Beautiful little film, fine performances throughout and great swearing!

Absolutely brilliant, tears of laughter throughout, while also having really touching moments, and some of the best film swearing I've heard in a long time.

Comparisons with Shaun of the Dead are a tad obvious of course clearly, but it certainly features the wit and timing of an Edgar Wright film.

And the performances of the leads Lupita Nyong'o, Alexander England and Diesel La Torraca are excellent, including some of the best appropriations of the Darth Vadar character I've ever seen.

A reflection of the Director - Dark themes dealt with through humour. Wonderful

One of my random picks at the BFI London Film Festival, didn't really know anything about it going in, and was surprised to find it was actually a HBO Europe TV series, rather than a film.

The performance we saw featured 4 episodes out of 12, with notes to explain the characters we discovered that had originated in episodes we'd not seen.

A Swedish comedy-drama, about a TOO nice guy who can't say no to anyone in need, while also working as a child psychologist, it follows his life in a small town he's moved to for work, and the individuals who pass through.

The show seemed to be a reflection of director Lukas Moodysson who appeared for a Q&A afterwards, and captured underlying dark themes, but with brilliant sharp witty humour which seemed to help as a coping mechanism for this own personal demons.

Littered with joyful moments, cringe-worthy scenes, and heartfelt compassion, it looks like it'll be a great little show which I'll certainly look out for on Streaming services.

Dull
1 March 2007
It's just boring. Over long Hollywood tripe, with some classic over acting by some classic over actors. The editing is appalling and confusing, the character development is useless. I'm actually annoyed I've wasted 3 hours of my day watching this trash.

I recall attempting to watch the film in the past and never getting to the end, I've now remembered why, it's rubbish.

Maybe in America it might have more impact, but that doesn't stop it being boring.

There are many other films out there that attempt this type of war/character change style and do it much better, without making you want to put a gun to head.

Jesus Christ!

A charming film about the importance of Spiritualism in a cynical jaded world. Although misguided, the children's belief in JC was heartfelt and sincere, and for an atheist, it touched my soul (assuming I have one) This was juxtaposed to sour, world-weary attitude of the adults in the film, from the greedy farmhand, who's only passion was his traps, to the aunt, embittered by the fact she's forced to help bring up her children of her brother, after his wife has passed away, and of course in a clever swipe at the religious establishment, with the vicar, who doesn't really get it.

The innocence and charm of the children reminded me of the original Lord of the Flies, another 60's classic, and you can't helped but be enchanted by the young characters, as they interact, often to great comic effect.

There is a moral message behind a fairly straightforward story, and you can take that to heart, and analyse it at length, alternatively you can just enjoy a lovely tale of life seen through children's eyes.

Woeful!

This has to be one of the worst films made ever in the world ever in its entirety, including those involving Jean Claude Van Dam.

I persevered until 3/4 of the way when I realized it wasn't going to improve, the running joke was getting very hackneyed, and I wanted to tear my ears off.

Rubbish Rubbish Rubbish

Please avoid unless you're an idiot who likes being irritated and bored.
