Masooda (2022)
Intense Thriller... but flawed at times
Usually, I don't watch horror films. But, this time I wanted to try it as I love telugu movies and being a telugu guy I felt I had to watch this blockbuster telugu movie.
So, I watched it. And this is a truly amazing, intense film that I needed to see that kept me wanting to keep watching. But, in the beginning for the first 50 minutes, there was too much buildup and they could've cut 20 minutes or so and filled us in on everything that was going on much faster.
Also, I know they might've not wanted to make this a big budget film, but I really feel like the experience of this film would've been even better if it was higher budget as the voice effects when Nazia would turn into the possessed demon voice, were trash. Also, the sound effects were pretty trash and sounded utterly fake.
But there were some scenes that were really bad as well. Also, in general, the main boy actor, had such poor dialogue delivery, and made terrible facial expressions, and was just an overall poor choice for this film, and he acted extremely terrible.
And then there's that one scene where the main boy actor meets Nazia's dad and screams like ahhhh and holds Nazia's dad with a fist to his face.😂😂 So poorly done, my family and I were joking about it so hard after we finish the movie
Overall, great scary, intense film
P. S. there's only one real jump scare scene like 25 minutes before the movie ends (nearing the climax)
Business Man (2012)
Awesome Serious Entertainer!
I really didn't know what to except when I first watched this movie. I knew this was a serious movie, but wow! The intensity was always there and I loved the acting from Mahesh Babu. That serious face gives me chills! The only comedy was the romance, which was kind of weird, but manageable. The action scenes were amazing. They were different for the time because it was not just the choppy always cutting the camera and shaking the camera type action, it was raw and felt so real when watching. Puri really showed true talent with his direction in this one. And I loved how smoothly they added Prakash Raj as the real true villain. Yet another Puri and Mahesh Babu thriller hit!
Yogi (2007)
Disappointing
See, it is actually a really great story. But VV Vinayak clearly was not making proper use of this. I loved this idea of the son and mom just trying to see each other once and Prabhas did act really well in the movie. Those final 20 minutes my heart was racing and tears were forming in my eyes. I was just waiting for that moment where Prabhas could just see that it was his mom that had died and those last 5 minutes where he finds out that she is dead, I was nearly bawling with him. Nayanthara was really useless and we never got closure if they fall in love or not which was annoying and the songs are all un-needed and I hate that it was really just a one-sided romance and they never truly built that. I was just dissatisfied and disappointed with this movie.
Chatrapathi (2005)
MASS Movie! Thippara Meesam!
Now this movie I can always watch. For me, this has to be one of Rajamouli's best works. The starting scenes already kick us off into a emotional ride that can make a tear fall down from your eye, with Shivaji laying on his moms lap and her singing was magnificent. He has an amazing body, is really sexy, and so is Shriya. I just wish she had more of a role than just for dancing in songs. All the songs are greatly composed and those interval "Oka Adugu!" and "Thippara Missam!" scenes had me whistling away. The second half gets even better and is jam packed with action and emotion. An overall amazing movie.
Acharya (2022)
Pretty Good!
I really liked this movie! It is very simple, and a nice family, good-hearted movie, until it's not. When the action comes it's very dramatic and the usual bad, which was disappointing since it is 2022 and there has been enough time to develop, but I'll stop being picky. The songs are okay, everything else is whack except for Laahe Laahe and Bhale Bhale Banjara which are a little mid. But, the real shooting and Laal Salaam action is way too gory and too much. That's what was just annoying. But, I think a main reason this movie flopped is because I think no one is willing to see communists/Naxalites having a good side and been good-hearted, modest, humble people. Also, a huge disservice was the ending. It ended too quickly and we didn't get all the answers we ended. Like, when will Nilambari find out that Siddha is dead? Overall pretty good movie, worth watching if you're willing to see Naxalites being good people.
Vinaya Vidheya Rama (2019)
Confusion...
Ram Charan is great at acting but this movie horrendously trash. I liked the comedy and rom-com stuff and songs + dancing. But then it skips to really crappily-made action scenes that make no sense and are really over-dramatic, like Bahubali level. And then then we're an hour in and there's a huge action thing and it's really fast paced and starts to make no sense. Then we rewind and go back to past moments. I mean, I know they meant to not put the scenes in chronological order but it just feels like a gigantic confusing piece of poo. Bad movie. Songs were also pretty mid.
Rangasthalam (2018)
Amazing Movie
Rangasthalam is one of those movies that is so grounded and realistic. And it is a very simple, village lovers, movie. This, for me, is the biggest turning point movie for Ram Charan. Here he showed how natural and beautiful acting he can be. Props to Devi Sri Prasad as well. The songs were so pleasantly composed and all of them are great, classic, village tunes. Also, Aadhi and Jagapathi Babu were amazing in there roles!
Yevadu (2014)
Freedom to have the routine story
Great story but terribly executed. Brahmanandham was good but Ram Charan was sooo bland in his acting, super monotone, and barely making expressions.
The songs sucked
Shruti Hassan barely got any time.
The way they showed Kajal Agarwal dying was so stupid and plain.
Also what the hell was it with that random girl love interest person whom was very useless and stupid.
Too many plot holes.
