Willard (1971)
This is fun to watch.
This movie, Willard, is so fun to watch. The rat scenes early on in the movie are adorable, the kill scenes with the rats are campy and great. Willard is such an interesting character. It´s not for everybody, its an old campy horror movie but boy did I have a fun time watching it. The film is PG, which really holds it back on the violence. Despite what the top review said, this IS high art and deserves a watch.
My Friend Dahmer (2017)
Pretty good.
This film is about Jeffery Dahmer and his time in high school. The acting by Ross Lynch was actually really great. His portrayal of young Jeffery Dahmer was amazing and he was definitely the best part of the film. The performance of Alex Wolff is also really good, especially in the end where he is terrified of Dahmer. The worst parts of this film is the school scenes. This is where I laughed the most, not at Dahmer, but at the terrible dialogue. The fake freakouts are hilariously uncomfortable. It´s a good watch but boy can it be uncomfortable.
Al filo del hacha (1988)
Oh my god
This movie was so boring. I literally yawned about a hundred times watching it. The only real highlights were the kill scenes. (That weren't that good anyway). The acting throughout the film was alright, although.i did like the end. Well, i liked the end until the terrible credit music turned on. The music throughout was 90% garbage and doesn't help the movie at all. Don´t watch this. It isn´t a classic.
The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1976)
Mediocre but really funny
This film is an early slasher film about the real events that happened in Texarkana in 1946. The main highlight for me is the cinematography, especially with the slow mo used near the end of the film. Some of the scenes in the movie are unintentionally really funny, with the trombone knife scene being a personal highlight.
Goodfellas (1990)
Amazing story and execution
This movie keeps you entertained the whole way through. Martin Scorsese and his crew do an excellent job at capturing the feeling of a true gangster movie. It´s truly near perfection in my eyes. Very rewatchable and a great use of your time. So many quotables and so many amazing scenes. The definition of a classic.
