This truly defines the word 'classic'. It is an amalgamation of innocent and corrupt, right and wrong, simple and complicated, trust and deceit. Through the words of Harper Lee, a real treasure has been able to be introduced to the film world. A film about people that is believable, likeable, and an amazingly true picture of Depression-Era America.

The cast was superb in all aspects. Considering Peck won the best actor oscar and the film won several Oscars and Golden Globes it will be remembered as one of the few believable and acurately rated films of the 'golden age of film'. The child actors, Mary Badham, Philip Alford, and John Megna, were particularly good. The projected the required naivity and innocence that is hard to get and still know your lines.

'To Kill A Mockingbird' is truly effective. It reflects the time it was release and the time it was set. It has been a happy memory of simpler days to the many who lived through them and the people who wished they had.

This Can't Be Love (1994 TV Movie)
Adorable!
25 November 2003
I found this film to be adorable. I loved Kate in it, and it amazed me the similarities to her life. I just found it wonderful! The acting all around was decent, not too bad. Cute plot but I doubt it would work with anyone but Katharine Hepburn! She pulled it all together-as always.

Little Women (1933)
awww, too cute!

So far, this is my favorite version! Hepburn is a fabulous Jo, that character is so much like herself. The other performance were wonderful also! Cukor's direction, as always, was superb! I thought that the eldest sister had a very very small part but it was well made up for by the others! The sets, costumes everything were magnificent! Definately worth your time. One of the truest film adaptions to date.

One Christmas (1994 TV Movie)
Definately inspiring and cute!

This is such a cute film! It's a great Christmas movie and really cheer you up! I was surprised at Winkler's performance actually! I also was surprised that Hepburn only had 3 or 4 scenes, what she did have was adorable! She was practically just playing herself! Great, cute, family film!

Desk Set (1957)
Certainly a cutie!

This is my favorite movie of the pair that I have seen so far! I agree that it may not be the kind of movie a lot of people like to see but it is great if you're a fan of Tracy, Hepburn, of fun movies in general. I being a fan of all three greatly enjoyed it. Tracy and Hepburn really look like they're enjoying themselves which in turn makes you enjoy the movie. It may not be Gone With The Wind or Casablanca, or even Adam's Rib or Sea of Grass but it a nice slower paced fun movie that most people would enjoy.

Gaslight (1944)
Interesting drama, makes ya pay sit up and pay attention!

Ingrid Bergman gives an inspired performance! She remains true to the character and the writing while still being Bergman. Boyer's performance is great, those looks that could kill! Cotten is definately another highlight of the film. He conveys a certain amount of power that we aren't usually privledged to see from him. He is definately an underrated actor. Cukor's directing was great and Lansburry looked great. Her first film for you Angela fans. Definately a great picture. Well worth your %4.99 if you buy it at Suncoast.

The Man Upstairs (1992 TV Movie)
What a gem!
3 August 2003
This is a gem, a true gem!! Hepburn is so cute in this movie, I couldn't turn it off! O'Neal is excellent as the escaped convict who befriends an elder lady(Hepburn). The Irish housekeeper is so irritating you just can't help but love her! Hepburn, though being past 80 years old, performs beautifully and she is very believable! You can just imagine her wrestling a convict to the ground and taking his gun at Fenwick. The story was inspired and very cheery. A great family movie and just a real gem. It's definately worth your 90 minutes.

Alright

This movie was in one word alright. Sinatra is definately the highlight and gives a good performance in a role that fits him well. Faye Dunaway definately needed more screen time but her performance was quite good in the scenes she had. I am a huge Faye and Frank fan so I may be a little prejudice. It's pretty good. I hate to admit though, I have been nervous around hammers ever since!

Makes you think.

Definately a must see! Davis's performance was remarkable, subdued but full of emotion and depth without over acting. The actor playing Morgan Evan's is very remarkable being his first film. He and Davis exchange witty banter that makes you appreciate both actors without taking any of the lime light away from the other. The characters were complex and showed facets of ourselves. This movie really makes you think. It's my favorite Davis picture. The themes were very mature and ahead of their time. It's sort of like a early Peyton Place!
