the tribute to the original.

The end was so... Really? So easy? Well... I think it is better that way, before it becomes a joke of itself.

A trilogy that is going on well
17 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
One day my wife and I were talking about the deadliest killers in movies. We discarded the collector; but a couple of days later, we watched the movie and the collector shut our mouths up with a single scene.

Really smart, strong, but still a human after all. That is a good point in the trilogy, also the fact that they name each movie differently, it gives an artistic style.

I'm not dissapointed with this second part, a really good time and a lot of fun while watching.

The Collector (I) (2009)

Always a pleasure to watch smart villains
17 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It is good to see new ideas (for its time). Big fans of horror films were tired of the same formula: Teens, sex, murderer, mix them and get a lot of money to make dozens of sequels. Repeat with another title, and loop it to infinite.

The collector is not a monster, nor a good boy who went mad for bullying amd became bad. The collector is a genius, a man with intelligence and with a simple hobby: collect people. Simple, gory and enjoyable.

It has no message, it is only a horror movie to see blood while you awe to the smart villain and his ideas to achieve his goals.

The Exorcist (1973)

One of the most important movies
17 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This one made an after and a before. The horror was never the same since this movie was released. Very loyal to the book. Amazing make up and special effects. The sound is delicious. The music is a piece of art.

I used to watch it when I was 4 years old. I watched it so many times that the Beta cassette tape almost broke.

Of course, a lot of people may not agree; but I say that Pazuzu won at the end. He made Karras loose his faith, killed Merrin and stole the purity of a child. Flawless victory.

Fun for all family, and this comedy will never die.

Lucille Ball, pretty with those lovely eyes, making funny jokes (verbal and physical) is something that you can't miss.

Yes. I love Lucy.

The best Three Fingers
17 April 2021
Gore? Yes. I'm in. Mutations or genetics involved? Yes. I'm in. Cute girls? Yes. I'm in. Beautiful landscapes? Yes. I'm in.

Well I sounded like a psycho... But well, this movie has a lot of things that I like. Taking away the garbage that other directors do, this movie focuses on what I came for. And this is the best version of Three Fingers that you will ever see.

A natural ending for a great monster
17 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
When there is a sequel, directors and writers mess it up. This second part doesn't. The monster is still as awesome as it was in the first movie, and now with wings... Wow!

Nice to see that the creature wasn't defeated, it only ran out of time. I really liked this ending and the evolution of the monster.

Great monster
17 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
When I watched this film I was afraid of another weak, dumb and easy to defeat monster. Indeed the design looked great. A lot of good special effects and make up in an actor who isn't overreacting. Powerful and invincible, of course a "good end" where goodness defeat evil is a cliché, it is impossible with such fiend and the monster got his reward. Of course, a creature not really evil, just needs to feed and is an artist, intelligent and talented. That made connection with me. I give 10 because of my feelings than anything else.
