Everybody Rides the Carousel (1976)
Odd and symbolic narrative of Erickson's social development theory.

WOW! This film is incredible, and if there's anything to be said for the film, it's that it is very true to its basis. It follows the theories very closely and is a fine educational tool. In fact, that's how I was introduced to the film. But aside from the educational value, the film is extremely entertaining. The score is amazing; true 60's jazz... such a wonderful era.
However, if I were to make a suggestion for anyone wanting to watch this film, I would strongly recommend that you pay close attention to any symbolism. Half of the details surrounding Erickson's theory are hidden in symbolic images and gestures, but if you're a conscientious viewer at all, you'll pick up on them.
