Slow Bob in the Lower Dimensions (1991)
A Great Showcase of Talent
With 'Slow-Bob', originially airing on MTV, Selick shows off his considerable talents not just with stop motion animation(of which he uses several differing techniques), but also with storytelling. Using a minimum of words and innovative integration of live action and animation, he creates a miniature universe of his own. Unfortunately, MTV no longer showcases the work of talented artists such as Selick, but you can find this short on one of the 'Liquid Television' compila
Hard Rock Zombies (1984)
It just keeps getting better.
Many people don't appreciate this movie's charm. Those people are not true z-grade movie conossieurs. When Zombie Hitler isn't even the beginning of your plot twists, you know you're on to something great.
Fast-forward through the overlong townspeople sequence, and go straight for the undead concert featuring the rockin' 'Necronomicon' and wistful ballad 'Cassie'. The latter was written for an underaged local lass with a bad habit of running directly towards zombie hoardes. Oh, and for some reason Eva Braun's a werewolf, and then she becomes a zombie werewolf.
