Silent Horror (2006)
oh yeah...
The thing that my colleague "meh" forgot to mention, is one of the main things that make a horror movie truly intense. The music. The soundtrack for this particular film was created by Dale North. When Rory O'Boyle was presented with the music done by Dale, his only reply was, "we need to make this movie better". Dale took a good lesson from giants such as John Carpenter, Marco Beltrami, and John Williams- all masters of being able to properly set the mood with their music, and adding to the suspense exponentially. True, the movie itself is not that scary, but more of a tribute to the fans of the survival horror genre. The main characteristic of that genre, same as a good horror flick, is the music. In my personal opinion Dale North has successfully re-written the book set forth by the Resident Evil, and Silent Hill video games. Good work guys - can't wait for Resident Horror!
