Honestly I'm quite disappointed by this movie. The story is so poor and so similar to starwars that is ridiculous, just decent for a teenage audience that doesn't have any sci-fi background. Creativity and looks are a mix of Wharhammer and Wharhammer 40k and a bit of some nazi uniforms. Dialogues are a bit poor and without any involvement, edit poor as well and character doesn't evolve during the story. Honestly the only things that is decent is cg, vfx are pretty nice and well done but without a solid story and a nice edit and rhythm they are just wasted. Also quite tired of the netflix checklists like: girl heroin, white guys = pure evil, evil boss that survive at the end and so on..it's a pity it could have been a great movie, I liked Sucker Punch and compared to this one looks like a masterpiece.

I enjoyed watching this movie, the script it's pretty solid and original and everything seems well done in all the details. Directors have done a good job keeping you stuck on the chair mixing some thriller / survival stuff with a background dramatic story that sometime spotted out giving more deep to the character. Well directed and well edited , with some shoots loop (the foot that step in making a "click" as it's touching a mine) or Armie that kneel down in different time and story spacing that bring some focus on what it's going to happen and linked all the story together. I enjoyed also how the directors gave us more information and the background story about the soldier and it's inner conflicts. Nice photography and environment too, with some cool shoots to watch. If you consider that on this movie there is less than 7 actors..and you really don't miss anything it means that they have done a good job. I was really surprised by Armie Hammer that he's playing the main character..he produces a really good interpretation really believable ,maybe better when he's in the desert than at home in his normal life. Really a good interpretation. Also i was surprised by the visual effects.. really good and that's why the movie it nominated for David's Donatello award. The only thing i found a bit silly...a marine never put himself in front of sun with a rifle scope..simply because it could reflects the light and make you detected..as it is in the movie..so maybe it's a bit silly. A nice movie that bring some more interesting stuff than just a survival movie as other similar, so if you want just to watch an action movie this isn't the right one, but if you want to watch something between action drama and thriller it's the right one and that's why i really enjoyed to watch it.

Ustica was a big mystery in the Italian recent history, so the idea to do a movie based on what happened it's at least a good idea. And this maybe it's the better part of the movie. The story moves across the events lived by 3 mains characters that during the movie explains what it supposed to be happened at Ustica. Let's start to analyze the movie. Director work it's weak your are not taken away with the story and as well as storytelling seems a bad TV show of the 90's. No visually nice shot, nothing special on the pathos and storytelling..really seems a bad TV shows. And if you consider the subject, if you don't have any pathos anything that make you stuck on the chair..it's very bad. Editing is quite bad too. Female cast it's also weak with too much overacting or bad interpretations that you don't believe very much. Male cast it's better than female cast, with Tomas Arana (that isn't playing the main character) better of all, also it's character cynical and detached it's the most believable. Costumes and choreography it's good and bring you back to the 80's, it's very believable. What it's really terrible are visual effects..how is possible to produce such a bad quality in this years? A couple of shot's are OK but the rest seems done too in the 90's..some fighter dogfight shots really seems a video game of more than 15 years ago. I know that visually speaking it's challenging to produce nice images on this subject..but really they are really bad done. And what surprise more than all it's that this movie it's nominee for best visual effects for David's Donatello award...how it's possible? So in the end you can watch this movie for the idea to watch something about one of the biggest mystery on the Italian's recent years but after that it's a really bad movie that seems done in any aspect at least 20 years ago.

The Davinci code was nice interesting enjoyable and mysterious, everything was linked together in a nice storytelling. Also the Actors are believable as they where presented. OK for Inferno consider the opposite of what i said for the Davinci code. The story itself make no sense, it's just a pretext to have Tom Hanks character back in another movie, the story isn't gritting and doesn't make you stay on the chair, in some moments it's just boring. Don't know why Dan Brown have to find always something mysterious on the Italian literature or art, maybe with Leonardo Davinci you can find something like that something that make you think there is something mysterious...but using DANTE for this movie it's completely out of sight. don't know what happen to Ron Howard but this movie seems really bad directed and bad edited..really bad. Also Tom hanks and all the cast..all of them seems really way behind them potential. So bad story, bad directing and editing bad acting (if you consider that we are speaking about Ron Howard and Tom Hanks)..if you enjoyed the Davinci code don't waste your time with this movie.

i have to say that i quite enjoyed watching this movie it's very similar to a Robinson Crusoe story just the story isn't settled on an island but in deep space. Cris Prat woke up during a space travel where it was supposed sleeping for 90 years..and since it's the only one awake it's trying to survive in solitude. I don't want to spoiler too much let's say that this movie could be considered a romantic sci fi story with some action linked to the spaceship problems and in some cases it's reminded me a bit Dawson Creek series where the two fiancé arguing..that's the part i enjoyed less i have to say. The movie it's well directed and in some cases there are shots that reminded my the film Moon. Great vfx and a great and really believable cast if you consider that all the movie it's based on less than five actors. So if you are looking for a truly sci fi movie or an action movie ..this one isn't fit the role, if you are looking to a sci fi /drama/ romantic/action movie so i would say something particular, you can enjoy this one, maybe if you are with your fiancé too. But do not considering to watch what a great movie let's say it's enjoyable without thinking to much but taking as it is 2 hours of entertainment

This movie it's quite strange, for the first 40 minutes seems a bad TV show..not a great direction, a bad photography and a bad storytelling. So i was close to quit, I resisted and I have to say that the second hour and half became little bit better. Director is able to put a bit of excitement on the part with the naval battle and the chariot race. Let's say that from the naval part on(that's the nicest and better done part of the film) the movie improves a little bit. I found completely inaccurate for the story and how they describe the roman empire that it's an empire based on conqueror right but more available with the conquered population than others ancient empire as Egyptian, Greek and so on. so describe the roman as monsters seems a little too much and not right. Cast it's a bit weak, OK for Morgan Freeman but the others main actor are unable to give a believable acting. So doing a little recap weak cast, bad direction photography and storytelling for the first hour, a little better in the second half..seems that the movie as been directed edited and photographed by 2 different team..And there are a lot of historical problems and inaccuracy. For the movie itself it deserve a 4 with the naval battle and chariot race it could obtain a 5

I think this movie deserve a seven, the cast works well, everyone is doing is part with inspiration and they feature well the main characters. Direction it's well done and photography and visual effects too. Action parts are thrilling and addictive. So there isn't a great lack of something in this movie..just minor lack that made it a decent/nice product without doing it a great movie. What I missed more is a background story for the magnificent seven..everyone just been involved but we can't have a really background explanation of the mains characters..it's a pity that let you little bit less attached to the main characters. I missed a lot a bit of Sergio Leone's style..in some case seems more a war movie than a western. I missed a lot the man to man gun duel with the right framing and timing. A little of the old Sergio Leone style at least on the main conflict could be great

Luke Cage is a Marvel series that means that you will find an hero or super hero with great powers that will fight against one or more villain. And that is a cliché for Marvel movie or series. What I found little bit different ,and I appreciated, about Luke Cage is that the hero doesn't want to be an hero, he just happened that he needs to take a position for what happen at Harlem. The series is well directed, you will notice a lot of shots where the environment that is behind the character means something ..add something to the character that is speaking in that moment. So well directed, nice cinematography and a well written script. The story is nice and it's well explained piece by piece during all the episodes , there are a lot of character personality changes and evolution so it's a good product well done. What i dislike of the series is: sometimes there are episode little boring with too much talk, Luke Cage seems too dumb, a little a muscle version of Forrest Gump in some situation like a stupid and slow giant. Alfre Woodard is definitely the most believable and great actor of the series, her character it's so well interpreted that you will find to hate her at the end of the series. Also Theo Rossi done well as Shades..not sure about Simone Missick, I mean she was great at the beginning of the series but her character became a little to childish and stupid at the end ( she start to collect some stupid action that changes the story in some important aspect) There is no link to other Marvel stuff until half of the series when Rosario Dawson came in and start to speak about other super hero..(daredevil) why? Why they have to put this character that was already on Daredevil? That was a bad mistake, first because if you watched Daredevil you understand that Rosario character doesn't fit at all with Cage , second she doesn't add anything..and she start to do exactly the same things she has done in the other series.. She try to help ..she fall in love with the hero..and so on. I have to say that i preferred Daredevil series, but also this one isn't bad

Ice it's a sci-fi mini series about a future glaciation due to an exploitation of the environment from the mankind. Let's say the story , the script could be interesting, absolutely nothing new but let's say it's the better part of this series. Let's say that on this series there is an actor like Sam Neill (the only one who works fine) and others that are like Claire Forlani (that are absolutely embarrassing as actress definitely better as a model Who doesn't have to speak) so the cast in general is quite terrible. The directing seems quite OK for very low profile series and sometimes it's definitely bad like a south American drama of the 90's. It's a Uk series and you can feel it simply because all the word it's concentrated into the Uk and seems that exists only the Uk, no other nations if you are not considering just the poor immigrants from the rest of the Europe that wants to reach the Uk haven. Come on colonialism finished some times ago, seems a London and Uk style of life commercial. But what bother me more than all it's simply the stupidity of a lots of situations. A couple of examples.. The big frost arrived and all the airport in the north Europe close down, well our heroes takes a small airplane from Iceland and they are able to fly to UK. There is less 40 Celsius degree and there are people dressed as a sunny day in winter..no gloves, no wool bonnet, no scarf..and sometimes they put just a jacket over a Tshirt and they are just above 10 meters of snow. Crazyness. Visual effects are from quite decent to bad but I can say that on this series they are last of the problem. A poor cast, a poor direction and a lot of stupid situations create a recipe for a bad series. Probably the worst i watched in the last years

Anthropoid is a movie about the Czechoslovak resistance during war war two, and is based on facts that really happened. During all the movie seams really to be in Prague in the 40's due to the attention to the details for both the set design and environment. Maybe is even better to Valkiria on that.

We can divide the movie in two part, the planning and execution of the operation Anthropoid and what's happen after. In the first part the two main character arrive in Prague and took contact with the local resistance the second part is based on the escape of the saboteurs. I don't want to spoiler too much about the plot of the movie and how is going to finish. I have to say that i really enjoyed the movie is really well directed and as I said there is really an attention to the detail. The cast works very well and I really appreciated the evolution of the character personality during the movie. I think that maybe in the first part you can miss a little the feeling to be in an occupied territory, the way of living of the saboteurs seems a little to easy and without any fear of the Germans. I feel it miss something that make you feel that. After the operation the movie change completely style and it moves to a war movie style with lot of action. Also this difference of style between before and after operation seems a little a pity. nevertheless this imperfection this movie is surely well done and deserve to be watched with pleasure.

Gods of Egypt is an ambitious movie that failed in some part to become a great movie. The story is set in an ancient Egypt where humans and gods lives together in peace, gods are venerated and have to do nothing than enjoy their lives because humans provide everything they need. Obviously it start a civil war between gods to gain the total power and use the humans as slave. I don't want to spoiler to much also because the story itself isn't so strong. Let's say that for the story they drew a lot to the Greek and roman myth. In what the movie failed to became a great movie? Well let's say that compared to others movies as 300 or Immortals it doesn't have a proper narrative style, it doesn't have ether a visual style. You can appreciate or not 300 and Immortals but in this movie I can see an effort from the director to give a proper version a proper style to the movie. Gods of Egypt is simply standard..no particular narrative or visual attempt to produce something new and proper. The cast works but also in this case the character are a bit flat the bad guys aren't so bad and the good one doesn't struggle to much during their journey. There is a massive use of visual effects that works well and sometimes they looks really really great . but in a couple of shot (when 2 of the main characters are trying to escape on a chariot) looks very poorly done(worst than a TV drama of the 90's) . So you can see clearly the different attention to the detail and the beauty of the works of the different visual effects vendors.

Butler is the bad guy and works well also if in most of the case he look like a school bully, Coaster-Waldau could add more drama and irony to his character, make is performance more deep, for Brenton Thwaites...well for his role they can choose directly another actor. There isn't a deep watch or an historical attention to the Egyptian society and costumes, for the movie they used only the real name of the Egyptian goods and these names more or less fit the shoes of the real tradition.. But no more than that. So in the end it's a movie you can enjoy if you are a teenager ( also for the story and the two teenage actors) for an adult there are too many lacks .. it's too easy. The classic Hollywood film with budget and visual effects that doesn't leave anything..like the second or the third films of Narnia.. So teenager and children will love it while the adults will get a little bored
