I think there is no one with the physical, emotional and sexual energy that marlon brando has.It is so overwhelmingly intense that neither men nor women can resist. In addition, Last Tango In Paris is the greatest study of extreme sexual behavior ever shown in cinema history.IT WILL MAKE YOUR HAIR STAND ON END!!!

THEY DON'T MAKE WESTERNS LIKE THIS ANYMORE!!!!
11 December 2001
Warning: Spoilers
Marlon Brando's performance in this film was exemplary. This is a story about a group of banditos who raided Matt Fletcher's (Brando) ranch left him for dead and stole his appaloosa. Brando stalks the thieves obsessed with getting his beloved horse. The rest of the film shows Fletcher's struggles with the thieves in a succession of action packed showdowns.

This is one of my favorite westerns. Brando was serious, courageous and determined. He is a great character actor who can adapt to almost any role and play it well. This is Brando at the top of his game.

They don't make films like this anymore. The movie was well cast and very genuine and realistic. If you like westerns, this is one you shouldn't miss

A Superb Example of Classic Movie Making!
11 December 2001
Nominated for seven academy awards [1962] including Best Picture, "this spectacular movie of grandeur and intimacy, sex and humor, cruelty and nobility" (The Hollywood Reporter) stars two-time best actor winner Marlon Brando (The Godfather, On the Waterfront) as Fletcher Christian, a high-born English aristocrat and elegant gentleman turned Naval Lieutenant and able first officer, whose honor is inseparable from his humanity. Also in an impeccable performance, Trevor Howard's steely, sadistic Captain William Bligh commands by contempt, as malevolent toward his officers as to the crew he tortures. In idyllic Tahiti, exquisitely captured by Academy Award winner (Best Cinematography) Robert L. Surtees, Christian is seduced by Miamiti. She is portrayed by "enchanting Tarita, a 19 year-old native whose swaying hips find their own varying levels of audience appreciation." (Daily Variety). "Mr. Brando's steel-spring vigor when the patience of Fletcher Christian snaps and he whiplashes into the fateful incitement of mutiny is truly electrifying." (New York Times)

Complete with furious storms at sea, exotic native ceremonies, magnificent South Pacific island scenery, 6000 Tahitian extras, and a larger-than-life performance by the legendary Brando, this remake of the 1935 original Mutiny on the Bounty is one of the most exciting and visually astonishing adventures ever made. "A superb blending of direction [Lewis Milestone], photography and special effects" (Variety) this movie became an instant classic and still lives to this day as the best rendition of the re-telling of this true story. Very rich in visual imagery and complimented by a mesmerizing original music score (Bronislau Kaper), this film features some of the best dialogue and character portrayals of recent memory (too many to name here, but worthy of note is Hugh Griffith, Richard Harris, and Noel Purcell). Truly a classic in the true sense of the word, and a must see film for all connoisseurs of fine movie making! A superb motion picture! Excellent!

BEST WESTERN EVER MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
11 December 2001
This is true spellbinding stuff. A Great story, depicting the sad tale of "Rio" (Marlon Brando) and his quest to get even with the evil Dad Longworth (Karl Maldon) for the betrayal of some stolen lute, friendship and trust. The one an only film directed by Marlon Brando, is a film of epic proportions, that twists and turns until you feel eventual sympathy with the "Rio" character, after all the nastiness of the ill fated outlaw he once was. Excellently shot using panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop, a stirring film score, taught direction, A moody and magnificent Marlon Brando, The sultry Pina Pellicer, (who sadly died shortly after the film) A rousing story...and I just love the script, This film has it all. A follow up would have been super, but alas it wasn't to be. So sit back and enjoy "One Eyed Jacks", and don't let the critic books put you off. So go on! Make that saturday night special watch this movie now!

BRANDO'S MASTERPIECE
11 December 2001
Personally, I think Sayonara was the greatest movie he ever made. It touched every emotion from anger to romance to complete tragedy. And Brando should have won for best actor. Anyway, the movie is awesome, the man is attractive to BOTH MEN AND WOMEN and now you have no reason not to see it! Do so, and fall in love.

Julius Caesar (1953)
MARLON BRANDO IS COMPLETELY CAPTIVATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
11 December 2001
It is seldom that one can, with a certain determination, conviction and ultimately resolve say that one actor steals an entire movie; however, in the case and point of this movie, i.e., Julius Caesar VHS ~ Marlon Brando, this is the case. Brando shows maturity, range and ability that is normally and conventionally not in the grasp of an actor of this young age and experience when it comes to the art, profession and craft of acting. His oration at the funeral is well on par with that of Charlton Hestons in the 1970 edition. To imagine that a man, nay, a boy of merely 28 years of age had this ability and range at such a tender age is beyond comprehension. He, i.e., Mr. Brando justly deserved the Oscar nomination and in a more perfect, he would have received it. The battle scenes are ferocious in nature and they do not glorify war or the act of the kill. ... Mr. Brando.... "You, yes you, set the bar for young actors to meet and so far no one has been able to show the same talent at the same age

A CLASSIC!!!!!!
11 December 2001
Fred Zinnemann finally came up with a script that Marlon Brando liked enough to leave the stage and head for Hollywood. And the rest is history. That script turned out to be The Men. Brando is Bud, a paraplegic shot in WWII and recovering in a veterans hospital. Unfortunately there is no hope for Bud ever walking again, a fact he refuses to accept. This movie is an interesting character study. Brando shows here why he would become the most influential actor of the last century. He brilliantly depicts a man at tremendous odds with himself. The supporting cast of characters, Teresa Wright(Bud's love interest), the doctors, and the men in the hospital, are well cast. Fans of character driven dramas and Brando fans should get a kick out of this film.
