Body Heat (1981)
Overrated period peace
A barely watchable movie destined to be forgotten. That's why I called this a period peace, not in the sense of an "historical drama", but as what Harold Bloom called period pieces: works that were hyped in their time but are or will be forgotten thereafter. It's clearly what Body Heat is: a clearly so-so movie that due to the trend of neo-noirs and the sex became hyped.
And the acting when it's not awful is just average. It's been a long time since I saw another Kathleen Turner movie so I don't remember if she improved, but her acting is so awful that's on par with Ariane from The Year of the Dragon. Most of the time while I was watching this movie I was thinking if I should stop or keep on going. Of course, you can have fun watching it, but it's clearly disposable entertainment and not art.
John Dies at the End (2012)
This movie to be considered bad has to improve a lot
I think it's the worst movie I've ever seen. The acting is bad, it's trashy, it's not funny and it has no value.
The Blacklist (2013)
I can't stand Keen anymore
I'm considering abandoning the series. The only good thing about it is Red and his entourage. But in this last episode (S08E04) they made him look stupid (maybe to make Keen save face) and destroyed the only good thing in the series. I still give it 7 for the past, but I feel if I continue watching it, I'll have to lower it to one.
Deep in the Valley (2009)
The most beatiful romantic film ever
This movie is the most beatiful romantic film ever. Watch it with your wife.
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
A movie for blind-fans only...
This was the worst movie I ever saw in my life... The script is horrible, the dialogues pathetic, the direction is 'cliché' and the actors were amazingly bad directed.
Those inserts and flashbacks in the movie are ridiculous and some dialogues are excessive because the image could explain it all. The soundtrack doesn't make an impact but dulls the scenes and the battles are laughable for those who saw 'alexander nevski', 'braveheart' and other epic/war movies.
