The Orville: Domino (2022)
Season 3, Episode 9
Long and empty
28 July 2022
Lots of pretty fighting but no emotional feeling of investement. Losing a character that they missed their mark with since being introduced. Or again continuation of same plot, predictable and uninspired.

Its just not very exciting, fun or intelligent writing. When Orville began, one anticipated the episodes much more. It was somehow more fun. Now you know you will be getting more of the same, moklans and Keylons and whatnot. Its just kind of getting boring.

Im guessing with the end of 3rd now so near and this basically concluded, we will be introduced to another plot point for 4th season. I only hope the plot will be an underlying red line over the season with many episodes with specific original plots and we will not again be watching a whole season of (stretched out) plot(s) that the writers keep returning back to again and again (like this season where 90 was basically mocklans or/and Topa, Kaylons).

The Orville: Midnight Blue (2022)
Season 3, Episode 8
Again with Topa
21 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
These mocklan episodes seem to be almost every second episode. Im pretty sure TNG had less Klingon episodes altogether than Orville had mocklan so far. And Klingons were far more interesting. It wasnt always about feelings and personal growth.

I wanna see new, stimulate imagination, take the viewer to places unimaginable, original, crazy aliens, cultures.

Not keep repeating whats already been seen and make us watch hour and a half of councils meetings, talking about feelings and then some nonsensical torture as she seemed the worst candidate for getting that name.

The doctor truly is not at his best here, it is sort of difficult to watch.

And what is with all these poorly written 10/10 reviews, they all seem from the same person, exaggerating the quality of episode beyond ridiculous.

This show is done for. Unless they fire everyone, excluding the main cast, for next season, this is never going to be better than this. Right now it is average at best, some episodes not even that.

Unfortunate. At least theres Orville.

Barry: starting now (2022)
Season 3, Episode 8
Bye Barry It Was Fun
13 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
As long as it lasted. Sadly not into season 3. This is not anymore the show that one anticipates and thinks about eagerly waiting for next episode to drop.

It lost something. It feels like they attempted to go into "im now a serious thespian,I AM Bill Hader! And Barry will be my vessel" and simply discarded everything that made the show fun and it has become a personal Bill Hader drama class where he tries to show (us? Himself?) how much of a serious actor he is and also a mighty auteur powerhouse through the Barry . Not just a guy who thought of fishsticks joke on South Park.

Why not stick to what you know Bill... especially if youre good at it.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part IV (2022)
Season 1, Episode 4
Awful and boring
8 June 2022
Episode 4 and basically they couldve put all this in two episodes TOPS. The inquisitors are useless and less scary than Santa, Reva is getting more annoying by every scene she is in and somehow ALWAYS manages to just slip somehow by despite failing every time. The kid is a master escape artist not to mention resists powerful jedis with no training. And OBi- wan, poor PTSD Obi makes no sense at all. Long and forgotten are Jedi who were portrayed as wise and profound , understanding life and universe. Why bother delving deep into SW lore. They can just write something super woke and supposedly relatable by giving him PTSD and calling it tramatic and complex.

This show is so bad.

I feel bad for Ewan who still tries to act it out as best as he can. Though going by his interviews It seems he thinks the show is a masterpiece. I guess a good actor is not necessarily an smart actor.

The Boys: Barbary Coast (2022)
Season 3, Episode 3
Kind of dull
3 June 2022
First one was great and very fun but the last two could easily been made into one episode. Everyone seems to be running in circles, should I shouldnt I and again, not to mention like someone else mentioned, the characters keep doing the same things that we've been seeing for two seasons now.

We have already seen Homelander be mean and looking at everyone like he wishes to laser them in half, having fun with innocents or torturing Deep.

Thats all been done, even resolved partially at least and Deep getting some resolution and emotional payback.

But now it seems the writers are just repeating it all again exactly the same.

Wheres the plot, wheres the story? I feel the story will fit on one page, all the rest will be more or less unrelated side stories with characters repeating themselves.

Kinda boring...

A Dull Affair
23 February 2022
I am not watching this snoozefest anymore. Anything barely happens anymore and if we are lucky Superman is sometimes involved.

Just lots of melodrama more fit for Jerry Springer.

This used to be a good show.

Star Trek: Prodigy (2021–2024)
An entertaining quality made show even if directed more towards a younger viewer
29 October 2021
Though it is difficult to judge with one episode out. But I love the essential "exploring with a ship" foundation and looking forward to what happens. The characters seem interesting and the animation very nice. The storyline so far seems pretty basic but we'll see.

Despite it might seem it will be more of a kids show it still has many elements that are enjoyable for any ST fan. Give it a chance!

Foundation (2021– )
Quality sci-fi, pensive, beautifully visually crafted and immersive
8 October 2021
I am just astounded by the CGI and the general visual portrayal of everything, from costumes to sets with incredible attention to the most minute details. Especially enjoy the Empire portrayal .

Also love the thoughtful dialogues. So many shows today have terrible subpart writing catering to mass audiences and trying to please everyone. Here it is intelligent, gives you philosophical/moral/ethical matters to contemplate on and is interesting to observe.

Also as much as I like Asimov, his writing is not very reader friendly in terms of being immersed in his portrayal of his worlds, character's development or a live colorful world. He is a great sci-fi thinker with ideas and vision far ahead of his time however a writer, not so much.

At this time the show is only a few episodes in so it is difficult to properly assess.

Still, VERY much recommended for sci-fi fans, if you are intelligent enough and open minded enough to understand building on an idea. Not everything has to be a copy paste, look at this as a homage to the writer. Narrowminded shallow only books fans, avoid it and stick to your books if you are already coming in fast with fortified predispositions.
