This show have everything, totally worth ur time!
19 April 2024
Whoa. This one starts off weird and a bit disjointed. Like a dark comedy that is trying too hard. And then...it gets DEEP. Real, raw, human deep. If only a tiny part of you relates to what the characters feel, it will still hit you hard. The performances are PHENOMENAL. This is not the easiest show to watch, but is really worth it. I came away not knowing how to feel about the story, but I certainly feel impressed by the quality of this series. Masterful performances. Have not stopped thinking about it. A series to redefine what we mean by TV excellence. Laughed. Cried. Got angry. Cried some more. Absolutely fantastic. What an amazing series.

I enjoyed a lot !

Excellent. The filmography and styling of the shots is first class. Really well acted and draws you right in. One of the best things we have seen for a while. Production very slick and great story variant on the original Highsmith The main character was very well developed in a mixture of Shakespeare's Macbeth and Hitchcock's Psycho. All scenes and dialogue are relevant to the evolution of the story. The story itself is childish, because, well, that's the silly teenage book story. However, the scenes don't romanticize what's happening, showing how stressful and laborious it is to kill someone.

It's Exceeded my expectations!

An amazing adaptation of an incredible book series. I really enjoyed the seamless introduction of new characters and the intricate hints and foreshadowing woven throughout the season. Watching this world spring to life on screen, while evoking the same emotions as the books, has been incredible to experience again. I cannot wait to see how they go about adapting in future seasons, as what is too come is unbelievable in size and scope, expanding upon thought-provoking themes of humanity and our cosmic existence that lies ahead. The next season is going to blow people's minds, if Netflix decide to renew and I really hope they do !

What a Perfect balance between drama and action
10 March 2024
This is how you make high quality show. I cant really believe its only 8.4 here and 72% on rotten tomatoes by "EXPERTS"...What a refreshment from all the garbage pondering. The cinematography, the MUSIC ...oh the MUSIC...The sound, the scenery...dialogues. I know its labeled as comedy but the comedy is so subtle and dark that this cant be described as comedy. Some people might not get all the analogies and allegories but Guy Ritchie blew me away with this one. There is hope for cinematography. I even went back and rewatched the first episode again - just to re-bathe in the glory of 'those' two scenes. Spectacular. Thank you for this masterpiece.

Best show of the year!
23 February 2024
A great way to adapt a series that is the absolute GOAT. Some changes are weird and some feel super natural. It takes quite a few creative liberties in regards to the original but in my opinion that only ads to the show. I was worried in the beginning that they would either stray far from the original or just make a carbon copy and ij both cases I would have asked: what is the point of this show. But they really surprised me. They changed juet enough to make it super fresh and not too much so that we still recognise it as an adaptation. I really don't care what people thinking about this , but I absolutely loved it ! Bravo !

My Favorite New Show!
13 February 2024
Fantastic series. Extremely well rounded. A solid storyline that carries through until the last episode. Some violence and gore, but not as serious as an Underbelly series. Plenty of feel good moments, and the series makes you think a lot, but it's not drawn out. Keeps you hooked through the whole series, but you don't get bored. I found there was no flat, boring spots. The producers have done an amazing job on this mini series, honestly one of the best Aussie mini series i have seen in a very long time. Corruption, greed, violence, and gangsters, without being a gore fest. The main criminal in this series isn't pushed in your face constantly, but you always remember he is in the backround, and he is seriously evil. This show is 100% watcher for anyone that loves a solid Aussie gangster show, with a good mixture of storyline and not just straight violence. I almost aliked it to a mini series of Two Hands the movie. Very well done indeed!

Well Made adaptation to the book
13 February 2024
For a series that has reached fandom and failure in other mediums (book and movie), this is by far the most surprising version to hit you deep in the feels. I started watching on a bored whim and I was hooked with ep 1. I did not know the story and was absolutely taken in by the characters. Ambika Mod was absolutely stunning, STUNNING as the lead. I don't know that I'll watch the movie version because Emma will never be an Anne Hathaway type for me --- ever!! Leo Woodall brings nuance and passion to a role that could have been cast by any "cute blonde stud of the moment" and I'm grateful he was the choice. Overall great series that I recommend to any hopeless romantic.

Surprisingly Very Good Show !
10 January 2024
This is a very funny and a rather accurate take on the Asian American experience albeit in an exaggerated violent way . Michelle Yeoh and the cast is very likable and the action scenes are great. Perfectly entertainining show with some great homages to Asian cinema and inspired family dynamics , The dinosaurs. I haven't laughed that hard in a while. There is a lot of sometimes subtle, sometimes childish humor . Loved it . I thought all the leads did a great job, not just Michelle.

Fingers crossed for Season 02 . A show this good deserves it , Such a great surprise. Definitely worth binging!!.

I think It's Just Me
24 December 2023
You know, I'm a fan of many movies and many directors, but most of all I'm a fan of good stories and good characters. This has both. Sure, there are some issues with battle scene slow motion (which personally I think can detract from the chaos and intensity of battle) but it's a minor niggle if the story works. It's also refreshing to have a story not beset by a big studio "message" or pandering to be relevant in today's society and just being a story. It's a traditional story about empire stomping on those that it claims to protect, the things that real world rebellions have been caused by, but it's an enjoyable ride along with a band of characters and protagonists that left me wanting to see a) the next chapter and b), the extended r-rated version.

Yu Yu Hakusho (2023)

Don't listen to the haters
24 December 2023
First of all people need to understand that not every adaptation need to be scene by scene. The point from adapting is that people will know more about Yu Yu Hakusho , and they will go to watch the anime. That's a big win to original anime, So calm down every one .

In my PoV, Along side One Piece, another successful live adaptation . I honestly don't have too much of a recollection watching YYH when I was younger but the story was laid out pretty well, the character portrayals were good, and the fact that they still made it feel like an anime is what sold it for me. The fights we're extremely well done, felt like you were watching a Jackie Chan movie with extremely good CGI. Extremely enjoyable first season, looking forward for the second.

I Want More!
23 November 2023
A great spin-off of a beloved franchise. Takes Off brings something new to the series by switching the narrative to Ramona's point of view. The animation is like reading the comics with hand-drawn effect, colorful scenery and effects. It has everything that people loved from the franchise with a lot of retro-gaming Easter eggs, absurd humor, hilarious characters, good pop-rock songs, and even the cast of the movie reprises their role as voice actor. I really like to give Ramona Flowers the first role, as not only she's fun to follow but also because it gives her a more to show than "this perfect alternative girl that makes people turns madly in love with", presenting her flaws even helps to give some humanity to her evil exes. Because of the absurd humor, there is a lot of "this happens, don't ask questions", people looking for a minimum of logic would see plot holes everywhere but if you are just there for the ride, it's a wild one.

Underrated !
6 November 2023
This an absolute masterpiece of anime, the world of animation and storytelling. Everything about this series is perfection; the details of animation and sounds; the profound themes and complex plot. What is absolutely amazing about Pluto, is the fact that they just didn't simply drop Astroboy in episode 1; instead, they built up to that moment in which the most perfect robot appears. In the meantime, parallel stories and characters are introduced, full of drama and power, filling this anime anime with a great storytelling, effects and deeply emotional burdens . A must watch!

I hope there's more to come.

Don't Listen To Bad Reviews
6 November 2023
Not sure why this gets poor ratings. Very confused as to the bad reviews on this. I read the book years ago when it was published but forgot a lot of the plot , So the story was mainly fresh to me.

Books and movies/shows are completely different mediums and you can't go into a movie expecting a book. Of course they have to say their motivation sometimes, the author cannot write it out for you. The acting is excellent and the story is wonderfully written. Some things are a little rushed through and I'd love for it to be expanded a little, but it's only 4 episodes. !. The only annoying thing were the accents.... Ruffalo's french accent and Hugh Laurie's rather British one were off.

Another Banger From Netflix !
6 November 2023
Best animated series of 2023, amazing story and characters, amazing design and animation. Well developed and almost never disappointing. Only misses on last episode battle, totally nonsense (seems they tried to oversimplify) and on timing in general, every event connected only few days from one another doesn't make sense. Characters seems teleporting and every time meeting exactly who they are looking for (how the hell they found the sword father for instance?). Mizu skills with the sword are not really well explained, how she became so strong? I assume wil be explained better in future. Anyhow, fantastic, only second to Arcane.

Why The Low Rating ?!
27 October 2023
Intricate and Immersive. Intricate story line with excellent acting. I really enjoyed the whole thing from start to finish. Its a combination of a period drama, present day show and a sci-fi series. The watcher must give the show time to develop as the first episode can take some adjusting with the fast changing timelines - it is definitely not as sure that you can glance away for a few minutes and expect a pick up where you left off. Once the show got underway, I could barely wait to start the next episode with every episode ending with a cliffhanger. The drama is very immersive, and it is a shame that its a limited series and no more will be produced, but I hope to see more of this kind of thing in the future.

Great show
18 October 2023
Mike Flanagan has made his most masterful horror miniseries thus far, adapting not just "The Fall of the House of Usher" but many of Poe's short stories into a well-conceived, edge of your seat horror fest. Even knowing that death is looming for all of these heathens, the cleverness, gore, and frights make each episode's impending doom incredibly entertaining. Carla Gugino is having so much fun being sinister and her performance is just as fun for us. It's so wonderful to see this ensemble turn in very different characters in each of Flanagan's limited series. I can't wait to see what's next..

HOLLY MOLLY!!
31 August 2023
They finally did it! The live action curse has been lifted! One piece is a fun, adventures and jolly good time. You cant help but root for luffy and his dough eyed optimism. The cast did a wonderful job embodying the characters and retaining what made them amazing characters in the first place there charm there faults and there hilarious quirks. The action was amazing and most importantly FUN. It felt new and fresh and whacky and whimsical in all the good ways! The great pirate Era has indeed started.

Of course, not all scene are there. Just like ang the manga and the anime differ. But i like the closeness of the adaptation to anime and manga. Anime and realism sont totally mix. Im totally enjoying it.

Netflix hidden gem of the year!
15 June 2023
I watched this one with my dad who was always kept complimenting about the action scenes, and rightfully so! Those well-done fights were what got us hooked in the first place but after finishing i can say everything else is amazing too.

The leads have really good chemistry and portray a nice friendship, the others characters to keep track of kinda threw me off at first but it's normal for the beginning and the plot is interesting enough to really make you wanna keep watching.

A surprisingly good show, specially if you're into awesome action sequences and charismatic main characters chasing the bad guys!

Unexpected!

Fantastic! 'The "Drive to Survice" of sumo wrestling.

Stick with it.

The tone and tempo are not as subtle as Korean dramas or Yakuza honour flicks, but the character development works well over the eight episodes,,the plot evolves and surprises, The story tells a compelling story about people you learn to really care about. That alone led me to watch the show in two days. The series artfully guides you through the world of sumo and the privileges and struggles the individuals endure. Season two can't come fast enough , season two MUST BE MADE...please....go watch it everybody, A great rainy day binge watch.

I want more !!
25 April 2023
The first two episodes have done a great job of setting up the characters and leaving a lot of room to tell some great stories. Keri Russell is a force to be reckoned with and an amazing actress!.

I couldn't stop watching it. If Netflix will not make a second season I need Deborah Cahn to sell it to someone else or write a book!!! I thought the acting was brilliant and to see politics from an other angle was special and interesting. Especially because I didn't know much about what an ambassador would be doing. Almost perfect --writing is very clever, acting is awesome as is directing....best new series on Netflix.

Absolutely beautiful
8 April 2023
The series was something else, Such a unique with so much to unpack. Performances are exquisite to say the least and the symbolism-galore of every episode is what I enjoyed as a narrative-lover. And the escalation on the last two episode was just wild. The last episode was also extraordinary and peak cinema and award winning worthy, the raw emotions and the absolute down to earth conversations , Great acting and never a dull moment. Was not predictable and has a little bit of every genre.

Incredibly well written, produced.

Emmy noms for Ali Wong and Steven Yeun! ... till the last min was just wild just wow.

I really enjoyed!
23 November 2022
Tim Burton's Wednesday is pure dark magic, and it's fantastic to watch. - Yes, I'm actually quoting another franchise, but it has to be said: "I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet. But your kids are gonna love it. Just a very entertaining watch buoyed by an incredibly magnetic performance by Jenna Ortega ... mark my words this girl is the future of Hollywood. While the show may not appeal to all, it's witty script and compelling mysteries should boost Netflix's 'Wednesday' to potentially becoming a cult classic. Without a doubt one of the best things Netflix has released in a while.

Definitely recommend.
