The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: The Dancing Lessons (1961)
"One, Two, Cha Cha Cha."
This was a hilarious episode of Ozzie and Harriet to watch. Again Ozzie and Joe get themselves into trouble and the results are hilarious.

Ozzie and Joe are relieved at first but then wonder why the girls don't want them at the dance? Perhaps they need to brush up on the cha cha cha and get some lessons in order for their wives to want them to be there?
They end up starting with teaching each other in the garage from a book. After David and Ricky walk in and tease them, Ozzie and Joe decide to take lessons from a professional.
Great episode from start to finish.

The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: Our Man in Alaska (1961)
"Today our man in Alaska informs us..."
This was an intriguing episode of Ozzie and Harriet full of mystery and who is Our Man in Alaska.
It was good to see a mystery on a show that is normally light-hearted. It still is though and the mystery is done very tastefully in keeping with the theme of the show.
Rick, David, Wally, Fred, and the other boys are setting up a ping pong in the basement of the fraternity house. There they begin to share some secrets with each other. Wally tells the other guys at the fraternity not to tell Ginger that he was that the fraternity studying Saturday night. David asks him if he was at the movies with the girl he met at the library. Wally confirms that he was and asked him not to tell anybody. Fred tells everybody that he's going to pin his girlfriend Sally sometime in the future. These are all secrets that they don't want any of the guys to share.
Sometime later Wally comes back to the fraternity house. He was supposed to have a meeting with Ginger but she never showed up. He waited for her for a half an hour but she was a no-show. David comes in with a copy of the school newspaper and says that there's an article in there about him. It is in Katie's Corner a gossip column. It's titled Our Man in Alaska. Here Wally finds out that the secret of him going out with another girl behind Ginger's back is now printed in the paper. Fred pinning his girlfriend's Sally also made it into the paper as well. Thus Begins the search for who could be telling Katie these secrets about the fraternity.
This was a great episode to watch. It was very funny and I loved that there was a mystery as to who this person was. Definite change of pace for the show but it was very good to watch.

One is having a baby and the other had a mambo lesson this week. Ozzie tells her that he doesn't like it because it seems that they are always asking her to do something extra.
The boys come home with curtains from the fraternity house and ask Harriet if she can wash them. She agrees because the lady who was supposed to couldn't because she had to go bowling. Ozzie is not happy because he feels that Harriet is getting taken advantage of.

Ozzie is upset because he feels once again that Harriet is doing more than what she should. When Ozzie gets to the school he chickens out and cannot tell the ladies. Of course he cannot go back until Harriet that he failed so he has to find an act that will replace her to entertain the kids.
This was another fun episode to watch not necessarily one of their better ideas but it was still a good one.

Talking with Darby has renewed Ozzie's interest and his determination to build the barbecue. Ozzie decides that that is what he would like to display at the hobby show.

This was a good episode to watch and it aired just a few days before Ricky Nelson's actual birthday.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: Extra Sensory Perception (1961)
"Yeah, Exdisaspeder Subscription"
This was truly a fine episode to watch. It was well written, there were plenty of gags worthy of the series. I could watch this episode over and over again.
Ozzie has been roped into another lecture at the Women's Club with Harriet and Clara. (Joe is at a business meeting). The subject is Extra Sensory Perception or ESP for short. The guest speaker talks about how it works and that women are more likely than men to have it. This sparks the competition between husbands and wives. Are Ozzie and Joe or Harriet and Clara the ones with the greater Extra Sensory Perception?
Truly a wonderful episode to watch. Always love Ozzie and Joe together.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: Selling Rick's Drums (1961)
"Maybe she's a drummer."
The eternal triangle rears it's head again this time between Dave and Ricky a story not often used.
Dave and Rick happen upon a beautiful girl that they run into on campus at school. They have no idea who she is or what her name is. Later Dave and Bruce see the girl post something on the campus bulletin board. They discover that her name is Betty and that she is looking to buy some good used drums. Dave decides that he can meet this girl by having Ricky sell his drums.
Convincing Ricky with going along with the idea is going to be tricky without letting him know what's going on.
This was a decent enough episode to watch. I'm not too fond of watching love triangles. It's not a bad episode it's still a good episode to watch but I enjoy watching other episodes of the series.

They open it and discover it is a pen and pencil set.
The long process of trying to figure out who gave them a pen and pencil set for Christmas begins. Ozzie and Harriet begin to subtly ask their friends while Dave and Ricky think about who gave them the gift.
A nice light hearted episode from start to finish and a pleasure to watch.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: A Question of Suits and Ties (1961)
"Never underestimate the stubbornness of a man"
This was a good episode of Ozzie and Harriet that chronicled the change of the times.
Our story begins with Fred, Wally and Rick playing football in beat up old clothes. Their girlfriends come by and see them playing. They ask if the fraternity party is still on and the boys confirm it is. They tell the girls it is very informal and they can wear whatever they want. The girls take offense to this and that's when David makes his untimely appearance. He is wearing a suit and tie for work. This prompts the girls to lament that the boys don't dress up for their dates anymore.
The girls get together and inform the boys that they will not go on anymore dates with them unless they wear a white shirt, tie, and a dark suit at certain locations. Other locations call for at least a white shirt and tie with appropriate outer attire for the occasion.
The boys won't budge and decide to continue to dress poorly until the girls give in.
It was a good episode to watch and fun to see how it does end.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: The Little House Guest (1961)
"Whoever heard of a boy named Betty?"
Barry Martin comes by to see Ozzie with a bit of news. His mother is going to have a baby! Strange he didn't mention that in the previous episode he was on? (Two Small Boys and a Dog)
Barry is really hoping that he is going to have a baby brother instead of a baby sister. Barry's father stops by and Harriet offers to have Barry stay overnight sometime. His father asks if they could watch Barry while he takes his wife to the hospital. They agree and the Nelsons prepare for their little house guest.
Ozzie is brilliant in this episode and is perfect for this situation. It was delightful to watch this unfold.

"Don't get stuck in the cement"
Dave, Ricky and their girlfriends are out on a picnic with the girls' brothers. They are having a nice time when a lost dog interrupts their picnic. The girl's brothers, Barry and Steve, are instantly enthralled with the dog.

After a week with the ad in the paper, there has been no reply. So Barry and Steve come to David to ask who should get to keep the dog. Dave tells them they should see a lawyer and the boys go to see Mr. Kelley.
Mr. Kelley turns the case over to Dave and he has to make the difficult decision of who gets the dog.
This was a fun episode to watch as everyone had their own opinion on who should get the dog but as always it has a twist ending.

It is the first baby to be born to the fraternity while Dave is in college. He has been appointed to be the chairman to find the baby a present.
Rick comes in with the news about a car, called a Buckingham. It appears that Wally has thinking about buying an Old English car. One thing leads to another and Dave and Ricky end up being the ones who buy the car. It doesn't get very good gas mileage and the boys begin to wonder if they've bought a white elephant.
It was a cute episode to watch. This is such a light-hearted and entertaining show to watch and this is another good episode.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: The Little Black Box (1959)
"This is one of the trickiest football plays I've ever seen"
This episode was a part of The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, favorite memories. This is another classic must-see episode.
It starts off with Joe and Ozzie coming home from bowling. Joe tells Ozzie that Clara will ask why why he didn't call her so she could hear the pins drop. Ozzie says that being curious is just part of being a woman. He says that as they walk in and Clara and Harriet over here them. They obviously are offended and say that men are just as curious as women.
The girls scheme to create a black box in order to catch the man into asking what it is about thereby proving their argument. Ozzie and Joe are going to fall for it at least not so easily yet. It becomes a battle between husbands and wives as they can see who can break first.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: The Full House (1959)
"You've got termites all right."
There are problems at the fraternity house where Dave and Ricky attend. They had to bring in an expert in to figure out what it was and the experts diagnosis was termites. Now everybody that lives at the fraternity has to find a place to stay while the fraternity house is fumigated.
At the Nelson household, Ozzie and Harriet are preparing for a weekend vacation up in the mountains with Doc Williams. Ozzy is not too keen on the idea and wishes he could spend his weekend doing something else.
The boys return home and inform them that the fraternity is shut down due to termites. They ask if they can have some of the fellas from there stay at their house while repairs are being made. Ozzie and Harriet agree and prepared to host.
This is what Ozzy was hoping for and he calls Doc Williams and cancels their weekend plans. Wally stops by with more guys from the fraternity and asked if they can stay with the Nelson's. Soon the entire fraternity is at the Nelson household and Ozzie and Harriet are busy taking care of a bunch of college men.
It was a fun episode to watch and it was brilliant how Ozzie followed through by having all of their extras for the fraternity able to appear in this episode. It was a nice bit of continuity to see. This was a great episode to watch.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: Rick's Broken Arm (1961)
"Florence Nightingale and a couple of her friends are here to console you."
Here is another example of a classic episode of Ozzie and Harriet.
Wally is in trouble with Ginger again. He needs Dave to help him out with an alibi and wants him to be seen with him when Ginger goes by. Dave of course is naturally suspicious as he doesn't trust Wally. Wally tells him that the only catch is that he has to have his arm in a sling. Dave refuses and walks away, Rick pops up and sells Wally that this sounds interesting. Wally decides that Rick will do instead of Dave.
Jack, a medical student, puts Rick's arm in a cast and Wally and Rick head out to find Ginger. Ginger catches on quickly and tells Wally that she thought it was Dave that Wally was with. She also confronts Wally with the fact that he said Dave's leg was broken not his arm. Since The Alibi didn't work she storms off and and Wally decides that it's time for Rick to go to get the cast off.
Well on his way he runs into his girlfriend Janet who asks how he is feeling and is concerned that he has appeared to have broken his arm. Rick decides to go with it and pretends that he has broken his arm to get some sympathy from Janet.
The complications arise after they go and see Doc Williams to get the cast off and Janet has already told all the girls at the fraternity that Rick has broken his arm.
The writers deliver yet another fresh and inventive episode for the series. It was really delightful to watch.

"You Made a Hole in One... On Your Second Ball"
Wally competes with the Nelson men for the attention of another pretty girl.
Our story begins with Dave and Wally out at the golf course wrapping up a game of golf. Dave is having a bad game and Wally isn't doing better. When they tee up for this next hole, Wally goes first.
When it comes to Dave, he hits the ball and it goes off and loses it. Wally tells him to play another ball but Dave tells him he doesn't have another ball. Wally gives Dave one of his and Dave tees up again. This time when Dave hits the ball he gets a hole in one!
The boys are ecstatic and when they return home, they tell Ozzie, Harriet, and Ricky. Ricky tells Dave he should publish that story in the school newspaper.
At the malt shop, they meet Susan, who is the editor for the school newspaper and she is a very beautiful girl. Dave decides he will write a story.
This was a cute episode and it features Wally and Ginger together and the nature of their relationship which is always fun to watch. This was another entertaining episode to watch.

"Never Send a Boy on a Woman's Errand"
The master of getting things mixed up and confused strikes again. No, not Clara, but Ozzie.
Things have been going well lately for Dave at the law office. Mr. Kelley is out of town and Dave says there isn't a lot of pressure at the office. While the ladies think of ways, Ozzie decides to take Harriet out for dinner instead.
When they return, they find Clara at their house with an important message from Mr. Kelley. He is at Rippawam Valley and wants Dave to have some important papers for him in the morning.
Ozzie and Harriet don't know where David is, only that he is out on a date. A mad scramble to find him ensues.
This was an entertaining episode to watch right until the end. I love watching this show.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: The Boys' Portraits (1961)

Diane, a beautiful painter, walks by and says hi to Wally. Rick and Fred are impressed by the sight of Diane. They go over to meet her and she shows them some of her paintings. She tells them she wishes to paint a portrait of someone and Fred and Wally volunteer. She seems to be more interested in Rick and asks to paint his portrait.
He agrees and she paints a beautiful portrait of him. When he takes it home, Ozzie and Harriet think maybe they should have one of David.
It was a great episode to watch and it was full of twists until the end. Bravo to the writers for this one.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: The Costume Dance (1959)
It is a fantasy
This was a cute episode of Ozzie and Harriet. Ozzie has been wanting to change up the way the Men's Club has their dances. This year he wants to have a costume party for something different. The rest of the Men's Club aren't too sure about the idea. They go so far as to make sure Ozzie isn't at the meeting by not telling him about it. Clara of course is the one to spill the beans to Ozzie and he gets upset and rushes out to the meeting.
At the meeting the rest of the men placate Ozzie into thinking that they will have a costume party instead.
Overall it was a light hearted episode as is the case with this series.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: Always a Bridegroom (1959)
Kids getting married awfully young these days
A cute episode that was addressing the trend of the late 50s of "kids" getting married young.
Dave it seems is going out with a girl named Betty according to Ozzie and Harriet. Recently he has been invited to a newly weds house for dinner with Betty and his friend George. Ozzie and Harriet then think that the married couple must be trying to convince David and Betty to get married. After all why would they invite them for dinner?
They remember when they were young and first married. Ozzie remembers Harriet's cooking and thinks Dave isn't in for a very good meal which prompts a remark from Harriet.
This was a good episode to watch and deals with the issue that the boys are growing up and will someday get married. That's what made this show so unique. There was character growth as all the characters got older.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: The Treasurer's Son (1959)
"Then someone makes the motion that I'm the best treasurer..."
The Treasurer's son, Ricky Nelson. Ozzie gives us a great episode continuing his story of being the treasurer for the Men's Club. This comes with a twist as this is about Ricky helping Wally who is the treasurer for the fraternity.
Wally has been struggling with the books and the fraternity assigns Ricky to help Wally out. They have just put in a new hot water heater for the fraternity house and also have been planning an upcoming dance.
Ricky decides to ask the Men's Club for a space to rent so they can hold the dance. He goes to Ozzie for the details and gets a spot for the Boys and the dance.
This was a funny episode and as mentioned earlier, it reminded us that Ozzie is still stuck being the treasurer.

"You can't blame a guy for being a little jealous."
This story covers misunderstandings and jealousy. We start off with Zeke in trouble with his girlfriend, Connie. He thought that she was out with another guy when she was really just sick. There is another misunderstanding and now Ricky is in trouble with Betty.
This was a funny episode and it was good to watch.
