I thought it was entertaining! I give it 8 stars.
22 April 2024
Once again, just like I said in Part One, maybe you guys watched it on a tiny screen. I watched it on a 120-inch screen, with 5.1 speakers, hehehe. I liked it! Sure it borrowed a lot of concepts from other movies mainly Seven Samurai / 47 Ronin. Sure the concept/story isn't unique/original. But I thought it was entertaining. That's the whole point right? I even re-watched Part One just before watching Part Two. I think both movies are at 7.5 to 8 stars. One criticism: Not a fan of the haircut. I'd go for the Underworld hairstyle. Looking forward to Part Three. I am definitely looking forward to a Director's/Snyder's Cut.

Star Trek: Discovery (2017–2024)
3/10
WORST Star Trek show ever, please just END it already
12 April 2024
I need to first say Star Trek Picard in my opinion is second to the worst Star Trek TV show ever made. However the absolute worst of them all, is the absolute disaster called Discovery. It is sooooo bad, I think all the writers involved should be banned. First the cursing in a Star Trek show. Really? That alone is a minus 5 stars imho. Second, none of the regular actors are likeable. Third, while I did watch everything so far up to Season 5 episode 3, I can't wait until the episodes and the series are finally over. I'm too invested into watching, I just need to see how it ends. I often find myself doing something else while Discovery is playing. After 5 seasons, I still don't know who are the actors/characters...yeah there's a Capt. Michael, Saru, a guy named Boker....and that's all I remember. The rest are completely forgettable, dull, unlikeable. Fourth, the gay garbage in Star Trek. Do your politics in some other garbage show. Five, the Klingons....what's up with the unnecessary change? However.... the effects are nice, music is nice, which is why the show gets 3 stars instead of zero. If I were still recording shows in VHS, I would burn the tapes after watching them. If you want great Star Trek, watch TOS, TNG, Voyager, Enterprise, DS9, Strange New Worlds, the Star Trek movies. Even Star Trek I and V are better than this garbage.

Way better than the last movie, however some criticisms..
21 March 2024
First (1), the best arc that set the bar high in acting, casting, look and feel, storytelling, direction for Avatar is the Kyoshi Island arc (episode 2). They definitely got that right, 9.5/10. BRAVO! Whoever was involved there, give them a raise!! The worst and most disappointing arc was the Omashu arc (episode 3). They tried to do too much in one episode, it seemed rushed, as a result, it was just a mess, 4/10. I almost gave up watching the rest of the show because of episode 3. It was like the director, scriptwriters, editors took the day off. Should have just concentrated on a favorite arc and run upwards with it (my preferred would have been a way better King Bumi arc, drop the Jet, Teo and badger mole arcs). Or give them entire episodes each. I repeat, episode 3 was a mess, very disappointing. Second (2), everywhere else (that is not the Kyoshi island arc), the acting still needs a lot of improvement (which means the director needs to step up as well and bring it out of the actors). I rate the acting as follows: Aang (6), Katara (6) lacks emotion, Sokka (6) needs to be funnier/goofyer, Azula, Sozin, Ozai (5), Iroh (6). I think these actors did a way better job in portraying their characters: June (8), Zhao (8.5), Zuko (8.5), Avatar Kyoshi (9), Suki (9), Yukari (9). Third (3), the characters as they were presented have too many flaws. Azula is too weak rather than scary/powerful or frightening/intimidating. Maybe she could have played the part Toph better, but needs to act tougher. The old movie had a better Azula. The actress who played June (bounty hunter) would have made a way better Azula. Sozin was too friendly looking, doesn't look like anyone who wants to conqueror anything. Ozai though they got the look right didn't appear scary and overpowering/intimidating/bent on conquest. Mai and Tylee - almost invisible. Would have preferred more airtime and character development of them rather than Jet and Teo arc mess of episode 3. Fourth (4), the Northern Water Tribe arc, I thought it was just OK, the storytelling of animated version was just way better. The actors for Yue and Pakku, I think they did a good job, 7 each. Overall, I give the live action season a 7/10. Will watch season 2.

My first Turskish TV show impression 8 stars
1 January 2024
FANTASTIC ACTING, I'd give 10/10 in terms of acting performance. The cast and acting is solid throughout the series. BRAVO. Music 10/10. CGI/Effects 3/10 - but that's OK, it didn't really affect or distract from the actual storyline. Storyline/script 7/10 - it's really a game of thrones, betrayal, power plays. It was basically 60 episodes at 2-2.5 hours per episode. What it lacks: grandiose scenes of the Ottoman Empire's power and history to make it look more epic. What brought me to the show was a random picture of Beren Saat from a random scene of the show, so it intrigued me to watch it. Took me a month to finish the entire show in English subtitles, so overall I would rate it as 8 stars. My favorite characters in terms of acting performances where Kosem (By Anastasia, Beren, Nurgul), Safiye, Murad, Ibrahim. Whoever did the casting should be given a raise!

Frasier (2023– )
6/10
missing the old charm
28 December 2023
The show is missing too much of what made the old Frasier work, namely the main (very likeable) characters like Niles, Daphne, Martin, Roz, Lilith. Even the other characters like Bulldog, Gil are far more likeable than the Harvard, fire house, bar gang. I thought the Harvard classroom setting would bring way more laughs like it did in 3rd Rock from the Sun. Too bad they missed that opportunity. Kid Freddy was hilarious (remember the time when he was in a spelling contest, and the time he was all bruised). Grown-up Freddy, Eve, Alan, maybe even David are just alright. Their characters should have been a lot better considering 10 eps have passed. So will I watch more? Yes sure I will, it's still a lot better than most of the worthless garbage coming out. Frasier is the only one truly holding the 2023 show together, though the character seems to have mellowed a bit, perhaps the age, but that's alright.

Sure it's not super unique, but I liked it... 7.5 stars
25 December 2023
Maybe you guys watched it on a tiny screen. I watched it on a 120 inch screen, with 5.1 speakers, hehehe. I liked it! Sure it borrowed a lot of concepts from other movies mainly Seven Samurai / 47 Ronin. I even thought the robot would have its own arc similar to I,Robot / Chappie. Plot isn't unique at all. Might have borrowed the Borg queen, Braveheart warpaint, Gladiator, and an Urukai. It even has a little bit of Greek mythology influence. It tries to mix all these elements into one movie, but I thought it worked, because it entertained. A plot problem would be that ship - who lets a gunner also pilot a ship that size? Looking forward to the Director's Cut.

Suuuper sloooowww
8 September 2023
This has to be the slowest show ever. BUT.... it does have nice story elements which made me want to stick around. How slow? You can probably re-edit the first 5-6 episodes of season 1 down to 30 essential minutes. They are essential to the character and story development, but super slow. I cannot over-emphasize just how slow it is. The season starts to speed up around episode 7. So you have to be patient, very. I stayed because of the story elements. I really wanted to know what happened next. Almost all the main characters were initially irritating, some are still very irritating and hard to empathize with like the Japanese lady, and the brother-sister tandem, that cause too many irritating moments. Don't misunderstand, they acted very well, but their characters were written that way, that to me, was just irritating. 6-stars sounds about right, all because of how slooowww the show progressed. Will I watch more? Yes.

I thought it was great!
29 August 2023
Don't know why people would give this a 1/10, but I can say it is way better than the last movie., which I would probably have rated a 6 or 7. The first three movies were the best, but I think this movie stayed true to the character, great acting, great story, great effects and details, what's not to like really? I loved every scene of the move. I give this movie a high 9, but I'll say 10 just to balance off the non-objective haters. If this was the last movie, I thought it nicely done. He's getting old, they really should have done these movies back in the 80s and 90s. Still... I loved it. Great movie!

Ahsoka (2023– )
6/10
Mixed review here
24 August 2023
Effects/looks - excellent. Story/Plot - good, but could be presented better. Dialogue - monotonous somewhat tedious. I found myself distracted (even reaching for my phone) while watching and could not focus 100% on the show. Acting - needs a lot of improvement. If this were a piano piece, it was playing with one octave, I will go as far as saying the dialogue was basically a single note, no highs, no lows, as if all the actors were just reading from a script in front of them in a classroom setting. The acting needs a lot of improvement, most of them were emotionless and stayed at ONE NOTE: The Sith were calmer than Jedi, emotionless. They would put Jedi to shame. Sabine, where is the fire? I could not see it in her face even while fighting or arguing. Hera, too happy. Morgan, one dimensional, pretty much like the Sith. Myn also one dimensional. Ahsoka herself, I would give 7/10 in terms of acting as a "Jedi" character. I guess this is the mature Ahsoka, not her younger rebellious nature that I miss. The best actors were Chopper, Huyang, and all the droids, and I would say Captain Hayle and his crew. After that, what happened? Did someone just drop the ball? Is it the accompanying musical score, did they use AI instead of real actors? Dave Filoni is now working with real live actors and not animated characters that cannot display a wide range of emotional depth. Hey, I am still a fan of all the animated works, Ahsoka is my favorite character. I hope it gets better. Overall, I give 6 stars for the first two episodes.

The Dragon Prince (2018– )
2/10
Sigh...here's the problem I have with this show...
30 July 2023
The problem with almost every show out there today including The Dragon Prince, is the political statement the writers/producers want to make. They just haaaave to say their political piece, as if to satisfy some rights group. It could be LGBTQwxyz rights, it could be mixed-couple rights, it could be some other sensitive political issues. If we want to watch politics, really, we'll go to C-SPAN or the News. I AM REALLY SICK of all the cr***p everyone is putting out these days. This is a cartoon (animation if you prefer), it should be fun and cute and all that!! That was mostly true for Season 1-3 of The Dragon Prince, and I would give that 7 stars. It was almost a clone for the masterpiece called Avatar, the Last Airbender (9 stars). Now in Season 4-5, all I can remember about the show is all the unnecessary smooching. It was cute and adorable in Season 1-3 specially between Callum and Rayla, but now in Season 4-5, all that is just uughhh. Hopefully you guys have gotten out all your political pieces (I really don't want to see or hear about it, again I go to the News to watch that cr***p) and get back to the core (the fun stuff in Season 1-3) that made you successful in time to avoid more ugghhh for season 6-7. You writers completely ruined it for me.

I just watched this in 2023 WOW!!
14 March 2023
The storytelling/writing is TOP NOTCH! Out of 133 episodes, I would say only literally a handful were somewhat boring, that I wished was over already, the rest were just amazing! Therefore 10/10 stars! While I'm not a super fan of the animation style, the depth of the stories - more than compensates. I think the problem in the animation style is mostly the faces. It works when you have ships, helmets/armor, robots, but the faces lacked something, maybe it's emotional depth, which would be difficult to animate. I watched the Clone Wars series only because of Tales of the Jedi, another amazing series (only 6 episodes). The last memorable 4 episodes of the Clone Wars series is definitely MOVIE-level storytelling, musical scoring, styling and drama! What an ending, WHOA!! My absolute favorite character for the entire Clone Wars series is definitely Ahsoka. I'm now watching Season 2 of Rebels, and though good, I would say so far it is a notch below Clone Wars. I will definitely watch Resistance and Bad Batch next. I also noticed a prominent name in these series: Dave Filoni who is also involved with The Mandalorian, another amazing series! Great work and thanks for making this!

Fantastic! Better than HoD!
2 September 2022
Movie-level production quality for a TV series, fantastic start (ep 1 and 2), good pacing, great effects. I feel like I should be buying theatre tickets just to have watched it. I love the Galadriel arc. I love the fact it is TV14. I thought the bar the 2 episodes set were better than HoD/GoT, way way better! It matches the tone/feel/look/quality of The Hobbit and LoTR. I have no complaints, please keep it up for the next 5 seasons! I thoroughly enjoyed it, 10/10 just for the first 2 episodes. If you didn't like it, too bad for you, please don't compare it to the book, THERE IS NO BOOK to compare it with.

Awesome movie! Amazing character development and acting! Fantastic story-telling. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie from start to end. I actually have no complaints except that the movie ended. This is the best predator movie perhaps even better than Arnold's! BRAVO! THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT!!

hmmm....mixed review here....
16 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I have mixed feelings about the entire show so far. Some parts I thought are pretty good, but far far more parts that were quite stale and uninteresting. This show needs a "Snyder cut" version. I believe that if Leai was ever a 10-year old kid, the show has certainly explained a lot about her personality, so that part is very good. The Third Sister character, seemed to lack more character development. I would have liked to have seen other Jedi on the run and being hunted. On Kenobi's character, something doesn't add up and it bugs me, it needs to explain better why Kenobi becomes feeble, old and weak (let's assume he was using the force to hide his presence and that really took a lot out of him). Because Kenobi looked really ancient, weak, feeble, and "an old fossil" in A New Hope which is technically just 9 years away in the timeline. As for the show, it feels they rushed to push it out the door and didn't put consistent effort all across. But, I want to mention, I definitely liked the ending scene of ep4 between Leai and Kenobi, I felt a connection to A New Hope when Leai appealed to Kenobi for help thru R2D2. The 5th episode I thought was the best among all the episodes so far. That one I would rate at 7/10. So overall, eps 1-5, I give a 4/10.

Not a Halo gamer, BUT I ENJOYED THE SHOW
2 June 2022
Not a fan of the video game franchise, never even played Halo, so I have no idea what the "Halo" universe is really about. BUT, I enjoyed the show for what it was - sci-fi entertainment. I liked all the characters, and would definitely watch a season 2. I thought it was way better than ST: Discovery, SW: Boba Fett, ST: Picard, and the new SW: Obi-Wan Kenobi (based on 3 episodes).

Still almost incomprehensible
24 August 2021
I'm a fan of the series, I watched the TV series decades ago, and now the Rebuild movies, but they are still inherently flawed in that it has always been almost incomprehensible.

So what is wrong with it? Here's what I find myself saying many times:

1. What does that even mean?!?!

It uses unknown terms in a sentence then again several minutes later as if that would help understand what it meant in the first place. Then when it does use a term that is vaguely familiar, it is used in a completely different manner and context.

2. What is that?!?!

It tries to wow us with imagery and animation that is incomprehensible. I don't even know what I am looking at!

3. What is going on?!?!

The main flaw is the story telling. It only allows a portion of it, just barely enough, to understand what is really going on. Frankly, it could lose the audience.

But hey, I am still a fan, love the characters, most especially Rei, distantly followed by Asuka, and I will watch whatever comes next.
