The Dresden Files: Pilot: Storm Front (2007)
Want to see the whole thing!
I really would love to see the entire two hours of Storm Front.
I am sorely disappointed that the Dresden Files seems to be on hiatus, because I have friends who wanted to see the show from the beginning and were disappointed that they would not be repeated this summer.
At the very least, I would like to see the full length of Storm From. Robert H. Wolfe has given me some of my favorite episodes of other shows, such as DS9. I want to watch what this script was like before it got chopped in half.
This is a really good show, and I am certain that it will draw a loyal and diverse audience of intelligent and employed folks, just the sort who buy the things sponsors sell.... So, Sci-Fi Channel, COME ON!

Dresden Files is Magic
The important thing for fans of the Books to know is that this is Harry in an alternate universe. If you go in expecting to see renditions faithful to the books, you will be disappointed. Many things in the books would not translate well, and the author, rather than give into to cheesiness, has opted to change many elements of the story.
In my mind this is all the better, I get fresh new perspectives, and I don't need to hear from other fans saying things like, "hey, page sixty in book one said..." That said, the casting of Harry and especially of Bob and the chemistry between them is excellent.
It is a shame that the shows have been shown out of order, and that (to date) only the one hour version of Storm Front has been shown (it was filmed to be two hours and did suffer from bad editing.) I think if viewers give this show a little time to find its footing, and give themselves a chance to understand what is going on, they will find themselves with something satisfying to look forward to on Sunday night.
If you don't need your fiction spoon fed to you, and you like dialog that is fast and smart and layered, give the Dresden Files a try.
