Constellation (2024)
A great sci-fi and a fantastic performance by Noomi Rapace
Noomi Rapace is one of my favorite actors and she does not disappoint in Constellation, in fact she more of less carries this series. Rosie Coleman is really good as well and I can only imagine how difficult it must be to play her part.
In any case, I believe the negative reviews are by people who do not understand quantum physics and as such, do not "get" what is actually going on.
It is as @yooniverse has written, a story where two events take place and do not take place at the very same time, which is why things can get a bit confusing, but trough out the entire series, a subtle hint is constantly given, a "pointer" so to speak, but you need to understand quantum physics to really appreciate the show.
The Pod Generation (2023)
It's a comedy and it's hilarious
Even though this movie does have some thought provoking elements, it's a comedy more than anything else, but I believe you need to be a parent yourself to fully "get it".
Emilia Clarke and Chiwetel Ejiofor are both absolutely amazing in this. I cannot imagine how difficult or absurd some of the scenes must have been to act, but they both does it fantastic. Emilia cracked me up in the scene where she forgets she is carrying the pod and walks into the door at the office meeting.
Even though this movie is about A. I. and the technological development, there are much more profound elements of the human existence that get touched upon.
In any case, I found it hilarious.
The Expanse (2015)
The very best
This is one of the best shows I have ever seen. Amazing acting, amazing CGI, amazing story. I wish the show would have continued for at least 4 more seasons! It could have continued for many more than that.
Invasion (2021)
Great show and really good CGI
A lot of people complain about this show being too slow, but that is absolutely nonsense. Because the events that are taking place are viewed from several different perspectives by different characters, it takes longer to "get to the point", but that is one of the great parts of this show. You're hanging in suspension.
The only negative part of the show is the fact that yet another sci-fi series is used to promote homosexuality. Again a huge amount of focus is on this, and the main Japanese character that plays homosexual is acting completely ridicules regarding her relationship in light of the problems the world is facing - this show would have done so much better without this soap opera part in it. It's irrelevant and very tiresome. Fast forward is handy when this part of the show is displayed.
I am very much looking forward to the second season, but I do hope that they get rid of this focus on homosexuality and the soap opera aspect of it.
Foundation (2021)
A masterpiece
I'm from the 70'th and have more or less watched everything sci-fi related that's out there. It's rare when something is both well written, well acted, and well implemented, this is one of those shows.
Superman & Lois (2021)
Same family/lovers relationship drama rubbish as usual
I created my IMDB account just to write this review. I grew up reading all the Superman comics. So far all the other shows, Supergirl, Flash, etc. Has been one big train wreck of relationship gay drama rubbish.
This show is (so far from what I have seen) not focused on all the gay stuff, but it's still the same family/lovers/couples drama rubbish as the other shows.
The actors are not to blame, but the writing and the characters are just acting ridiculous. Superman as a father to two spoiled teenagers that both act as 3 year olds. Lois is so out of character that its really hard to watch.
I cannot understand all the positive reviews saying that this is how Superman should be - NO IT'S NOT!
I give it 3 stars because of the great CGI.
