Comedy Central Presents: Jim Gaffigan (2000)
Hilarious
This guy's simply hilarious! You have to check him out. If you like Conan O'Brien and Seinfeld-type humour, you will love Jim Gaffigan.
Here's some quotes from his "The Last Supper" CD to give you an idea:
-I think it's weird we ask the waiter for advice... like "Hey yeah, you don't know me at all, but what do you think I should eat?"
D'you ever have the waiter strongly recommend something? You feel kind of guilty not getting it. "Yeah, I know you really want me to get *that* but... I'm just gonna get what I want. Cuz I'm still paying, right pushy?"
-I do try and heat healthy though, I'm a vegetarian. Not a strict vegetarian though, I eat beef and pork. And chicken... but not fish 'cause that's *disgusting*!! How can you tell when fish goes bad, it smells like fish either way! "Mmmh this smells like a dumpster, let's eat it!"
The great thing about Jim Gaffigan is that both his material and his delivery are top notch, and that's all it takes for a good stand-up comedian. Check him out! :)
Street Fighter II: V (1995)
A bit slow plot-wise, but great fighting scenes
That's basically the only flaw of this anime series, the plot is fairly slow to develop, I guess by choice, since it's a series made of several episodes, but aside from that, it's a great view. Very nice artwork, and cool fighting scenes.
Spider-Man (1994)
A great 90's cartoon show
I remember watching this as a kid, back in 1996 and I really enjoyed it. Lately I've rediscovered this great Spider-Man series thanks to the internet, and I must say it truly is as entertaining as before!!
I am not an expert of the Marvel Comics themselves, but the way Spider-Man is presented in this cartoon, his constant struggle between his life as a super-hero and the life of Peter Parker, his sense of responsibility and his bad luck with relationships, is true I think to the original feel Stan Lee meant to give to the character. This is a great view!! A great effort was made in the computer animated sequences, as well as in story writing! 9/10!
Requiem for a Dream (2000)
Smashing, stunning, mindbreaking!!
This film will get you into the loop of 3 drug addicts, and another that will eventually become one, in an incredible mix of emotions!! Drama at its best!! The original soundtrack matches perfectly, and Aronofsky's directing is absolutely flawless!!
