Travesty to the heritage of the Jedi
21 July 2022
Only gave this 3 stars because of some decent CGI.

The plot and directing are below a 1... Disney has ruined one of the strongest, most iconic and inspiring jedis.

It's riddled with nonsense, you'll constantly be asking yourself "but... why...?"

Gave up on third episode, don't waste your time. No idea how this has 7/10 when most reviews are 2-3 stars.

Halo (2022– )
6/10
More entertaining then I'd like to admit
17 May 2022
Once you get past the very average CGI, it is actually a decent piece of entertainment. Sure there are some plotholes but there are enough twists and interesting aspects that keep the viewer engaged. Many real-world and psychological sublayers are explored such as the implications of emotions in AI systems, military tactical controversies and the power of truth vs betrayal.

I can't stop watching and always want to know what happens next.

Do not watch this if you're a hardcore fan of the original Halo games, you will hate it.

I love Omar Sy, but this is terrible

Most cliché movie I've seen in forever, it's so predictable it hurts. Such a shame since the cast is actually quite capable and the plot isn't half bad.

Incredible CGI, average result
19 April 2022
The potential of this movie is beyond comprehension.... the CGI is breathtaking and the premise/plot could have been marvelous. Shame it gets squandered by terrible acting, endless plot holes and a multitude of characters that are of absolutely no use to the story.

Fun watch if you just want to switch your brain off, escape reality and be immersed in a grand visual journey.

The Batman (2022)
3/10
Slow, boring, overly gloomy, too much nonsense
4 March 2022
I am not being bias towards/against Robert Pattinson or anyone else involved in this film, this is my neutral take as a DC, Marvel, and cinematography fan in general.

First off, the film is so long and so slow, that it just makes you want to turn it off at some points. Too many scenes are dragged out for utterly no reason, the plot is shallow and riddled with nonsense.

Second, there are way too many Twilight-like scenes and Robert Pattinson portrays a far too "emotionally available" Batman in my opinion. His voice is also way too soft, it does not convey the pain and scars of a real Batman. The fight scenes are deplorable, he gets away with things mostly out of luck (car pursuit, neck bomb explosion, point blank shotgun to the chest, all these scenes portrayed 0 Batman skills).

Third, why oh why is it so depressing haha Batman is supposed to be dark and filled with anger/sorrow, not be a depressed man-child.

Lastly, a useless and ridiculous Alfred... you're a butler mate. If you hear the phone ringing you're not going to go pick it up? Absurd.

Chaotic mess that makes no sense
5 December 2021
I made it through to the third episode and then gave up.

The idea behind it is good but poorly executed, riddled with plot holes and tedious to watch due to poor acting.

Don't waste your time on this.

Interesting plot, bad cast, Matthias carries hard
30 October 2021
Without the performance of Matthias Schweighöfer, this movie would have been unwatchable. I was even more impressed when I realized he is the director of this film, although there are some massive plot/cast issues.

The plot is incredibly intriguing (if you like safes and Norse Mythology) yet the rest of the cast delivers a cringe worthy bland performance. I would have given this movie a 6/10 if there weren't so many issues with the bank heist aspect, as in, there are far too many errors and illogical things that happen during the robberies.

Very good special effects during the safe breaking scenes give this movie some "woah" moments and help you grasp how complicated a safe can be internally.

All in all, fun movie to watch if you don't overly analyse it, definitely worth the time, although I found the whole zombie aspect completely and utterly useless.
