Somebody Feed Phil (2018)
Why the Politics in Season 7
Wife and I absolutely loved the first 6 seasons. Season 7 was a bit of a disappointment. We honestly got tired of the constant political interruptions that were not so openly present before. I just wish that there was some sort TV made that would be a reprieve from the whole ordeal.
This used to be this show. Just a happy man, traveling places, eating food and sharing food. I just hope that the next season is better. It's sad because even writing this I have to extremely careful how it's worded in order to avoid it being removed.
That being said, the episodes that are outside of the US were very enjoyable in season 7. In the future maybe we just end up skipping the US.
Gangs of London (2020)
Season 1 vs Season 2
Season 1 maybe one of the best pieces of cinema done in TV show history. Season 2 is, boring/cliche. In fact the only part of season 2 I find remotely interesting is that Sean returned. The rest feels like a Series of Unfortunate Events but British. After Sean returns I was pushing for him to takeover. For all the "I'm going to burn this city to the ground" to take off. In all honesty, I was hoping for a Ragnar style of take over. Instead, he's just violating his family code, and making friends with the enemy.
If this was American politics, I would understand little more. However it's a show, that has lot of plot twists, but remains quite boring because of the never changing narrative that the Wallace's die.
From spectacular knife scenes to turbulent plot twists season 1 had it all and because of that, season 2 had nothing.
Stranger Things (2016)
Season 4....sucked
I've enjoyed the first 3 seasons. Even with the drama ridden 3rd season. But be prepared, season 4 is absolutely terrible. The story drags on, and on, and on. The show just grids away minute by minute without ever reaching any real ending up to the last episode which leads way to a rushed ending. At some point you have to ask yourself, is this even worth my time anymore?
If you're looking for a never ending saga, with the main character constantly crying and looking weaker and weaker. This is the show for you.
