Ladies in Black (2018)
Best Movie to Come Out of Sydney Since 'The Castle'
Congratulations to all involved in this wonderful feast of cinematic magic. Enjoyed every second of it! I've waited a long time to see such a great home grown movie as this and PG too. Well done everyone.
The Dig (2021)
I dug this!
It was a little slow in parts but I guess so was the digging, so it reflected that very well. The casting, setting, photography, production and script were excellent. I'd love to see similar movies like these made. I am more appreciative of archaeology and the pains and disappointments the archaeologists must endure, than I was before. Thank you team.
Unorthodox (2020)
Was it Kocha? I don't care as it was very entertaining.
What an informative program in sharing some of the Jewish lifestyle. It made me appreciate their loyalty to what they have believed for so very long,, hanging onto beliefs and values that have have existed in their culture for ions. It was really interesting to see how characters evolved, especially when out of their comfort zones. I hope there are more series made with the same cast, who were all excellent. Shalom.
Blown Away (2019)
Don't Be Brittle on Production
Anyone interested in glass will find this interesting. I am not a glass maker but appreciate witnessing the 'difficult skills, compassion and creative talent' that each contestant brings to their piece. Thank you team. Why are their more like this on 'lead lighting'? 'Etched glassware? Lead lighting? etc aren't shown? It was just great to watch something intelligent without sex, violence, anger, melancholy, people's right movements dominating the themes.
Anne (2017)
ENCHANTINGLY FABULOUS!
Wow a top notch series. Perfect in every way. Great for adolescents and adults alike. Loved it and will watch again someday.
Lion (2016)
Great Movie
I rated this high because the casting, locations, photography, music and plot were excellent. I gave it '9' because I only give movies '10' when I replay them from a '9'.
I saw a 'Netflix' or was it Yahoo Doc on the real mother but haven't relocated it yet to watch. Should be interesting. Will replay soon for a perfect score.
Our Wild Hearts (2013)
FAMILY ORIENTATED-Predictable for Adults but MUSIC FAR TOO LOUD
I would have rated it 6 stars other than the Music was just too loud, often making dialogue illegible. A good movie otherwise for families to watch together.
Cactus (2008)
Road to Nowhere
Take a slow and arduous journey into outback Australia with two blokes locked together in a 'FORD', no less! One the kidnapped victim, for whichever reason we never really discover and the other a real loser who turns out to be helping his dieing wife by kidnapping this bloke for $20k, taking him into the never-never by means of a lot of dry banter between both. It keeps one riveted to find out what it's all about and the unsuspected ending left me confused and still bewildered to know what it was all about. I guess it was about a road to nowhere by a film to nowhere via a script that left me perplexed and guessing which direction it was meant to take. Perhaps after all that's what it was all about after all. I am still guessing and wondering if I had the mickey taken out of me though by wasting hours on the road to nowhere watching this? No fault of the actors though- it was worth watching for their parts were difficult and riveting.
